Chapter 3: Where did you buy a girl?

It was Friday already and my parents were leaving for their business trip. Adam and I, with our friends, will be taking the plane for Mauritius island tomorrow. Those past few days, I tried to talk to more people and whenever Stacy would talk to me, I'd simply go quiet because I, as usual, didn't want to attract attention to me. Adam would simply sigh and rolled his eyes at me. Rebecca too, would sighed at my behavior. She wanted me to let my hair loose and I wanted my hair to be in a bun. I find it more easier to concentrate in class when my hair is not all over my face.

I put on a denim high waist short and a top before walking downstairs. My dark red hair was flowing on my back in his natural wavy way. I gotta admit that there was a huge difference when my hair was tied and when it was not. I found myself more confident and beautiful when my hair was down. I ran down the stair and saw my parents' suitcase on the porch. I walked to the living room to see my brother sprawled on the couch and my parents sitting in front of me. Apparently, they were waiting for me. I walked to the couch and pushed Adam's feet off it before sitting down.

"So, even though I know you already know the rules, I'm going to repeat everything all over again" My mother said and my father nodded. "As you're the star quarterback of your school, it's obvious that you're expected to have a party before holidays and I'm giving you the permission to throw a party today" my mother said and Adam fist pumped the air, making me chuckle. "Tomorrow your flight will be at eight in the afternoon" she told us.

"You're also expected to clean the house after the party" my father added and we rolled our eyes. We already know that.

"We know that dad" I said and he rose his eyebrows at me.

"Really? Because the last time, I remember walking in the house with teens sprawled in the house and with some naked asses sleeping by the pool" My father told me and Adam and I burst out laughing.

"Your fault. You got home too early" Adam said and I chuckled.

"Your fault for not telling me that there was a party going on in my own house" my father backfired and we all burst out laughing.

"No illegal stuffs during the party" My mother warned. "And when you'll reach Mauritius, my friend Kelsey will pick you up from the airport" she said and handed me a piece of paper with a number scribbled on it.

"Since when do you have friends there?" I asked curiously and she gave me a grin.

"She's going on holiday with her kids too and the greatest news, the bungalow that we rented is just next to hers" my mother said happily. Adam rolled his eyes and gave my mom a pointed look.

"No parental supervision, you said" he mumbled and my mother shrugged.

"She's not your parent" she said sheepishly and my father chuckled.

"You don't have to worry about anything" my father said. "If you have any problem, you'll just have to go and see her" we nodded and watched as they stood up.

"I guess that's all" my mother said with a sad smile. She always get emotional whenever they have to go to a long business trip. They hate to leave us alone.

"We trust you guys" Dad said and walked to the door.

"We know. We're going to take our responsibilities" Adam said and I know he really mean it. We always do. We do not want to break that trust and freedom that our parents gave us.

"I'm going to miss you" my mother said and kissed us on our forehead. My father did the same and started walking to their car with their suitcases.

"We love you, chipmunks!" My father shouted and we chuckled and waved at them.

"We love you too!" I shouted back and watched as they drove away. My mother was still waving, making me smile. Adam walked in the house and pulled his phone out of his pocket as I closed the door.

"Now, let's get this party started" he mumbled and started typing on his phone. "And this time, you're not staying in your room" he warned. Whenever he'd have a party, I usually stayed in my room because I didn't want people to see me. Partying was my thing. But partying with high schoolers wasn't. Usually, I'd go to college parties with Hannah and Rebecca. There, people wouldn't recognize me. I mean, if I went to any parties from guys of the school, it would ruin my nerd reputation. I know, you're probably asking yourself why I'm so obsessed with my grades and why I wanted to keep this low reputation. Well, that's because, I fucked up once in my life and that was two years ago. I was fifteen and I lived in New York before moving here. I never hid myself but then, rumors started to be heard about me. The bitches from my previous school would spread rumors quicker than they'd spread their legs. Students started to harass me and I was getting tired of all this. I did one mistake to deserve that. I dated the popular guy. The popular jerk of the school who only wanted me for sex, which obviously I didn't give. That's why they started rumors.

When my parents heard of these rumors and the harassments, they decided to move. It was not petty harassments. No. They actually sprayed the front wall of my house and they wrote: Bitch. I remember that I'd cry myself to sleep. That's why I decided not to show the real me. People like Stacy would see me as a threat to their reputation and thus will try to bring me down. So, I decided to appear already down so they wouldn't need to pull me. For what concerns the good grades, that's just an obsession that I have. I always want to pass all the things I do. Even in my previous school I had good grades. I have still one year to go to school and I was tired to hide me. I should show everyone who I am really. I looked at my clothes and my hair in the reflection of the windowpane. No one would think that I'm the nerd of the school if they saw me like that. I think it's high time I drop the act. I already have my friends who'd support me. So why hide?

