Ella's POV

“I had been walking for several hours looking for a good afterschool job but then i couldnt find a good one.It was either the pay was way too small or the job was far too demanding” I said to Mrs Drew,the florist. I met up with her everyday to help with her flowers and she was really nice to me.

Times like this I wished I had friends to talk to but James didn’t allow friends.Not like he had any say in my life because I wasn’t scared of him in anyway but I wanted to be really focused on my plans.

“Don’t worry Ella you’ll find a good job with time.You should run along now I’ll take care of the flowers.”

“Okay Mrs Drew I’ll see you later”..

I walked over to the coffee shop close-by and I got a doughnut and a cup of iced coffee. I was on my way to Anderson’s code cafe.I wanted to go in and have a tour but i didn’t have enough time to do that.By the way my class was going to start soon so I walked away and made a mental note to stop and eat something there.I turned and I felt hot coffee on my shirt.How did that even happen?

“Oh my God,I’m so sorry” The stranger said wiping my shirt off hurriedly with a paper towel.Who does that? And what kind of person wears shades and a face cap when it’s cold.I studied his face and I was amazed.He was handsome like freakishly handsome and I could swear that I was already drooling and all this time he was talking and trying to wipe off the coffee stain.Oh hot coffee..now I felt the pain.

“Ouch” I screamed in pain and he started apologizing again.I took the can of cold water with him and poured it on my shirt.I’m sure I was going to get red burns on my skin.All thanks to Mr Glasses.

“I am so sorry but did you really have to pour the water on your body” He said smirking

“Who gave you the bloody right to smirk glasses boy” I said glaring at him.

“It’s just that I can see your lacy black bra from here” Any normal girl would try to cover up but I didn’t care at all.I just wanted the pain to stop.

“Oh okay keep looking” I said crossing my arms across my chest.

“Oh wow feisty..I like feisty you know”

“And I don’t care..bye!” I started walking away with tge thought of how I was going to walk into my class dripping wet with my bra on a show.

“Can I drop you off?” he asked looking at me. I opened my mouth to interrupt and he beat me to it.

“I have food in the car,an extra shirt and I could turn the heater on” he said smiling mischievously.Of course I couldn’t say no to that,especially food.

“Okay fine let’s go” We walked up to his car and I noticed that they were guards following us.I hated guards so much.Maybe because James had them and they prevented me from scratching his eyeballs out.Yesterday,he beat my mother again and she almost died.Imagine he had the guts to say my mother was attacked by hoodlums and the doctor believed him.

“Hey are you okay?” Mr glasses asked looking at my fists.I didn’t realize that I had been clenching my fists.Just the thought of James made me so angry and irritated.

“Oh yes I’m fine,just hungry” I said offering him a small smile and he passed me the burger and milkshake next to him.I dug in immediately because I was so hungry and this burger was so good.

“Where did you get this burger from” I said in a muffled voice since I still had food in my mouth.

“Here’s the shirt I told you about and you are joking right?”

“Thank you and joking about what?” I said Mimicking him and he chuckled lightly.

“ I got it from Anderson’s code cafe..I’m surprised you have never had it..Its new on their menu and also selling really fast”

“Oh wow well I’ll stop at stones university” I said arranging my bag and sitting up.

“You school there?”

“No I just love going there for sightseeing” I rolled my eyes .Stones university was an elite school,really expensive and all.They had the best lecturers and I am super grateful to them for the scholarship that they gave me.Even though I could afford it but James didn’t have to know that I was loaded.The world didn’t have to know because my plans would be ruined.

“But it isn’t a tourist center” He said and I turned to look at him and he sighed. “Oh you were being sarcastic”.

“Yeah right” We finally got to my stop and I realized that I hadn’t gotten his name but whatever.It was better this way.I didn’t need friends.

“Should I fall you coffee girl or do you have a name” I thought he was never going to ask.

“That won’t be necessary” I smirked and walked away.

“I’ll find out” he screamed and his cars sped off.

I walked into the university and headed straight to one of the toilets downstairs to change my shirt and I left later since I was already late for class. I walked down to Anderson’s code cafe and entered admiring the art works and the beauty of the cafe.I sat down on one of their love seats and looked at their menu.

“Can you please get out you’re not needed here anymore” I turned around to see a short Chinese man dressed like a chef talking to a young man who didn’t look like he cared that he was loosing his job.The chef sat down on one of the seats close to mine and groaned.

“ oh where am I going to get a new staff now,i do not have any more time on my side” he said massaging his temples.A new staff? I could work here.I was a very good cook and I a student of culinary arts in the prestigious stones university.Of course I could work here.I stood up and walked up to him.

“Hello sir!” I grinned.

“Yes, how may I help you young lady?”

“I could work here.” I smiled and he looked at me weirdly.Wow Ella way to go.

“I mean I heard you complaining and I could save you the stress of hiring a new staff. I have my files here with me and I don’t mind being interviewed right now.”

“Oh wow,what’s your name and how old are you?”

“I’m Ella brown, A student of stones university, Studying culinary arts and I’m twenty years old.”

“Okay follow me” I grinned and followed him and he directed me to the CEO’s office for my interview.Good Job Ella!
