Thomas Bentley was as old-money as money gets. Forget silver; he was born with a diamond spoon in his mouth, but wasn't content with the overstuffed cushion of wealth he rested on like a throne. No, he'd rather an ivory tower, Louboutin-clad feet resting crossed on the necks of the working class.

Or that was how Meredith Garcia saw it. Her upbringing felt like the fall after an acid trip in the back of a high-school party -- side effects may include a heavy load of cynicism and a few trust issues. She fought tooth and nail to escape her birthplace, no matter how much debt she shouldered for it. (After all, she was already under the heels of the one-percent, what was the worst that could happen? Back pain seemed a small trade-off.)

She moved to DC to cover the election, wide-eyed but without the knowledge that the 2020 presidential frontrunner was an obnoxious, morally-bankrupt people-pleaser. But what happens when one Meredith Garcia becomes the person he's most eager to please?
