International Women's Day

8th March 2014

One of the two favourite pass time of mine is either sleeping or reading. I was doing both (Lol) I mean, after getting done with reading I was about to sleep. Meanwhile I heard my 'Pearl in an Ocean' voices. I got up without seeing anything & ran towards hall. Fortunately, they was but on SKYPE talking Mom, Dad, sister-in-laws & brothers.

As soon as all saw me, handed me the laptop to talk carelessly. My 'Pearl in an Ocean' are more other than my pretty nieces & a bashful nephew to me. Both of my nieces are fantabulous. Kyra the eldest one, beautiful, pretty, intelligent. She 92% in

12th & now completing entrance exam for medical. A die hard fan of 'Unmukt Chand' an under Indian team captain, also plays in IPL from daredevils.

Anvisha, sweet, innocent, quick- witted. Love to play & watch football. A crazy fan of ' Christiano Ronaldo,' also my editor cause whenever I pen down something I asked her to check it out?

Anay, mad over cartoon, can watch all day cartoon & we let him. He is gust but never changes his clothes in front of girls.

These are my eldest sister's children who stays in Hyberabad with doctor bro-in-law.

Anvisha said, ' hey congratulations". May God bless you with oodles of happiness in your life."

Kyra bantered, cardiologist, huh ? so that you can do 'dil ki baate!' I shyly smirked & both started pulling my legs together, blushing, blushing.

My eldest sister, Siya, asked for an apology as they would not able to attend my ''Engagement' cause of their exams. She wished me, 'loads of good wishes' & ordered me to go start getting ready its 12pm. We bid them goodbye & went offline.

I was happy but sad more. Mom, sisters-in-laws, even Samaira told me to start getting ready. It'll take time as you are the 'centre of attraction' today & she smirked.

The good thing was I don't have to go to the parlor. Samaira will get me ready as she did beautician course worth Rs. 1000/. She's a gynaecologist by profession but a beautician by passion. She always tells me that I'm BEA-U-TI-FUL but she's my sister and that's why she says that.

After getting done with everything we left home for Seawoods near Palm beach road. Uncle booked the engagement hall nearby his house & everybody was so damn elated. Everyone was ready to rock the floor.

All my pals were asking me, Venue? While I was talking with them on the phone, I saw Naksh entering in the hall in a decent Chinese collar white sherwani with round buttons attached in it line wise.

Shanaya answered screaming, Will you answer today? Whatsapp me the address.

He was standing right beside me with an inch distance between us. I started feeling nervous. My heartbeat fastens. Blood got cold. I was shivering almost. My eyes were fixed on the entrance. I was waiting for my pals. And they reached & now finally in front of my eyes.

Sorry! All said together. Pretty in pink & cream sharara with a light embroidered on it & the way Samaira pinned your dupatta covering your head, elegant. I guess, Samaira only choose it for you. Thumbs up for her selection & for your parents too.

Arish said, will you introduce us? I was...umm... Ahh... & Cheryl said, lets do it ourselves.

After introducing themselves to him, they came back to me & with a broad smile on their face said, Hot like summer, no matter how much you deny it, but still have to accept it, he is oh!

C'mon Arohi... He is soft spoken, well mannered, a reputed 'cardiologist' & still you're not sure about him. What else you want? Shanaya asked annoyingly. Still nothing was soothing me. The fear of almost everything was killing me.

The' Engagement Ceremony' started. Now, we both were facing each other face in front of all the crowds. There came a round brass plate with the rose petals on it & in the middle a heartshaped ring box & here we go! I took out the ring hesitatingly from the box & put it in his left hand ring finger & a huge around of applause started.

Now, it was his turn. The moment he was about to put ring in my ringfinger. I, looking deep into his big black eyes & for a while I was lost in it. We both were talking. No, not with the mouth but with the eyes. He was asking me with his eyes, May I? And, I moved my hand forward towards him and got engaged!
