After the class, Yvan stood up.

“Lara, you should go home alone today. And you Cass----“

“Yeah yeah I know, Cass will have to meet the Alpha. Of course, sure thing I better go then” Lara said and looked at me showing me that she’s sulky. “Bye Cass” Lara said and looked at Yvan “Bye Yvan” She said and left.

I understand that she’s getting sulky. I think I need to at least tell her what really is happening to me.

“Let’s go, the Alpha’s waiting for you” Yvan said. I half nodded and remembered that the king’s also waiting for me.

“Uhh, uhm Yvan I think I need to go to the women’s room. Maybe you can just wait for me outside the building?” I said.

“Can it not wait until we arrive at the Hybrid Mansion?” Yvan asked.

“No, I badly need to pee. It’s a girl thing Yvan” I said.

Yvan sighed “Fine then, I’ll wait for you outside” Yvan said and left.

After Yvan left, I immediately rushed at the back of the building where the rebels are waiting. After getting there, I saw the women who gave me the note and three more men whom I never met before.

“Our queen, it’s time to go, the king is waiting for you” The women said.

“Y-yes, I’ll go but I still need to go somewhere----“

“Cass?” I heard Yvan’s voice from behind me. My eyes grew wide and looked back.

“Y-Yvan” I murmured and saw the color of his eyes change. And in a blink of an eye, he transformed into a very big wolf, bigger than what I saw in the field on my first day here.

Yvan attacked the Rebels, and just like Yvan, the rebels who came to escort me also transformed into wolves but since Yvan is the Delta and he’s stronger. The Rebels do not have any choice but to retreat.

Before they could even leave, I looked into their eyes trying to tell them that I’m sorry.

When the Rebels left, Yvan transformed back to his human body but I panicked and immediately covered my eyes after seeing Yvan’s completely naked body.

“Y-Yvan, you’re naked!” I said. Yvan looked at himself but unlike me, he’s not embarrassed “Oh yeah sorry, Cass can you get me a towel” Yvan shamelessly said.

“W-where the hell can I get a towel for you?” I said.

“Then lend me your jacket” He suggested, my jacket? In the middle of this freaking cold weather?!

But of course, in order to save my innocent eyes, I need to give him my jacket. I slowly removed my jacket and gave it to him without looking at him.

“Thanks, I suggest you wait for me here so that I could wear something before we could go to Hybrid Mansion” Yvan said, I immediately nodded. “Of course you should, I’ll just wait for you here” I said as he leaves to go to his locker room naked.

Gracious goodness why am I the one who’s feeling so embarrassed because of what happened and because of what I saw when in fact it should be Yvan who should be embarrassed because I saw his---- urgh forget it.

“Cassandra” I immediately turned when I heard Serafin’s voice from behind me. “Serafin” I murmured.

He let out a disappointed evil smile “We are supposed to meet but you’re here waiting for that Delta?” Serafin said flashing his seriously disappointed face.

“N-no, let me explain---“

“So are you taking me as a joke now?” He said and I’m getting really terrified because he really sounds so disappointed and angry.

He took steps to get closer to me “Give me one good reason why you chose to follow the Delta instead of your king” He said in a very cold tone as he lessens the distance between us.

I formed a fist in my palm “I became the Alpha’s servant” I murmured.

“You what?!” Serafin said and I know he is more than angry than shocked “I was actually planning to tell it to you but I know it won’t do us any good” I said and then I heard him chuckle.

“What a funny situation, the king’s mate is the Alpha’s servant?! Hah!” Serafin said in an angry tone. Yeah, of course I am in a very funny and complicated situation right now but the only thing I can do is to follow them. I have people to protect anyway.

Serafin changed his gaze to the building where Yvan entered, someone’s coming and both of us know that it’s Yvan. Serafin flashed a grin and looked at me.

“Sure, I’ll let you in the Hybrid Mansion for the time being. It will be advantageous in our part anyway. Gather any information that you can about the Hybrid’s weakness” He said and vanished into thin air.

As he vanished, Yvan showed himself all dressed up “Cass, are you ok? You look pale” Yvan said.

I shook my head “Nah, I’m ok” I said and avoided his gaze.

I know that my relationship with Serafin is not that intimate, I know that I don’t have any special feelings for him rather I’m afraid of him but suddenly, I felt angry when he told me that its ok if I become the Alpha’s servant.

I know that it’s wrong to think that the king might have feelings for me because I am now starting to understand why he made me her Queen and that is because I may be useful against the Hybrid Empire.

I looked around the place as Yvan and I enter the Alpha’s house.

“This is the Hybrid Mansion Cass and this is where the Hybrid Empire are residing” Yvan said, Hybrid Mansion is a village of big structures and houses so in short, the Hybrids are the aristocrats of Luna Canidae.

