Tricked For Pleasure

These things don't always go as planned. I've always been a big believer of having everything ready the night before, but last night I was too busy talking to Lillian on the phone to get my clothes out for today. We were going over everything that we had settled on for the party that's now tomorrow and you can't just cut that short.

I'll be seventeen tomorrow, and like any other werewolf that turns seventeen I cant wait to find my mate.

That's right I'm a werewolf. My whole family is. Before you ask, no we weren't bit, though you can be bitten to be turned into one. We don't only turn on a full moon, we can do it whenever we want. If you're a born werewolf you turn on your thirteenth birthday. If your bitten you do have to wait till a full moon to turn though.

I live with my parents and my older brother Eli and his mate Addison. My father is the Alpha of our pack, The West River Pack, and my brother is next in line for the Alpha position so he is living here so that he can learn what exactly Alpha's do. Packs don't usually have a unique name, they usually describe the region that their territory is in. It's easier to tell what pack your going to encounter.

Alphas usually have a male first anyways, it's nothing against females, Males are just easier to be trained for the job, at least, that's what my father tells me. I don't mind though; I rather not have that responsibility on me.

I go to an all wolf private school. Which means we wear the typical uniforms. the white button down shirts with stripped ties, and pleated shirts, or khakis for males. We don't have to go to werewolf only schools, we just chose too because my brother had a habit of getting into fights, and high schools a lot less stressful without trying to hide who we are, so when he graduated a few years ago I just stayed where I was.

You see, werewolves can run faster and are much stronger than humans, we also eat more which could possibly be awkward in a normal school cafeteria. We have mates, which are your soulmates. When you turn 17 you can find yours, we also live longer than humans, once we reach about 25 our aging starts to slow down. It's also not unusual for when you meet your mate for the female to become pregnant, it's hard to keep your hands off of them, and with alphas especially. Alphas usually get their mates pregnant the first time, and you don't have to be marked, like other wolves. I guess it's a way for them to have someone to take over the pack if something happens to them.

"Evelyn, you better get going before your late for your last day of school." My mother warned me.

I quickly ended my day dream and grabbed my bag off the chair I was sitting on and headed to the door. I usually was early to school but because of my lack of mentally being present, I was pushing it. I hopped in my Ford Focus that was pure dark blue and headed off to school.

When I pulled up in my usual parking space, which was the first one in the lot closest to the door, I saw that not many people were outside anymore, most of them had probably ended up heading inside before the first bell rung. It wasn't unusual for that to happen, especially when I was cutting it this close to when school was supposed to start. It's kind of important being the alpha's children, but that doesn't get you out of tardiest. I got out of the car and grabbed my bag and headed for the picnic table that I always hangout at with my friends before school.

"Evelyn! You're late! We need to hurry and head to class before the bell, you know what that old bat will say to us if we're late." My best friend Lillian grabbed my arm and rushed me into the building.

Lillian has been my best friend since we were born. She's almost the opposite of me, she has light blonde hair and eyes that match, the only way we're alike is that we both are tanned and the same body type and height.

"Just because you're the Alpha's daughter doesn't mean you get to do whatever you please, especially when it comes to my class!" I recited to her from memory of hearing Mrs. Lewis always say it every chance she got.

"We were talking about your party tomorrow and we decided that you should go shopping with us today." Lillian said.

"Oh really, and how was that conversation going?" I asked with a little smile. Who doesn't like to have attention even, if its your group of friends?

"We just can't believe that the alpha invited all the packs to it! There is no way you can possibly not find your mate." Lillian said all excited.

"Yeah you're so lucky you don't have to go around searching for them." Lillian said with a slight ting of sadness in her voice.

"You don't know that, for all we know she could be mated to a human." Patrick said popping into our conversation out of nowhere.

"Don't say that! For all you know, your mate could be human." Lillian said to Patrick with a playful

smile.

We had met Patrick in seventh grade before we went through puberty and became the beauties that we are today, he knew us when we had brace faces and no ability to use makeup, not that we used much now anyways, but the little that we did use did come in handy.

