Tulip’s POV

“Why did you agree to fetch me. Lilac can text me if she can’t come I can commute.” I said between our silence while we are on the road to Lilac’s house.

“Can you just say thank you.” if only I’m a bitch I have already stabbed him with my harsh words.

“Thank you then, but I just wanna say that I don’t wanna waste someone's time for me.” which is true because I can handle myself.

“You’re not a waste of time.” shock to what he has said I looked at him.

“I’m not?

“Yes darling, you’re not.” what? He just called me darling. I felt my cheeks burning and I felt awkward so I didn’t reply to him and chose to stay silent. I remained silent until we finally reached Lilac’s house. I got out first of the car.

“Thanks,” I said then left him outside not waiting for any response from him and entered on Lilac’s house. I heard the voice of Lilac from the kitchen singing so I hurriedly went there.

“Lilac what was that.” I was pertaining to what had happened earlier where his cousin fetches me instead of her.

“Oh, Tulips you’re here! What are you talking about?” call me overreacting but I just don’t like the idea that his cousin fetches me at my house instead of her. She should have told me earlier that she can’t fetch me so I have commuted at least.

“Why you’re cousin fetch me instead of you?” I directly asked her because I need a direct answer.

“I got some things to do earlier that’s why I ask him a favor and he agreed. Are we having a problem with it?

“Yes,” I answered as I started separating the ingredients that I will be needing for the carbonara from the other groceries.

“I can’t see any problem with it Tulips.” for here there’s none but for me it’s an issue.

“For me I can see a problem. I really don’t like the idea fetched by someone who is still a stranger to me.” I replied as I marched towards the sink and put water on the boiling pot so I could cook the pasta for carbonara.

“I’m so sorry Tulips. The truth is he asked me that if he can fetch you instead,” see? I can really sense that there’s something not right. I’m not dumb.

“Why you agreed? If I only knew I should have commuted.” I’m still talking to her while slicing the onions and cloves of garlic.

“Because he won’t get rid of me till I say yes.

“Aha!” I said with sarcasm while nodding my head slowly and putting the pasta on the boiling water.

“ and also I want you to have someone you can date.

“You know that I’m not ready for that. All of the people you know my past and how it broke me and until now it haunts me.

“I’m sorry Tulips.” she hugged me from behind but I didn’t mind her and continued whatever I’m doing.

“Why he wants to fetch me?” I really don’t know what’s up with that guy.

“Don’t play dumb act here Tulips. Can’t you see that he’s interested in you?” we just met yesterday and then he’ll become interested right away. It’s ridiculous. I took the pot from the stove and pour everything on the strainer so the water will be drained.

“I’m not acting dumb I just can’t figure it out that he’s interested at me. For what reason?” while draining the pasta I then started on cooking the sauce for it.

“No one knows the reason Tulip but one thing’s for sure he likes you.” I can’t process the fact that she’s telling me right now.

“It’s taking too fast Lilac we just met each other yesterday and now you think he likes me,” I replied as I walked towards the table to get the pasta, and then I mixed it with the sauce on the pan.

“Love at first sight maybe Tulips.” I shrugged and never bother to reply again because this conversation won’t end so I just focused on cooking.