"I'm going to party tonight!" I stated and watched as Adam grinned and wrapped his arm over my shoulder.

"Now that's my sister that I loved" he said and I playfully punched him. "We need alcohol" he suddenly stated and I nodded in agreement.

"You take care of the invitations and the decorations while I'm going to take care of food and alcohol" I told him and he nodded. I ran up to my room and picked up my phone. I dialed Jonathan's number and waited for him to answer.

"Hello?" I heard him answer lazily and I instantly knew he was sleeping.

"Get your ass out of bed and come home" I ordered.

"On it, mam" he responded sarcastically and I chuckled.

"Tori! Hannah is downstairs!" Adam shouted and I sighed. I wasn't going to go downstairs right now. I'm going to give them some privacy. I took my red lipstick which matched my hair and applied it on my lips. I put a small line of eyeliner and ran to my phone when I heard it vibrate.

"I'm downstairs!" He shouted and I could hear his voice from both the phone and the living room. I took my hand bag and walked downstairs.

"What took you so long?" Hannah asked and I watched to where she was sitting. Adam was sitting by her side and I smiled.

"Wanted to give you two some privacy" I said and watched as Hannah turned bright red and Adam glared at them. I love to embarrass them.

"Shut up!" Hannah mumbled and I chuckled.

"John and I are going to buy food and drinks. You can stay here and flirt with my brother" I joked and pulled John out of the house, leaving Hannah and Adam alone. I seriously expect one of them to make the first step.

"So where are we going?" John asked as I started the car. I drove to the nearby supermarket and turned to look at him with a grin.

"To the supermarket" I said and he rolled his eyes. He got out of the car and I followed after him. I locked the door and walked behind John. I saw some girls staring John and watched me with envy. If only they knew that he was gay. We got into the supermarket and walked to the snacks aisle. I picked up a trolley and John being John, started throwing various snacks in the trolley, without even looking at them. "John!" I hissed and just then, he threw a packet of chips on my face. He started laughing when I glared at him. "You're so immature!" I shouted and he smirked.

"You're so mature!" he whined and I grinned at him. "I want some fun" he said and I chuckled.

"You want fun?" I questioned and he nodded with expectation. I jumped in the trolley and watched as his eyes widened in excitement. "Push me in the aisles" I ordered while laughing. I clutched to the sides of the trolley when he placed himself behind the trolley.

"One, Two, three!" he shouted and started running thought the aisle. I started squealing as he ran and all we could hear in the supermarket were our laughter. We would get glares from people who were doing their shopping and we would only laugh at their faces. I slowly let go of the side of the trolley and spread my arms as John pushed me.

"Titanic!" I shouted while laughing and I could hear John laughing behind me. I turned slowly while John pushed me so that I was facing him. He slowed down his pace and flashed me a smile. Then he stopped and his eyes drifted to someone behind me.

"Hey man. What are you doing? And where did you buy a girl?" I heard a deep sexy voice talking to John from behind me. I didn't dare myself to turn. I would recognize that voice from anywhere.

"Aiden. That's Karma. She wanted to have some fun" John said and looked at me. "Get out of this now" he said and chuckled when I shook my head.

"I don't want to walk and you wanted to have some fun" I said truthfully. In fact, I didn't want to face Aiden. He never saw me like this.

"You'll have to" John said and put his hands on my waist and lifted me out if the trolley. I glared at him and slowly turned to face Aiden. His eyes raked me from head to toe and I stared back at him. He was wearing a black jean and a blue shirt. I tried not to notice how hot he looked with his messy hair. I noticed his eyes widening as he realized who I was.

"Is that the nerd?" he questioned in disbelief. I blinked several times and pinched John when he snickered.

"Yeah, that's the nerd" He replied and I pinched him harder. I ignored Aiden's eyes which were fixed in me and glared at John. Aiden crossed his arm and I gulped when I saw his biceps flexed.

"Can't she talk?" he asked with amusement.

"She can. But she won't" John said and stared at me. I shrugged and walked down the aisle. "There's a party at Adam's, you're coming, right?" John asked and I scoffed. Seems like John was interested with the bad boy.

"Yeah, he invited me" Aiden said.

"Well, got to go before she leaves me here!" John exclaimed and soon, I could feel him next to him.

"see you there, nerd!" I heard Aiden's voice and I took a deep breath. I never talked to him before and I hope I never will. I have a bad feeling around him. I don't want the past to repeat itself.
