Crystal lives in the villa alone. It has been one month since the last time she saw Alex face to face, except for seeing him looking after Maya in the hospital every day in the live news. He has set an affectionate image successfully in public, but sadly not to her. Crystal smiles wryly at the news. Although she is his rightful wife, she can only watch Alex courting another woman.

Suddenly, a wave of nausea rises from her throat. Crystal drops the phone on the dinner table and rushes to the restroom. She feels sick but cannot throw anything out. A strange feeling takes the better of her. She cannot help putting her hands on her belly. It has been one month since the last time Alex came here…

I might be pregnant, she thinks to herself. This thought makes her happy. To confirm her speculation, she takes the cab to the hospital immediately.

"Congratulations, Miss Gu. You've been pregnant for four weeks."

Tears well up in Crystal's eyes. It can be the happiest moment in three years. Finally, she is pregnant with Alex's baby. Alex will stay with her because of the baby. Crystal takes another look at the test result. She cannot wait to tell this great news to Alex.

"It's windy out there. Why do you come out alone?" The words are mean, but there is no sense of accusation to the voice. It's so familiar that it catches Crystal's attention immediately. She stops and turns around. It's Alex. He looks at Maya with love and there are sparkles in his eyes. He has never looked at her in that way.

Alex worriedly walks towards Maya, takes off his suit to cover her up, and carries her in his arms. "Don't you know how weak you are?"

Maya acts like a child who has done something wrong, "I've stayed in the room for too long. I just want to get some fresh air."

Crystal freezes on the spot at once, not sure what to do with herself as soon as she sets eyes on them. What a ridiculous view.

There is no doubt that Maya has seen her as well. She nervously hides towards Alex and gives Crystal a startled look.

"Crystal, I don't mean to bother you and Alex. It's just I'm not feeling well, and have to come back."

It seems like Crystal is the bully, the mistress, while she's the victim, the good wife. How ironic!

"Why are you explaining so much to her? As long as I'm here, you can go anywhere you want." Alex unconditionally stands in front of Maya and glares at Crystal as if she's a consummate villain.

His words provoke Crystal. She clenches her teeth and holds the result tight. "I'm pregnant, Alex."

Alex's expression changes. He glares at Crystal, and if eyes can kill someone, she must be dead for a thousand times.

"I've never seeded inside you. How do you get pregnant, huh?" He continues, glaring at Crystal like a beast that will smash her into pieces at any second. "Is this your new trick to drive Maya away?"

Crystal's heart is bleeding. She clears her nose and rebukes, "You should know that withdrawal is not 100 percent safe. I'm lucky."

She shows the crumbled test result to Alex. "If you doubt it, go check it. It should be a piece of cake for you."

Alex stares at the test result and narrows his eyes.

Watching the two talking, Maya is devoured by envy and hatred. She hates Crystal, hates the fact she suffers a lot over the past few years, that Crystal marries Alex, that Crystal's carrying Alex's baby. With this baby, how could Alex break up with Crystal? How could Alex come back to her?