Lara once told me that the Hybrid Empire owns the Luna Canidae University, supermarkets, Luna Canidae Mart, clubs and other establishments that is why it’s evident in their houses.

After showing me where the Zetas, Beta, Delta, and the Cardinal are residing, he led me into a bigger mansion in which the Alpha is residing.

“And of course this is the Alpha’s house” Yvan said as we enter the Alpha’s house.

I expected to see at least a lot of servants in his house but I saw no one but our reflection in a mirror.

As I was busy thinking of where the servants could be, I heard Yvan chuckle, Ok what’s funny?

“You’re so easy to read Cass. There are no other servants here aside from you” Yvan said and made my eyes wider.

“What do you mean there’s no other servants?” I asked.

“The Alpha is actually sensitive with people and he never wanted a helper or a servant in his house. That is why I was actually surprised when he proposed that he will spare you only if you become his servant” Yvan said.

“Where is he then?” I asked.

“He’s not around, but he told me to orient you of the things that you should know” Yvan said, I nodded.

“Cass, remember this, never enter the Alpha’s room unless he asked you to enter. Second when the Alpha is eating, you should eat with him but do not eat first when the Alpha haven’t eaten yet, he should eat first before you” Yvan said, I almost showed him a sarcastic smile.

“You should stay and sleep here on weekends and on weekdays. You may go back to your granny. Don’t worry she was already informed about you working for the Alpha” Yvan explained.

“Wait what? Granny was informed? What did she say then? How did she react?” I asked. Yvan smiled.

“Don’t worry your granny knows that the Alpha never hurt his people that’s why she permitted your stay here. Another thing, your granny also knows that the Alpha needs a helper” Yvan explained.

I nodded, seems like everyone wants me to be the Alpha’s servant even if it’s the king or my granny. Even Yvan is excited that I will be serving the Alpha.

“Anyways, this will be your room Cass” Yvan said and led me into a big and wide door in the very edge of the hall way.

“Opposite of this room is the Alpha’s room” Yvan said and pointed at a larger door in the opposite corner of my room and it is almost seventy five meters away from my room.

“What are the things that I need to do then?” I asked Yvan.

“Cook for him, clean the mansion and go to him when he calls for you” Yvan said “That’s all?” I asked.

“Yes that’s all” Yvan responded and looked at his watch.

“You will have to stay here Cass and wait for the Alpha, I need to leave, I still have a meeting with the Lottas” Yvan said.

“Wait what? You will leave me here?! No!” I protested “You have to Cass, your work is starting today and you need to cook for him” Yvan said.

“B-but---“

“Bye Cass, I have to go” He said and left me alone, speechless and hanging.

I looked around the house and it’s too wide that I can’t bear to be left alone, what should I do now then?

I went outside to at least see if there’s a single person I could talk to but I failed because I saw no one and heard no one but crickets and the sound of the wind.

I went back inside and went to his wide kitchen which is as wide as a whole house. And what in the freaking hell should I cook for him?!

I saw different kinds of vegetables, meats and foods. Does he even eat vegetables or is he a pure carnivore?! I don’t know what to cook because first I don’t even know his preference.

“So you’re Cassandra that Yvan has been talking about” Says a smiling girl with gorgeous and dazzling features and she’s walking towards me.

“Uhh, who are you?” I asked, she smiled brightly and ran towards me.

“Hi Cass, I’m Misty” She said and handed me her palm to shake hands with me. Misty? I heard that name before.

I shook hands with her and then I suddenly realized where I heard her name, I heard it from Lara and Misty is the name of the Cardinal.

The famous Cardinal whose fate is so tragic, she is the Beta’s beloved, the Delta’s best friend and the one that the Alpha needs to kill.

“What’s with the face Cass, you suddenly look worried?” Misty said.

“Uhh, sorry I just remembered who you are and heard a lot of rumours about you” I said, Misty smiled not a genuine one but a sad smile.

“Misty, the Cardinal whose fate is tragic?” Misty said as she stares at me seriously. I stared back not because I also want to intimidate her but because her eyes say she’s too lonely.

She immediately smiled “Forget the tragic issue Cass, I personally came here because I learned that you’re also a human and I thought that you could spare me some of your time” Misty said.

“Don’t worry, I’ll leave as soon as the Alpha arrives” Misty added.

I smiled back “It’s a very good thing that the Cardinal is a human. At least I also have someone to talk to” I said and looked at the fridge.

“Do you happen to know if the Alpha eats vegetables? Or is he a carnivore?” I asked and then I suddenly heard Misty’s mocking laugh. “You’re funny Cass, the Alpha only eats one dish and that is steak. I bet you know how to make steaks?” Misty said.

I nodded “So he only eats that for breakfast, lunch and dinner?” I asked, Misty showed me a curious look.

“Wait you’re new in Luna Canidae?” Misty asked, I immediately nodded “Yeah, I thought you knew” I said.

