Lana POV:

"Cole." I whispered.

"Surprise." He said, darkly.

"Why?" I asked. "My mother, and now my brother." Cole said. "What?" I asked. "They're dead because of your family! You fucking bitch!" Cole yelled and threw me to the ground.

"Adam. He was your brother?" I asked. "Half brother. We had two different fathers. Did you really think it was a coincidence that I came to town just days after Ryder?" He asked with a laugh.

"Cole, my dad didn't kill your mother. Please, listen to-" He cut me off with a slap to my face. "He killed her! My brother's body was sent to me, torn to shreds! All because of you!" He yelled and hit me again.

"Cole, listen to me, please." I said as tears began to form in my eyes. "No, you listen to me." He replied before picking me up by the collar of my cut.

"I'm going to fucking kill you. Do you understand? I will make you suffer the way Adam did." He said, venom laced in his voice.

"Cole, Adam's father killed your mother!" I yelled. "Stop lying to me!" He yelled slamming me against the wall.

"Adam's father was an abusive bastard! Your mother and my father were friends! She came to my dad for help and when her husband found out, he thought they were having an affair and beat her to death!" I yelled back in his face.

"You're wrong. He told me everything that happened." Cole said, angrily.

"Then you are dumber than you look." I replied.

That comment earned a knee to my gut.

Cole then pulled out his weapon and pointed it at my head. I closed my eyes, waiting for death and then heard a gun shot.

I opened my eyes and saw that Cole had a gun shot wound to his temple. He was dead.

"Sarah!" I called out as I saw her with a gun held in front of her, shock written on her face.

She looked at me and the broke into a fit of loud sobs. I ran up to her and hugged her as tightly as I could.

"I killed him. I killed him." She said over and over. "It's okay." I whispered to her.

The group ran up the stairs after hearing the gun go off. When everyone looked down at Cole's dead body, all of their eyes widened.

"Him?" Ryder asked and looked at me.

"He and Adam were brothers." I told them.

"We need to have a meeting. You girls should join this time. Danny, mind taking care of this?" Dad asked. "Of course." Danny replied.

"Tell us everything Cole said, Lan." Dad said once he closed the office door.

"Cole told me that he lost his mother and brother because of us. That his body was sent to him torn to shreds. That's when I knew he and Adam were brothers. He said he would kill me for what we did to him. I tried telling him what really happened but he didn't believe me. Not that I expected him to." I told the group.

"Then he pulled a gun on me, and that's when Sarah shot him." I finished.

I looked over to Sarah who was crying softly into Kade's chest.

"Are you okay, honey?" Dad asked her. Sarah only wrapped her arms tighter around Kade.

Dad sighed and turned back to the group. "Meeting adjourned." He said and walked out of the office.
