Chapter 8

LARISSA'S POV

It's a palace! This 'house' is a fucking place for princesses to live in! I don't think I've seen such 'house' in my whole life! I still am gawking at the sight in front of me. Huge extravagant pillar, huge majestic front door with ... is that a gold lining and door knob. I'm pretty sure my mouth literally fell to the ground. I looked at the surrounding of this 'house' like Carmen said on the way here from the mall. It's so far from the busy city. It gave the people who live here sense of serenity and fresh air. There's a flower garden, where all kinds of flower were planted. The majestic looking fountain just screamed money! These landscapes are amazing! I wonder what kind of people live here. Are they snobs? Are they homophobic? Are they nice? I was brought back to reality when Christina clapped her hands. I blinked a couple of times at her.

"Oh good, you're back," she cleared her throat. "Welcome to the Hart Mansion!" she said with dramatic hand gesture. Why are we even here? I am so confused. Who are these Hart people? "Can we just ring the doorbell or something?" Carmen said, obviously bored of waiting any longer. "Indeed we can!" Catherine said and walked to the door and rings the bell. As she pressed the button, the most beautiful harmony can be heard inside the house. Moments later a beautiful black hair woman opened the huge door. "Aunt Lily!" Catherine hugged the woman. The woman hugged back and pulled away. "Catherine?!" she looked at us and gasped. "CARMEN?!" Carmen walked to her and hugged her. "Hey. Such long time huh?" the woman nodded vigorously. "Alyana! Get your ass down here and see who decide to visit!"

Minutes later, a very beautiful brown hair woman wearing a flowing white dress came down the stairs. Oh my God, I just saw an angel came to earth. The woman went straight to Carmen. "Oh Carmen! Such a long time! We all miss you," Carmen hugged her tightly. The woman turned her head to look at me. Wow. She looks more beautiful than the black hair woman. High cheek bones, the bluest eyes I have ever seen, perfect shape nose, perfect jaw line, and those luscious lips. She's perfect to be a model! "I think your friend there just had a stroke. She can't close her mouth," she said and chuckled. Catherine came next to me and closed my mouth. "Let me introduce you to these lovely ladies. This is Lily Hart," Catherine introduced me to Lily, the black hair woman. We shake hands.

"And this is Alyana Hart, her wife," I shake hands with the brown hair woman. Wait, did she say wife? Aww, they married! Wow, lucky indeed. "Their family business is fashion. They owned a couple of modeling agency and sometimes works for the Victoria secrets fashion show," Catherine finished. "Also our personal stylist, they know what's in and out," Christina added. I nodded. It must be nice to be that glamorous. "Where's Barbara?" Catherine asked Alyana. "She's upstairs. Just came back from Paris. But she will be right down... There she is," I looked up to see a brunette walking down the stairs. Wow, was this family born with flawless feature. Amazing wavy hair, brown eyes, perfect nose, lips and even her jaw line is amazing. She must be one hell of a boy's magnet. She walked straight to me and looked at me, as if examine my features. She smiled.

"I can change her. Don't worry. There's no need to be fuss about. She's already this beautiful," Carmen just nodded. What the hell is she talking about? "Alright. That's good news," Carmen said. What's happening now? "What's happening?" I asked Carmen. "You will be getting a makeover. Starts from your wardrobe," she simply said. My eyes widen. WHAT?! She wants to change my whole wardrobe? "What?! Since when did I agree to this?" I asked her frantically.

"Since my sisters hire you to be our help," I opened my mouth but no words came out of it. "Relax. Barbara can handle everything you need. Just trust me on this. She's the best! She even organizes a fashion week before," she tried to assured me. How is that even assuring?!I looked around for Catherine and Christina to seek help. They just smiled when I silently mouth 'help'. I sighed in defeat. I turned to meet Carmen eyes. "Fine," she smiled. "Good. Ara, I want her stuff to be designer remember that. I don't care how much it cost, just do your magic," Barbara nodded. "Don't worry too much. I'll prepare everything," Carmen nodded and turned too looked at me. She walked to her sisters and came back to me. "Let's go. I already told my sisters," I nodded. We bid goodbyes to the Hart's and walked out.

