Those sparks of red in their eyes, I also saw it in Serafin’s eyes when he imprinted his symbol in my shoulder. I remembered my granny telling me how to know if a human wolf is from the Hybrids or from the Rebels.

When it’s red, they are rebels but if it’s green, they are hybrids. For more than a week of staying here, I only saw sparks of green and it’s my first time seeing sparks of red from someone’s eyes.

I didn’t notice that I’m already in front of the lecture room since I was thinking too deeply about what happened to me earlier, about me suddenly becoming the Rebel’s queen which I never wanted to be.

I sighed and entered the lecture room where I saw Lara waving at me. I walked towards her and sat down at the chair that she reserved for me.

“You look gloomy Cass, what happened to you?” Lara asked, I shrugged “Nah, maybe I’m just tired” I responded and sipped on the chocolate shake that Lara bought for me.

“Wait” Lara suspiciously said and looked at my blouse “You changed your clothes? You’re wearing a different color” Lara said.

“Yeah, I accidentally spilled my drink earlier and so I changed my blouse” I lied. Lara nodded and didn’t ask further questions since the professor entered the lecture room already.

After the class, Lara left for her last class while I walked to the auditorium building to wait for Yvan. I sighed as I sat down on a stone chair outside the building.

I wanted to tell Yvan everything about my encounter with the king but even if I tell him that, nothing will change and I will just put Yvan in danger.

I looked at my watch and it’s already 5 pm but I can’t see Yvan everywhere. I stood up to enter the auditorium. He did not forbid me to enter the auditorium anyway.

I entered the auditorium but I see no one, where is Yvan then? My eyes narrowed as I see no one in the auditorium, was the meeting of the hybrids done already?

I saw a door at the right side of the stage in the auditorium. I went up the stage to get to the door, maybe they’re having their meeting inside.

I entered the room but what I see is a pitch black room “Hello? Is anybody here?” I asked as I reach for the switch of the light but I felt nothing but a plain wall.

“Just where is the switch here?” I asked myself as I reach for the switch. “Hello?” I called for anyone as I try to look for the switch of this room.

“Is anybody---uckk” I wasn’t able to finish what I’m about to say when suddenly someone grabbed my neck as he or she strangles me.

“Who are you” Asked the man who is strangling me in a manly and husky voice.

“G-get-get away f-from m-me” I said as I struggle to free myself from his hands. “Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?!” He asked angrily trying to tighten his hands in my neck. He’s killing me.

“Answer me or I’ll kill you” He said “I-I’m Yvan’s friend and I’m just looking for him, please spare me” I pleaded trying to remove his hand off my neck but he’s too strong that I can’t stop him from strangling me.

After hearing Yvan’s name from my mouth, he let go of my neck. “You are the Delta’s friend?” He asked.

I coughed and tried to catch my breath “Y-yes, h-he told me to wait outside the auditorium by five pm b-but I chose to enter instead” I said as I cough.

“You should have listened to him when he told you to wait for him” He said and leaned forward, he examined my eyes and then he sniffed my neck.

“A human” He said, I can’t see his face and his facial expression but I heard him chuckle“It looks like the Delta brought me a food” He said that made me shiver in fear. He sniffed my neck again like as if he’s addicted to my smell.

“W-what are you doing, stop” I said as I try to push him “This addicting smell, now I know the reason why the Delta befriended you” He said as he stopped sniffing me.

“You smell great” He whispered as he provides a distance between us, I immediately moved away from him. “I-I need to go—“ I said as I walk towards the door but I wasn’t able to finish what I’m saying because he suddenly moved fast and the next thing I knew, he’s already blocking the door.

“Ofcourse you can’t just leave just like that, after getting yourself in trouble by entering the Alpha’s room and after letting the Alpha enjoy your scent, you can’t just leave me alone” He said and walked towards me, my eyes grew wide because of what he said and the realization that the hybrid that I’m facing right now is the Alpha, the most powerful wolf in Luna Canidae.

Because of fear, I walked backwards to stay away from him.

“I-I’m sorry Alpha, I didn’t mean to enter here” I said as I walk backwards.

Déjà vu, this happened to me earlier. The king also did this to me at the café, just what is wrong with me that I keep on dragging myself in danger especially to the hybrids.

“Do you know what happens to humans who enter the Alpha’s room without the Alpha’s permission?” He asked and cornered me to the wall “They die” He whispered.

I bit my lower lip “P-please spare me just this once Alpha, I-I will never do this again” I pleaded but instead, I heard him chuckle. “Sure you will” He said and pressed a button, after that, the room came in to light and I saw his face.

I am currently stuck at my feet right now as I gaze and enjoy his dazzling, handsome, heavenly face. In front of me is another creature thatpossesses supreme visuals just like the Delta, the Beta and the King.

