He spoke over me, interrupting my interruption like it hadn't happened. "Should be more than enough time to turn your perspective upside down. What do you think cupcake?"

"I'm not food," I muttered darkly.

"Excuse me?"

"I said, I'm not food!" I said louder.

His eyes roved across my defiant face. "Dear Lord," he pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation. "This might be harder than I thought."

Lisa Hale believed that she was prepared for her senior year. Class, tests and the occasional drama pertaining to ex best friends. She'd thought she had it all handled.

Chase Anderson expected a dull year. He didn't expect the fiery ball of snark coupled with wit that was Lisa Hale. Intrigued, he decides to play a game with her.