She opened the car door for me and closed it when I'm in the car. She enters and starts the engine. "I want you to meet someone," she suddenly said. "Okay," she smiled and drives away. I wonder who this person is...

CARMEN'S POV

I stopped at the very place where everyone will end up in the end of our life, the cemetery. I want her to meet Cassandra, my late older sister. I turned to looked at her, she's uncomfortable. "Relax. I'm not going to kill you or anything," I joked. She gave me a nervous smile. I walked to her side and opened the door for her. I offered my hand and she took it. I led her to Cassandra's grave. I smiled at her. She looked at the grave stone. "Your sister?" I nodded. I knelt and touched the stone.

Cassandra Ophilia Larove

Feb 2, 1989 – October 10, 2013

Beloved daughter of Maya and William

Loving sister of Christina, Catherine and Carmen

"All I Needed Was Another Day"

"Hey Cass, this is Larissa. The new help," I said as if talking to Cassandra. I smiled. Larissa knelt down beside me and waved her soft hand. "Hi Cassandra, I'm Larissa. Nice meeting you," I chuckled. She's really cute now. My heart melts. "She's the best. She never forgets our birthday. Even though she's at the other side of the world, she will always come back home and brought us presents. She's really kind, loving, and has a really big heart," I started telling her about my sister. Larissa smiled. I smiled back. "She also can be very scary. Scarier than Christina but not as scary as Catherine, she's a beast," I chuckled. "Really? Catherine can be that scary? That's impossible, she's an angel," I laughed at that statement. "Oh Larissa, you haven't seen her angry yet. Even Christina afraid of her," I smiled.

She let out a really cute laughed. She looked at the head stone and touched it. "You missed her a lot don't you?" she just read my mind. "I do. So much," I tried to hold my tears back. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Larissa just put her hand on my shoulder. "You know, crying sometime is good. It let us release all the sadness in our heart," she said to me. "Crying will show weakness," I simply said. She chuckled. "No Carmen. Crying is to let the feelings go. Crying is not a weakness. It shows how strong you are," I moved my head to the crook of her neck. I finally let my tears fall. I never cry in front of a stranger before. Why do I feel so relaxed with her? She caressed my back. "Let it all out. It's going to be okay," she coos me. "I missed her. I tried to save her by covering her body with mine when the collision happened," my voice cracked.

I feel my body shaking. I never cried this hard except in front of my sisters. "She died after two days in a coma. This scar on my face, remind me of that day where I lost my sister," I touched my scar above my eyebrow. "This scar reminds me to seek revenge for her death. So I did," I finished. "What do you mean you did?" I looked up to her. "I beat George Daniels, Venus's brother." She gasped. Who wouldn't? "You're the one who beat George till he paralyze?!" she half yelled, surprised even. I slowly nodded. "He's lucky Catherine get to stopped me before I killed him," she was about to talk when I cut her off. "Yes, I got into trouble. I was sent to England for it. But after the big fight I cause, dad decided my sisters can handle me better," I finished.

"Now that explained everything! No wonder Cath and Chris can stopped you from punching Paul to death!" she said. I let out a loud laughed. She looked at me confused. "Larissa, your face when you figure something out is cute," she blushed. I wiped my tears off and looked at my watch. "We gotta go," I said and stood up. I helped her stood up. "I'm going home now Cass. See you again." I said and walked with Larissa to the car. I opened the door for her and closed it. I got inside and start the engine. "Let's send you home," I said and drove away. The drive was not awkward like before. I don't know why but I feel like we just become more than friends. Close friends perhaps? I turned to the familiar road when she gasped.