Or no, should I say that this supreme human wolf in front of me is not comparable to the Delta, Beta or the king because he’s more than that. The Alpha is obviously not just powerful, he’s also damn gorgeous.

And as I was enjoying his perfectly made face, I heard him chuckle.

He looked at me and then he smirked and moved closer to me “Enjoying my face?” He asked me as he shows me a pervert’s grin. I immediately avoided his gaze and bowed down my head for me to not meet his eyes “I-I’m sorry” I said.

“Cassandra!” Suddenly I heard Yvan’s voice from outside the room and his mere voice gave me a little hope that I might get out of this room alive. That Yvan, the Delta may save me from the paws of the Alpha.

I heard the Alpha chuckle as he lock his gaze to me “You are one funny human, so you think that he can save you? You think that the Delta can save you from the Alpha?!” The Alpha said painting his mocking expression in his face. He can read my mind? Or no, maybe he saw it in my face.

“I-I’m sorry, please spare me just this once Alpha. I will never infuriate you again” I pleaded.

As I plead, the door opened as Yvan enters the room “Alpha” Yvan said and bowed down to the Alpha.

“You came to save your human friend?” The Alpha asked Yvan. “I apologize for whatever she did, she is a newbie in Luna Canidae and she doesn’t know what she’s doing” Yvan explained and looked at me, In Yvan’s eyes, I see how concerned and angry he is to me.

“Only the Alpha and the Delta has the ability to smell someone’s blood and her scent is not a joke, its addicting, is that the reason why you befriended a human?” The Alpha said locking his gaze to me.

“Yes, I smelled it the first time Cassandra and I met” Yvan answered, I rolled my eyes mentally. This jerk, yes I know the reason why he befriended me and it’s because of my scent but why does it sound so offending to me?

“I see” The Alpha said and looked at Yvan “I’ll spare her and let her go but in return, let her come to the hybrid mansion every Saturdays. She will have to serve me” The Alpha said making my eyes grow wide. No freaking way!

Yvan sighed “She will” Yvan said and looked at me seriously “Cassandra, tell the Alpha that you will visit the Alpha’s house every Saturday” Yvan said.

“W-what?” I said and bit my lower lip. I will be the Alpha’s servant?!

“You will have to say yes Cass” Yvan said trying to persuade me, I slowly nodded my head “Y-yes, I-I will come to the Alpha’s house to serve” I said.

Now I’m doomed, because of my being as a hard headed one. I became the Alpha’s instant slave, great, just darn freaking great!

“Thank you Yvan” I said as I face him after bringing me home from the Alpha’s paws.

“You shouldn’t have entered that room Cass” Yvan said and I can really feel and see how concerned he is to me.

I bit my lower lip “I’m so sorryYvan, I dragged you in to this mess but thank you for saving me from the Alpha” I said.

Yvan sighed and messed up my hair using his hands “Don’t worry, the Alpha won’t hurt you. He will never hurt his people” Yvan said.

“You should go inside now, it’s already 7 pm” Yvan said, I nodded “Thanks” I said and walked to get inside the house.

“Cassandra you’re late again!” Granny said rising her voice “Sorry granny, don’t worry the Delta brought me home” I said assuring her that I’m safe since the Delta was the one who got me home.

Granny sighed “It’s a very good thing that you are friends with a high ranked hybrid Cass. Knowing that the Delta will always be right beside you, I’m assured that you will be okay” Granny said. I stared at granny and sighed too.

Am I really okay if I am around the Hybrids? What if they are the ones who are giving me a tough time?

It’s not just the Delta who is around me, I’m also the Beta’s enemy, the Alpha’s slave and… and the king’s mate. I want to tell granny about everything but I’m afraid. I’m afraid of the consequences that might occur after telling them what’s happening to me.

And I don’t want to drag granny in to this kind of mess. “Granny, I think I will not eat dinner tonight” I said.

“Cassandra, you’re ok right?” Granny asked looking concerned, I smiled “I’m just tired granny” I said and went to my room.

I immediately dived in to my bed and closed my eyes. It’s a long day indeed. A lot of things just happened this day, the Beta became my enemy, the king made me his queen and the Alpha made me become his slave.

I sighed, just why are these things happening to me? What did I do for these unfortunate things to happen?

I instinctively opened my eyes when I suddenly felt someone held my cheeks. I moved only to see a man lying in my bed beside me. “Who---“ I wasn’t able to finish what I’m about to say when he blocked my mouth using his index finger.

“Ssssshhh, don’t move” He said.

That voice, his voice is very familiar “My queen” He whispered as my eyes grow wide “S-serafin, what are you doing here?” I asked as I try to move away from him.