He was taller than the two of us with short ash blonde hair that was just long enough for him to blow dry and comb back like almost every guy was doing lately, he wasn't bad looking, but he also wasn't my type. Just like he had known us before puberty, we had known him, and even though he was no longer the lanky little guy that he once was, in our eyes he was just our friend, and will always be our friend, we would always keep an eye out for our mate.

Before we could do anything else we the bell rang signaling that we needed to get to class.

The day passed by unbearably slow. When the bell rang for lunch I couldn't help but feel relieve and run out the door. I didn't have any classes for the rest of the day, perks of taking summer classes.

I sat down at the table with everyone and greeted them. Most of the people we sat with was just so that they felt included without little trio, but no matter what they did, we never really felt like we wanted to have more people included into our little group, nothing against anybody, we had just spent so much time together that it just seemed crazy to add new people when they wouldn't know about half the things we had done.

"Hey guys, what have you been up to today?" I asked Patrick, and Lillian.

"Well, classes, classes, and that's right some homework too." Patrick said with a little bit of smartness in his voice.

I ignored his little show of smartness and looked towards Lillian.

"I need you today, after school."

"What do you need me for?"

"I need you to go to the mall with me so I can get a dress for my party. Are you in?"

"A trip to the mall? Why would I wait till after school to do that? Why don't we just go now?"

"Um, cus you have class, maybe that's why?"

"Well maybe none of us really feel the need to go to class." Patrick butted in.

I broke my eyes from away from Lillian to find the rest of the table looking at us.

"Really, you all want to skip school and go to the mall?"

"Um yeah!" They all said to me at once.

There was no point in fighting them, they would have won eventually anyways. So I just said alright and we all packed up our stuff and walked out to the cars. Since Lillian didn't drive herself today she hopped into my car and off we were to the mall. Patrick followed in his truck that made more noise then a motocycle, and I guess that everyone else was following behind him.

We looked through most of the stores but I didn't find one dress that I felt like it was "the one". I finally decided that if I didn't find it at the last store than I was just going to wear my school uniform. We walked into the store and I started looking around. I wasn't finding anything special I was kind of ready to give up.

"Evelyn I found it!" Lillian yelled to me from across the current store that we were in.

I rushed over to her. My lack of hope growing. I really just needed to pick something, my standards for the perfect dress obviously wasn't going to happen today.

"Let me see! Let me see!"

She pulled out this beautiful gold tight dress that had a heart shaped neck line and one sleeve that went over the right shoulder. I couldn't speak, my mouth just wouldn't work.

"Are you going to stand there mute or are you going to go try it on?" Patrick laughed at me.

I grabbed the dress and headed for the dressing room. The dress fit me in all the right places it was loose but tight, I couldn't take my eyes off myself in the mirror. I walked out to go show everyone. Their jaws hit the floor.

"That is so the dress." They all said at the same time.

I smiled the biggest I could.

"Looks like I need to tell everyone to stay away from gold."

"I'll send out the mass text." Lillian winked at me.

I couldn't wait till tomorrow, it looks like this party was really going to be the best yet, I could feel it. We all laughed and started to walk to the entrance of the mall. I heard someone laughing overly loud, like they were laughing loudly to try and get someone's attention.  I looked over to see a few human girls laughing at each other than looking over at Xander and Graham, a couple boys that was in the rest of our group of friends. I almost died laughing from the disgusted looks the boys were giving back to the poor girls who didn't seem to notice the looks.

"Oh, come on be nice to the poor girls, it's not their fault they think your hot, they just don't know what a good looking guy looks like." I said, winking at Brianna to keep her from jumping me for calling her mate ugly.

"Hey!" was the collective answer I got from the two of them.

"Well, she is right, I'm the unlucky one that's stuck with you, I should know." Brianna said to Graham, winking back at me.

Graham growled and grabbed Brianna into his arms, not wanting to let her go.

"You will always be mine. You're mine!" You could tell that his wolf had taken over.

"I know and I wouldn't change it for the world." Brianna said nuzzling into him, showing him that she was playing.

I had to look away from them. The sight of them being all lovey dovey had me majorly jealous. I really hopped that I would find my mate at the party. I honestly don't know how I will keep myself from going insane if I don't find my mate.
