-HER-

“How did it happen? Who did this?” Lisa asks me as she tries to calm me down. Ivelle is driving us to her apartment. I cry silently. My tears stream down my cheeks while I look out of the window.

“Holly,” I whisper while clutching my dress. My stomach churns painfully and my thoughts are in chaos. It was humiliating and the fact that so many people witnessed it made the situation even worse. I don’t know what to do next. My dignity has been stolen. I don’t want to go to college anymore. I am in shock.

“Her?” Lisa hisses before cursing out loud. I try to swallow my tears as I sink back into my seat. Lisa and Ivelle try to talk to me but I don’t answer any of their queries. I want to be left alone. I want to disappear.

“It will be alright, Cybele, don’t cry…” Ivelle speaks from the front seat.

“I will deal with that bitch,” Lisa mutters beside me. Ivelle gives me some of her clothes to wear when we reach her apartment. Since she is the same size as me so they fit me perfectly. Lisa is already plotting revenge while Ivelle helps me clean my makeup and makes tea of us.

“Why would she do this!” Lisa bellows. She is the angriest while Ivelle is trying to calm both of us down. Meanwhile, I have curled up on a small couch and taking very small sips from my cup of tea as I try to think. My thoughts are scattered. I am slowly recovering from the shock.

When I finally feel like speaking, I tell them everything. They listen to me patiently before Lisa starts to curse out even louder.

“This is very humiliating. She must apologize to you,” Ivelle speaks while Lisa aggressively shakes her head. “Do you think that bitch will apologize? Do you think that she has even the slightest decency to apologize?” Liza bellows.

“I am dropping out,” I say abruptly.

“No, you are not!” Lisa shouts at me while Ivelle shakes her head at me.

“I can’t go back after that humiliation. Please…” the tears come back and I let them out. Ivelle gently rubs my back while Lisa watches me with pity.

“I never understand why girls do this to each other. We are our greatest enemies,” Ivelle speaks gently before she hugs me. I hug her back before crying on her shoulder. I decide to spend the rest of the night with them in Ivelle’s apartment. I text mom to let her know that I am staying out. I chose to ignore her text when she asks me about the party.

“We cannot let her get away with this,” Lisa mutters as she paces across Ivelle’s living room. I am nibbling on the pizza that Ivelle has ordered for the night. She has put some slow music in the background and opened all the windows of her living room to let the cool night air in.

“What are you going to do about it?” Ivelle asks as she massages my scalp lightly while I put my head on her lap. I love how she is comforting and compassionate. She has been trying since the evening to lighten my mood. I feel somewhat better than before but I still have the stigma from the incident.

Suddenly, Lisa’s eyes light up before she speaks, “We don’t have to do anything about it. The president of the student council will do the work for us,” This instantly makes me think of him. He was missing from my thoughts for the past week. I saw him a couple of times in college but I did not feel anything. This could mean that my infatuation for him has died. Well... good for me, right?

“You mean Jake Emerson? Why would he do anything? Wait, are you going to tell this to him?” Ivelle asks all at once, not waiting for once to catch up on her breath. I sit up and look at Lisa to know if she is joking or if she is really serious.

Lisa has a sly smile decorating her lips before she pulls out her phone and says, “I have the perfect plan to get back to her. If we manage to execute it properly then it would work wonders,”

-HIM-

“Are you sure?” Brooke asks me as I drive us home from college after the fresher’s party is over.

“Yes, it was her,” I mutter, thinking about the piece of cloth that I found. I am sure it belongs to her. It smells like her too.

“Did you see the license plate of the car? Could you remember it?” Brook asks after I tell her about the whole incident.

“No, I did not get the chance to see it,” I tell her before mentally cursing myself. I was so busy staring at her figure that I did not think about seeing the license plate of the car. It would have been easier for us to track her then but now, we know for sure that she is a junior. We are very sure about this now.

“Ok. It doesn’t matter now. We know that she is a junior. It may take a few weeks but we can look through the students and find her,” Brooke assures me and I nod lightly. This will be a lot of work but I am ready to do anything to find her at this point.

“Do you think she is a werewolf?” She asks.

“No, she is a human for sure. Her scent tells me so,” I answer, thinking about her scent. I have come across it quite sometimes and now I have a piece of her cloth. She smells like peaches and cinnamon. It makes my stomach dip whenever I think of it. It has the capability of driving me insane and make my wolf stir inside me. She has started to affect me and I haven’t even met her yet.

“If she is a human then you’d have to work hard. We haven’t had a human pack member in a long time,” Brooke comments, seemingly deep into her pool of thoughts. It makes me realize for the first time that it would not be easy with her but this isn’t my concern yet. My priority is to find her before the council forces me to take Tiffany as my mate. I don’t want this disaster to happen.

My mate better shows up before this. We need her... only if I could tell this to her.
