CHAPTER 03

Alexander showed her his palace like home. Erica was watching everything in awe. The whole mansion was painted in blue. "He is obsessed with blue color." Erica thought.

He showed her all the rooms, kitchen, ball room, living room, garden and pool as well. They sat in the garden for a while, without a word. It was evening when he got up and went back into the house. Erica stayed in the garden longer than Alexander. Then she also got up and went in. As she stepped into the house, she was welcomed by angry Alexander. He was yelling crazily at his company manager, who was standing in front of him. "Just get out and don't you dare show me your face again." Alexander yelled.

The manager nodded and left. Alexander went back to his room and shut the door with a loud thud. Erica shivered but she wanted to know the reason behind his anger. She slowly made her way back to the room. He was sitting on one of the couches. Some papers were on the table and he was going through them. "Curse that old woman." He said, Erica took a deep breath and went to his side.

She sat beside him and carefully observed what he was doing. He was checking all the papers and summarizing every single page, one by one. "What happened?" She asked softly.

He sighed, he didn't want to scare her anymore. "My mother has sent me a gift which is going to keep me occupied all night. And I have a party to attend. She knows exactly how to make my life hell." Alexander spoke angrily.

"How about, you go to the party and I'll do all your work?" She asked with a dimpled cute smile.

He looked at her with a raised brow. "This isn't a homework baby girl. Just one mistake and I am in trouble." He explained.

"You are summarizing these, one by one. It's something I have done for years." She said.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

She sighed, her smile was now gone. "My father had a good job. If he wanted, he would have given me a good life. But his son was everything for him. I used to work 2 jobs to pay for my expenses in the house, but still couldn't get enough to get myself admitted into the dance school. They always said that I will get married and leave them, but their son will always be by their side. They sold me to your mother to save his life." She told him everything.

He felt his heart almost jump out of his ribcage when she told him her secrets. He felt sad for her to suffer like this and angry because for him, her parents never actually deserved a cute little princess like her. An idea popped up in his mind and he smiled. "What if, you do all this work and I will take you to the best dance school and you will also be participating in a competition that is going to be held in January? What do you say?" He asked.

"Really? You will do that all for me?" She asked cutely. He chuckled.

"Of course baby girl. You are giving me a favor, dance school will be a favor in return." He explained. She started jumping on the couch happily.

"I promise I will do it without any mistakes." She happily promised him.

"But my mother will catch us. She knows my handwriting." He said with a raised brow.

"Don't worry. I'll copy your handwriting and she won't be able to recognize it. Just give me your school notebook and we are good." She reassured him.

"Really? You can copy handwriting?" He asked. Shock visible on his face.

"Of course. It's one of my secrets." She whispered and he chuckled.

"Okay then. I'm trusting you with this." He said.

"Don't worry. You go and get ready. I'll be doing your work." She reassured him, he nodded and gave her his old notebook. He stepped into the bathroom to get ready and she busied herself in summarizing the papers.

Fifteen minutes later, he stepped out of the bathroom, freshly showered. He was wearing dark blue jeans. He was drying his hair with a towel and she was drooling over his half naked body. He caught her drooling over him in the mirror and he smirked. "I know I'm delicious but it's not healthy, drooling over someone like this baby girl." He said in a teasing tone. She narrowed her eyes and blushed hard. He chuckled and shook his head. She looked so adorable while blushing or embarrassed. He wore his light grey shirt, styled his hair and wore his jacket. Then he went to the couch, sat beside her and started reading all the summaries she had done by then. He was really impressed. She was a genius and as she said, she actually copies his handwriting. No one could get a hint that he hadn't written this.

"You're actually a genius baby girl. I'm impressed." He complimented. She narrowed her eyes and her cheeks turned pink.

"Why are you blushing now?" He asked.

"Nothing, Thank you." She replied softly.

"You're welcome baby girl." He said with a sexy smirk on his handsome face.

"So this isn't the favor me staying here with you?" She asked.

"Oh no baby girl. This is a really small favor you're doing to me and I will be returning that favor as I have promised you. But you staying here is going to cost you bigger favors." He explained.

"What kind of favors?" She asked hesitantly.

"Don't worry baby girl. I am not going to ask you anything you can't do." He explained with a wink. She blushed hard but nodded her head. He wore his shoes and stood up.

"The dinner is in the fridge, you can use the microwave to heat it up and I want it all to be finished. Are we clear here baby girl?" He said in a serious tone and she nodded her head.

"That's my girl. Now finish this work, then eat and then go to bed. Okay?" He asked.

"Okay." She replied with a smile. He nodded his head and exited the room. She kept herself busy with all the papers. After a few hours, she was done with all the papers. She rechecked them all for any mistakes but it was perfectly done. She stretched her small arms above her head and stood up. She gathered all the papers, arranged them and put them all in Alexander's drawer on the study table. She then stepped into the bathroom, peeled off her clothes and hopped into the hot shower. She came out of the bathroom after 10 minutes. She walked into the closet and looked for any huge size shirt or comfy PJs but all she had were silky or lacy nighties. She wasn't feeling like wearing those. She smiled when an idea popped up in her mind. She opened Alexander's side of the closet and took his blue t-shirt. It was a fixed size shirt for him but for her, it reached to her mid thighs.

"That's the benefit of being short." She thought and exited the closet.

She went to the kitchen and opened the fridge. She found a huge plate of pasta with a sticky note on it. "I want it to be finished and if you try to double cross me, I'll be angry then. And yes, I can see you finishing all the pasta by yourself. So don't you dare throw it into the garbage baby girl. Alex." She frowned her brows and took the plate out of the fridge. She heated it up and ate it all.

It was way too much for her small tummy but she didn't want to anger him. She felt too heavy after eating all of it. She decided to go for a walk. She stepped out of the house and started walking into the garden. It was peaceful and she enjoyed her walk. She felt free and happy being with him. She smiled when she remembered that he had given her a pet name, "Baby girl. Why does he call me baby girl?" She thought. She sighed and decided to go back to her room. As she stepped into the bedroom, a yawn escaped her red lips and she stretched her small arms above her head. She went to the bathroom, did her night business, came out of the bathroom and crawled into bed. She pulled the comforter over her small body, closed her eyes and drifted off.
