Tulip’s POV

Right after peeing I went out of the restroom and I saw the guy leaning at the wall. He really waited for me.

“So shall we buy my coffee now?” the guy uttered the moment he noticed my presence.

“Yeah sure. But can we go to my friend first she’s at the ice cream shop and she’s waiting for me.” that lady might be rolling her eyes a couple of times now and she will complain that I made her wait for long.

“I’ll have the ice cream then,” he replied then he started walking ahead of me.

“What do you mean?” really I’m confused.

“Drop replacing me with coffee I want the ice cream instead.” why I didn’t understand it right away it’s just so simple. I’m out of my focus.

“Ice cream then,” I replied and I didn’t hear any words from him anymore until we reached the shop where Lilac is. As soon as we entered the shop I roam my sight around to look for Lilac. Then I found her at the back part on a three-seater table near a mini library of the shop. One of the reasons why I love this ice cream shop is its library where there are lots of great books. I walked towards her direction while the guy was at my back following me.

“Li-” I was about to call Lilac but before I could do that I heard her scream and giggled.

“Gavin!” she yelled and hugged the guy on my back excitedly.

“Lilac” the guy whom Lilac called Gavin replied and smiled at her.

“Why are you here. I thought your arrival is tomorrow morning.” It looks like they know each other that much by the way they talk to each other.

“Am I too early for your birthday party tomorrow? I’m on my way to your house when suddenly I craved for coffee so I dropped by to this mall.” Oh! He’s invited to tomorrow. He’ll be there.

“It’s a good thing that you cam early my cousin. You can help me prepare for tomorrow then.” so she’s Lilac's cousin. I didn’t know that Lilac has a cousin she hasn’t mentioned it to me.

“Sur-”

“Excuse me. You can take a seat first and continue talking.” I cut the guy off by saying it because I need to interrupt because it looks like they forgot about sitting and eating ice cream.

“Sorry Tulips, I’m just so excited with the presence of Gavin.” she’s really excited and enthusiastic.

“Yeah you are. “ I replied to Lilac. “By the way what flavor of ice cream do you want I’ll order for you.” this time I was talking to the guy, remember I owe him something.

“I’ll order and pay for myself. Repay to me some other time. I thought of saving it for next time.” If he insists. Then he left the table and went to the cashier to order.

“So why are you and Gavin are together?” a silly smile was plastered in Lilac’s face while she asked me.

“I bumped with him while on my way to the restroom,” I answered here before scooping a spoon of ice cream from my bowl and eat it.

“And it seems like you owe him something.” that smile was still plastered in her face the only difference is she’s now raising her right brows. I feel like she’s interrogating me.

“When I bumped him accidentally he was holding a cup of coffee and it was spilled and he said he wants me to replace it but later on he said he wants ice cream instead and now he wants me to repay him some other time.” I took another scoop of my strawberry flavored ice cream and dunk it into my mouth.

“Why does it feels like he wants some other time with you.” I don’t know what she’s trying to prove here.

“What do you mean by that Lilac?” I should ask because I can’t get her point.

“It sounds like he wants you to repay him next time and it sounds like he wants to see you next time.” she’s now imagining things.

“Indeed we will see each other on your birthday tomorrow.”

“No! That’s not it. I think she wants a date with you.”

“You know what your imaging too much.”

“Why not!”

“Really? You’re thinking about that but I’m thinking why I can’t repay him now. Why not this time?” I sighed.

“Because there is always next time.” the guy came in the middle of our talking and he interrupted by saying it. With that I heard how Lilac giggled and the guy was smiling again. The smile though.