“Yvan didn’t share that though, anyways, the Alpha only eats twice a day and that’s dinner and breakfast both steak for dinner and lunch. You’re lucky that you have me Cass” Misty said flashing a jolly smile.

“You’re right, thanks” I said

As misty is helping me prepare food for the Alpha, we had small chit chats about ourselves. It may be personal but she shared me about her relationship with Eros, the Beta.

Eros, Yvan and Misty we’re actually friends since childhood and then Misty left Luna Canidae for a while and when she came back, she became closer to Eros until they developed feelings with each other.

Since Eros is the Beta, no one protested against the relationship between a human and a hybrid but since destiny is wicked, the Hybrid Empire learned that Misty is the Cardinal and so Eros doesn’t have any choice but to give up the woman she cares the most.

What a tragic story perfect to be published in a book as a novel. I’m thankful that the Cardinal is actually comfortable around me and that she could share me a very sensitive topic.

“Oh my gosh” Misty murmured as we hear footsteps approaching us.

“I have to go Cass, the Alpha’s already here. Bye” Misty said and rushed outside using the backdoor.

“B-bye, thanks” I said.

I rushed to fix the Alpha’s food and placed it in the table. I expected that he will go straight to the dining area but I was wrong.

He was with Yvan and Eros and the three of them rushed straight to the meeting room. They looked serious that they didn’t even notice my presence.

I approached the two guys guarding the mansion who are standing at the staircase.

“Uhm excuse me, I’m the Alpha’s servant. Is there something wrong?” I asked. The guys looked at me curiously.

“I wasn’t informed that the Alpha has a servant” Says the other one.

“She is the Alpha’s servant” Says Misty as she approaches us.

“The Cardinal shouldn’t be in the Alpha’s mansion” Says the other guys.

“I know, I’m just curious, what happened anyway? The leaders seemed so serious, is there something wrong?” Misty asked.

“That’s information that we can’t disclose to the cardinal or to a servant” He said. Misty and I looked at each other.

“Even if you guys know that I’m the Cardinal?” Misty asked seriously.

“This is a sensitive topic that the Cardinal doesn’t have to know” They answered.

I grabbed Misty “I think they’re really serious, we can’t force them to talk to us about the issue anyway” I said.

Misty let out a deep breath. “I think the Rebels are starting again” Misty said as she pulls me away from the guards.

“What do you mean the Rebels are starting again?” I asked, I was waiting for her response but she immediately left without saying anything. Ok wow, am left alone again.

I walked to the dining to fix what I have prepared because obviously the Alpha will not eat. After fixing, I went straight to go to my designated room but since I’m born curious, I thought of eavesdropping at the meeting room.

I was eager to do my plan but I wasn’t able to do so because there are also guards guarding the door of the meeting room. Just what in the hell is wrong that they can’t afford to let us know what’s happening.

I sighed and went back to my room. I was about to lie down when I received a message from Lara.

From Lara: I heard you’re in Hybrid Mansion right now? Is it true?

How did she know that I’m in Hybrid Mansion? I was about to reply to her when my door suddenly opened and it was Yvan.

“Are you done with the meeting?” I asked.

“Yeah, I just came here to check on you. Anyways the Alpha says he’s hungry, I assume you cooked something for him” Yvan said.

I nodded “Yeah, I’ll just get it ready” I said and left as Yvan follows me to the dining.

“Will you eat with us?” I asked, “Nah, I’ll leave immediately I still have somewhere to go with Eros and he’s waiting outside” Yvan said.

“So you just came in to my room to check on me? Should I appreciate that?” I said showing him a teasing smile.

Yvan chuckled as we reach the main entrance of the mansion “Yeah think whatever you want to think, have to go Cass bye” Yvan said and left.

“Bye” I responded and went straight to the dining area where the Alpha is waiting and he’s already eating the food I prepared earlier. I didn’t even heat that.

“I must say you cook horribly” The Alpha said as he gobble up his food.

Because it went cold duh!

I sat down “I’m sorry but is it ok for you to eat it even if it’s cold?” I asked. “I’m hungry, do I have a choice?” The Alpha said.

“Sorry” I murmured and looked at my plate, so can I eat now?

I looked at the Alpha who is busy gobbling up his food, I thought I cooked it horribly but it seems like he’s enjoying it.

“May I eat now?” I asked but he did not respond and still focused on what he’s eating, he’s like Yvan when eating, they really are predators.

I sighed and got my own food, I think I’m eligible to eat now since he ate first. Unlike him, I silently chewed my food.

As we are busy having our food, I felt awkward because none of us are speaking and none of us is opening a conversation. I can’t even say anything since I’m eating with the Alpha.

But I was startled when he suddenly said something, something that I never expected.

“Looks like the King of the Rebellion Empire is closely acquainted to you, I never knew that my servant is friends with the king” The Alpha said showing me his usual intimidating gaze.