Just what in the hell is the king doing in my room?!

I heard him chuckle “I miss my queen that’s why I’m visiting her” He said as he plays with my hair. “Don’t you miss your king?” He asked.

Serafin moved closer and so I instinctively moved away from him “Serafin please don’t do this to me” I pleaded.

“Do the what?” He asked innocently landing his index finger to my neck up to my face. “Please stop” I pleaded, just how many times should I plead to the hybrids this day and when the hell can I stop saying the phrase ‘please stop’ to them.

“Stop or I’ll scream” I warned but he responded with a silent laugh “Scream then, but after screaming, who do you think will come to rescue? Your granny, what do you think can she do?” He asked in a mocking voice.

I gulped then he chuckled and jumped out of my bed “Don’t worry Cass, I won’t hurt you, you’re my queen anyway” He said, winked at me and then he left my room using my veranda as a way of escape.

I was left alone listening to the sound of the crickets outside and feeling the cold breeze of the wind from outside because of the door of my veranda is opened. I should have listened to Granny, I should have run away and if I did, I wouldn’t have experienced these kinds of humiliations that I’m experiencing right now.

I want to run away but I can’t because it’s too late and I already meddled up with the hybrid’s lives.

I sighed and went back to my bed to rest. Yes I badly need to rest right now since a lot of things happened to me this day. I slowly closed my eyes to sleep. I wish that I could get a proper rest tonight.

“Cassandra? Cassandra wake up” I woke up when I heard granny calling my name as she shake me trying to wake me up, I slowly opened my eyes “Cassandra are you not going to attend your class? It’s already one pm” Granny said.

My eyes grew wide when I heard granny and then I immediately woke up when I heard the time. I can’t be late for my class!

I tried to sit but my body is in pain and my head is too heavy, I also feel dizzy that’s why I wasn’t able to sit down. Granny felt my temperature using her hands.

“Cassandra what happened to you, you’re having a high fever” Granny said as she fix my blanket to cover it to me. “Granny I think I’m not feeling well, I feel nauseous” I said.

“Because you’re having a high fever, what have you been doing for these past few days for you to have a high fever?!” Granny said as she scolds me.

“I’m just tired Granny” I defended “You’re always tired!” She said angrily.

“Don’t attend your classes for today, you need to rest” Granny said, I nodded and then I suddenly thought of those hybrids who gave me a hard time in Luna Canidae. What if I don’t show myself today, will they come in to my house? What if granny learns about my encounter with them?

“G-granny” I called “Yes?” Granny asked.

“Granny can you not let anyone inside our house for now, can you close all our doors and windows just for today?” I asked, I saw how granny’s eyes narrowed.

“Why? Is there a problem Cassandra?” Granny asked.

I immediately smiled for her not to notice how scared I am right now “Ofcourse none, uhm I just want to rest and if possible I don’t want anyone to disturb?” I lied. Granny smiled.

“Sure, I will not let anyone enter for now, take a rest and I’ll make a soup for you” Granny said and walked outside.

“Just how could you catch a cold” Granny murmured as she walks outside my room.

I hope, I just hope the king won’t break into my room later. I don’t want my granny to meet the king nor anyone from the Hybrid Empire. I don’t want to drag her into this.

I held my forehead and then I sighed. If it’s another person who experienced what I had experienced yesterday then it’s also natural for that person to catch a cold.

Who would have thought that in just a day, I will meet the rulers of this island and who would have thought that in just a day I became an instant mate and servant?

I tried to close my eyes to get more rest but I got conscious when I felt someone staring at me. I instinctively opened my eyes and what I saw made me force my body to rise and sit down.

“Are you trying to run away from me? I spared you last night to become my servant but you’re acting like you’re weak” The Alpha said as he sits down on my bed.

“I-I’m sorry, I will make it up to you once I regain my energy. It’s just that I’ really feeling weak right now” I defended trying to show my respect to him.

He stared at me and then he leaned forward “But this damn sweet scent is still in you” He said and sniffed my neck.

“Addicting” He whispered.

“Cassandra!” I panicked when I heard granny shouting my name as I hear her footsteps nearing my room.

I heard the Alpha’s silent chuckle when he saw how I panic “I-I’m sorry b-but Granny shouldn’t see you” I said trying to avoid his gaze.

“You should see me once you get better” He said and went straight to my balcony, as the Alpha vanished, granny opened my window.

I let out a deep sigh “Cassandra, you’re so pale!” Granny said and hurried towards me.

“Granny I’m okay” I said “You always say that but you’re not!” She angrily said.

I sighed, I just want to rest, I just want those hybrids to stay away from me.

I smiled at granny “I’m ok granny” I said and closed my eyes. I just want them to give me a break.