"What?!" I asked her. I stopped the car in front of her house. I looked at her and her face pale. "Are you okay?" I asked, concerned about her sudden change. Her eyes widen. "Oh no," she said it a low tone. I followed her gaze and there's a white Bentley parked in her driveway.

I feel like I have seen that Bentley before but where? "I have to go," she said and opened the car door. She practically ran to the front door. I was about to drive away when I remembered her duffle bag and backpack still in my car. I picked up her belongings and walked to the front door. I was about to knocked when I heard a man voice yelled at someone. "WHERE'S OUR MONEY BITCH!" I heard Larissa's voice... moaned... in pain? I dropped the bags and tried to open the front door.

"DAMN IT!" I kicked the front door as hard as I could and I saw two men pointed a gun at Larissa and her sisters. Two other man their backs facing me threatening her mother and father with a machete. I glared at the two men who pointing the gun at Larissa. The two men noticed me and quickly dropped the gun. "I ASK AGAIN. WHERE'S OUR FUCKING MONEY OR I'LL SWEAR I'LL KILL YOUR FAMILY!" Larissa's dad flinched. "I ... don't have... th-e.. money!" he managed to say with bantered face. He was about to swing his fist at him when I grabbed his collar and threw him across the room, colliding with the couch. Damn, I can feel my joint will be sore tomorrow. The other man tried to swing his machete when he saw me. "Miss Laro-ve?!" he stuttered and dropped the machete.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS FAMILY?!" I screamed at them. They all flinched. I looked at Larissa, hugging her sisters in the corner. Is she bleeding?! I can feel my blood boiled. "Who the fuck hit that girl?" I said venomously. A blonde guy slowly raised his hand. I walked to him, picking up a lamp and smashed it on his head. "Who's the one who hit this guy?" I asked them calmly. The machete guy pointed at his friend who I threw. I walked to him, grabbed his shirt and dragged him in front of Larissa's dad. "Why?" I spat angrily. "He owes Damien $100, 000," I stepped on his stomach with my heavy combat boots. He moaned in pain. "You do know Damien Christ is my grandfather," they all nodded. Mr. Vincent's eyes widen.

I turned my gaze towards Mrs. Vincent; my anger is at capacity after I saw her mouth is bleeding. "WHO THE FUCK HIT THAT WOMAN?!" I screamed at them. None of them respond. "Harry did," I turned my head to the voice. It's the blonde guy. "And who is Harry?" he pointed to the man I threw before. I stepped harder on his stomach. "You will learn how to respect me!" I spat dangerously. I can feel he's struggling beneath me. "Listen to me and listen carefully!" I said and removed my feet from him. He got up and asked all of the men to kneel before me. "I'll pay whatever the amount this man owes him. But, I'll make sure grandpa know what happen here! Don't even show your face in this neighborhood again. UNDERSTOOD!" they all flinched. "Yes Miss Larove!" they all said in unison.

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!" they quickly got on their feet and ran to the front door. I released a deep sighed. "Sir you shouldn't borrow anything from my grandfather," I said as I took a seat on the couch. "I have to," he said and carries his wife to the couch next to mine. I looked at him and his wife. "I'll pay for the treatment. You don't have to borrow anything from any loan sharks anymore. Just work and provide everything your family needs," his eyes widen. "No miss. That's too much," I shrugged. "I'll pay for it. I'll handle the billing tomorrow." I said and stood up. I walked towards Larissa and her sisters. I kneel and caressed her cheek, and touched her wounded lips. She just looked at me with her confused look. "I'm sorry," I said to her and turned to see her sisters.

"How about this weekend you two come to my house. I'll show you two my game room," their eyes beamed. I stood up and walked towards the front door. "Miss, I really can't accept the help. It's too much. I can pay for my wife's treatment," I turned and looked at him."Its okay sir, just think of it like I'm helping a fellow family member," I said and smiled. Before I step out from the house, I winked at Larissa. I laughed when her mouth formed a perfect 'o'. I walked towards my car and drive home. I think I am falling for a cheerleader.
