Chapter Nineteen

Lana POV:

A few days had passed since the small kiss that Ryder had given me. We haven't kissed since then but we have been a little more cozy than normal.

It was early in the morning when I heard movement coming from Sarah's bedroom. She must be up.

I walked to her room and when I opened the door, I gasped loudly.

"Lana, what the fuck!" Sarah yelled, stark ass naked while straddling Kade.

"I'm sorry!" I yelled covering my eyes before running out of her room.

My eyes were still wide as I walked into the kitchen to start breakfast.

"Hey.. Sorry about that, Lan." Kade told me. "No worries, man. I just didn't expect to walk in on that." I said.

"Don't you know how to knock?" Sarah asked as she put her hair up in a messy bun.

I only shrugged as I placed the bacon on the frying pan.

"Lock the door." I replied.

"I have to get to your father. We have a shipment coming in that needs to be unloaded." Kade said, giving Sarah a kiss. "Bye, baby." He said gently before leaving.

"When did that happen?" I asked Sarah as we ate.

"A couple of weeks back. I didn't want to say anything yet because we just started seeing each other." Sarah replied, embarrassed.

"You really like him, huh?" I asked with a soft smile on my face.

"I'm falling in love with him." She whispered, a little frightened.

"There's nothing wrong with that." I told her.

"He's a biker." Sarah replied.

"You know, technically so are we." I said.

Something came to my mind and I knew what really scared her.

"He's better than that, you know? He would never hit you." I told her.

"I know." She said. Her southern accent deepening. That always happened when she was stressed or angry. Just like mine gets deeper when I'm tired.

"Gonna tell the old man?" I asked. "He wants to but I'm afraid. He said to get it over with because dad will be more upset if we wait." Sarah replied. "Well, he's right."

Sarah then smiled at me. "I saw Ryder kiss you the other day." She said.

I smiled and looked down, embarrassed. "Oh?" I asked.

"You love him." She said slowly. "Right?"

"I've been in love with him since I was 14." I said, quietly.

"Then do something about it. Lana, Kade has made me so happy for the last couple of weeks. Happier than I ever was with Adam in the two years we were together. Be happy, Lan." Sarah said before cleaning her dish and heading to her room to get ready for the day.

Ryder POV:

"Yo, what's up with you?" I asked Kade. He was smiling like a moron every few seconds as we talked, waiting for Samuel and the others to arrive at the warehouse.

"Wait.." I said looking at him.

He was less tense than he had been. His eyes were glowing with joy and as I got closer, I noticed he smelled like a woman.

"You got laid, you dog!"

"Shut up! I don't need Samuel hearing this!" Kade whispered harshly.

"Why? What's the.. You slept with Sarah. You're balls finally, brother?" I asked, teasing him.

"You boys ready?" Samuel asked, walking up to us.

"Ready." I confirmed before we headed into the warehouse.

Lana POV:

Be happy. Those words played in my mind a few times.

Be happy, Lan.

Okay, then.

So how do I tell him? And what will be his reaction?

"I'm getting the hot tub set up! The boys will be here tonight." Sarah called from the back porch.

I guess I will find out tonight.

Later that night, the guys sat with Sarah and I in the hot tub as we listened to music from my blue tooth speaker.

"How'd the job go?" I asked Kade and Ryder. "Easy peasy." Kade replied.

I think Ryder could tell I was a bit nervous. "You good?" He asked. I gave him and smile and small nod.

"Kade, will you help me grab something to eat for us?" Sarah asked, purposefully leaving Ryder and I alone.

"Lana, I know something is up with you. What is it?" He asked.

"Ryder, I need to tell you something." I said. "Okay." Ryder said as he faced me.

I hesitated for a moment, trying to find my voice.

"I love you."
