Chapter 3

"She has a really bad timing." I huff.

Trent and I were sitting at lunch with the football team.

"Yeah, but i have a next plan." Trent smirk.

"What are you guys talking about?" One of our friends, Grey, asked.

"Ms. Samuels." I answered.

"Oh, have you seen the new kid that's always with her like he's her son?" Greg asked.

"Yeah. I heard she has to keep an eye on him, I think he's either a trouble maker or someone that attracts trouble." Jess said.

The bell rang and we got up, Trent and I heading to business class, we have all subjects together. When we got to business I was disappointed that Max wasn't in this class.

"Okay so here's plan B."

I nod at Trent telling him to continue.

"You have a detention today after school, your dad is having a meeting with the staff that means Ms. Samuels will be in the meeting and Max can't be in there."

"What if he goes home and I'm going to be in detention room."

"Ms. Samuels is the only one that brings him home, so he can't leave with out her. He's going to be somewhere in school so I'll tell you where when I find out."

We got a pop quiz on the business and, like always, I did well, 98%, Trent got a flat 90%.

My next class was Maths and after that school would be over and I would have detention, I've never been this happy to go detention before.

Maths is my weakest subject, I'm not bad at it, but compared to my A's in other subject and a B in maths. Trent on the other hand was a genius, he helps me with most of maths. This is another reason why I love him.

The bell rang and Trent and I got up.

"You're a lucky guy, Jace. Ms. Smith will be watching Max in the detention room while she's watching you."

That made me smile, this is too easy...

"How do you know?"

"I asked your dad." He shrug with a smirk.

He walked me to my detention room.

"See you tomorrow and I hope everything goes well in there." He pat my back before walking away.

I smile and walked into the room, Ms. Smith was there with Max right beside her.

"Good evening, Mr. Taylor, you're early."

"Yeah, I heard we were having a guest with us." I looked at Max and he blushed.

"Well, since, you have an hour of detention which means an hour of boredom for the three of us. I suppose you two could chat and I watch my Romeo and Juliet movie."

"Fine with me."

I held my hand out for Max to take it, he pushed his glasses up and slowly took my hand. When his hand fell in mine shivers ran up my spine and goosebumps appeared on my skin. His hands were so soft I want to hold them for the rest of the day. I led him over to a chair and we sat down.

Max's p.o.v

Ms. Samuels told me not to talk to Jace, but I have a crush on him. I can't help it. He's like a Greek god. Smooth skin, bright green eyes, brown hair cut low in the back, sharp cheek bones, perfect eye brows, perfect lips, deep dimples and don't forget that smile. Oh my god. That smile. His body was to die for, its obvious he plays some kind of sports.

How can you not have a crush on God's masterpiece?

Ms. Samuels told me that Jace was a trouble maker, he's a player, he gets into a lot of fights and I should stay away from him but the only thing I was interested in is when she said he was gay. I would have had chance with him if I wasn't a nerd. I'm smart as hell.

When he took my hand I felt like the luckiest boy in the world. It took everything in me not to melt at his touch, his hands were soft and warm. Imagine his arms, I would love to be in his arms.

"So Max. Miss me?" Jace had that one breathtaking smile that made me blush and look away.

"You blush a lot." I felt his warm hand on my chin again and goose bumps appear.

He brought my face to look at him and he stared into my eyes.

"You're beautiful." He whispered.

I blushed, but frowned. I pulled my face from his grip and held my head down. No one have ever said that I'm beautiful, its always, freak, nerd or abomination. Why would Jace think I'm beautiful.

"Hey, Max." I look up at him with the same frown.

"Whats wrong? Was it something I said?"

"I-I-" That was all I got out.

"Max..." I looked up at him.

"It's just that you called me beautiful."I said in a shy, low voice.

"Well, you're beautiful."

"I've never been told that before." I said, embarrassed.

"Well, I know you are and you're going to hear if from me a lot, everyday if I have to."

He brush my hair out of my eyes slowly.

Oh my god.

We talked for a while, he told me about himself and his best friend. He's on the football team and he has two dads, his other dad is a doctor.

I told him about myself, but not my personal life. Getting to know Jace, my crush, is huge. I know I can't get too worked up about this because he doesn't like me, he's well known in this school. Everywhere I go I hear his name. Girls fangirling others assuming and some people just wants to be him.

I look at Jace and he was staring into my eyes.

"I'm sorry, but you have the most amazing eyes."

"T-thanks." I blush.

"So, you never answered my question about us being friends." He smirked.

"Oh...um...we can be friends." I smiled.
