Chapter 21 The Temperature of You

Yuri's secretary was speechless. He had been following Yuri for many years and had many privileges in the company. He could do something without telling Yuri, but he didn't dare to annoy Joey.

"If you don't want to send me home, I'll go by myself!" Joey stood up from her wheelchair.

"Miss Lin, wait a minute. I'll arrange the car for you right away." Yuri's secretary was afraid and quickly left the office.

Yuri sent his mother home. His mother's worries were not unreasonable. He knew that she was considering the family's reputation. He had promised his mother that he would not take Joey to the company. He felt that she didn't like the places where there were too many people.

He was driving back to the company when his phone rang.

"Send her home." He then drove in a different direction towards the villa.

While waiting for the green light, he was attracted by a flower shop on the corner. Joey loved a kind of flower very much, but he didn't remember its name.

He promised to make up for her sufferings, so he walked into the flower shop and ordered a cluster of Damascus roses.

...

Joey lay on the bed while staring at the ceiling. It was only the first day for her to be prisoned here. However, she was unable to take it anymore. At the moment, she missed Farad so much and wanted to return to the Green Plum Island, but she had no idea how she could get rid of Yuri.

She frowned and patted her head. Damn memory! There were countless fragments of her memories rushing towards her in this house, but they couldn't piece together to form a complete picture. That made her painful. It seemed that she didn't hate Yuri subconsciously. But she didn't know who he was or what they had experienced.

After a while, she heard the sound of footsteps.

Hiding his emotions, Yuri entered her room with roses in his hands. He had no idea how to coax a woman.

"Joey." He called gently.

She snorted and turned her face away. Still feeling depressed, she didn't want to talk to him.

Yuri was not annoyed. He placed the roses on the bedside table and quickly organized his words in his mind, "This ... was your favorite flower before."

The word "before" offended Joey.

"My favorite flower before?" She asked uncertainly.

"Yes." The shop assistant said that no woman didn't like roses.

"Really?" She was still unsure, touching the petals unconsciously as if she was trying to regain the lost memory.

"What else did I like before?"

"Close your eyes and I'll tell you,"

Joey looked at him with disdain. But she still closed her eyes.

Yuri leaned down and got closer to her face, kissing her on the lips.

Her breathing suddenly became rapid when she realized what had happened.

His large hands placed on her waist, and she felt his body temperature ... It was incomparably hot.

Her lips were warm, driving him to pull her closer. He was so irrational to grab the warmth.

"Joey, what did you do last night?!" The man rushed forward and grabbed her neck, "are you crazy?"

"I'll kill you!" The man gritted his teeth and glared at her. His eyes were fierce and malicious. I've never seen a shameless woman like you!"

Images of a man and a woman fighting against each other appeared in Joey's mind. The woman was her and the man was Yuri.

Joey was shocked and suddenly pushed Yuri away.
