Chapter 6

Zigor Mial’s Point of View

“Zigor, he is an Alpha from the Hilcon pack, one of the strongest packs in this world, why the fuck are you messing with that beast?” her tone sounded so scary against my ear that I can’t help but feel more nervous by the thought that he was here last night, gate crashing and purposely meeting me on my drunkest state.

I checked my whole body and nothing seems wrong… what the hell did he do to me last night? I gritted my teeth and averted my gaze on the pile of papers, sighing.

“W-What is wrong with it?” I stuttered, waiting for her response but no one came until I looked to Mina and she was watching me with slit eyes. She heaved a sigh and gasped before shaking her head.

“You should do some research about your enemy, Zig,” her tone was dismissive. Mina stood up and went to the kitchen, leaving me alone.

“You should do some research about your enemy, Zig,” I copied her and roll my eyes. “My ass, it is not like I am going to see him more,”

I called for a maid to clean the mess we made before walking on the kitchen Mina is already busy trying to prepare our lunch. She was trying to impress my parents with cooking them a brunch since she knew that they are going home today.

It was already done when my parents came. I immediately went and invite them over lunch. Like our usual, the table was never in silent since Mina have so many stories and questions, I even doubt if her brains will ever stop functioning just like her nosy mouth.

“Auntie, what happened on the party?” she intrigued my Mother, I sighed, a bit thankful that finally she got a good sense of topic.

I looked at my Mom and the way she chews her food will ever look so fine, just how my Father eats food and do things.

“Well, it is all doing well, the Royalties from each Kingdom were present until the glasses broke down and a group of wolves came crashing the whole event,”

My ears were all in her, listening.

“She is right, we were about to get attacked by one of them luckily, one big brown wolf appeared and received the attacked,” my Father continued. My brows automatically arched and my mind flashes an image of a big brown wolf. It could be Honust… but how the hell will I know that! For Pete’s sake why would he save my parents?

“But that might have been a mistake, I mean they are a group, how can one turn their back against the whole pack, right?” Mina’s word irritated me all of a sudden.

“That is right but the guardians already said that they saw one of the Alpha’s on the party so it is not impossible that the attack was from them,”

They continued talking and switching to other topics but my mind is already glued on that news. That day of the attack, I saw Honust, bleeding and injured, as if he was on a brawl before bumping into me, it also seems like he was in a hurry that time.

Maybe he is escaping because just like what the guardians said, their pack is the one who attacked the party. Or it could be the other side, that they protected the party from the attackers!

Damn, why am I even thinking of this.

The lunch came to an end and like what Mina always do, she will take a nap on one of our guestrooms that my parents assigned to her, and it was also known here as her room since it was redesigned according to her taste. She really enjoys being my fiancé, huh? Bad news, I do not want to marry her aside from the fact that I really am not feeling any special feeling towards her, she is also my little sister I never had.

I went up to take a nap too, resting my mind into thinking many what ifs and so. I was woken up around three in the afternoon by Mina’s annoying voice, telling me that my parents are calling me so I do not have any choice but to get up, disregarding a short and nasty dream I had.

“Damn, my head still hurts,” I grumble as we walked towards the office of the Palace. My hair a mess and eyes still not opening wide.

“Aunt and Uncle have some special things to say to you, idiot,” I rolled my eyes and followed her until she opened the large door and I saw my parents talking to someone over the phone, seriousness all over their face.

I lazily sat on the couch and waited for them to finish the call. Mina is on the other side also looking around like a little lost child. What is she doing here by the way? She normally goes home after taking a nap.

“Zigor,” I jumped a bit when my Father suddenly called me. I darted my eyes towards them, the phone is now back on its place so obviously the call is now off, he is seating on his wheelchair while Mom is behind him.

“Yes, dad?” I asked casually, yawning.

“Tell Butler Ben to help you pack your things,” Dad spoke, my forehead knotted.

“For what?

“We are going to bring you with us,” he declared causing me to groan inwardly.

“Dad you can just leave me here, I am no longer a child!” I reasoned out and looked at my Mother for help but she just looked at me with a worried face.

“Son, you are our only child, we are afraid that if we leave you here, something not good is going to happen, and we do not want that to happen,” she explained making my shoulders fell.

“So…” I said in a defeated tone, I can’t argue with my Mom, I love her so much and I know she is right if she is not trying to side with me.

They both looked at m trying to analyze what I am thinking before one of them spoke.

“It is a three day meeting with all the associates of this world,”
