Sinful Goddess Affair

SINFUL AFFAIR ONE

"FRUITS! Vegetables!" Maricar screamed under the sunlight while pedaling her small tri-bike full of fresh fruits and vegetables which she will sell to the entire barangay of San Juan, Manila.

It's already two o'clock in the afternoon, but it's still sunny. The heat is running through the huge umbrella attached to her bike just enough to cover all her goods. In the long run, the umbrella cover was shredded, that she would just lay on a blanket with large plastic on it to keep herself from getting wet from the rain and the heat of the sun.

She stopped for a moment on the side of the road when her bike chain crashed again. She came down while shaking his head.

"Tss! What's wrong with you again?" she muttered. She quickly took the rags and oil into her bike's basket to fix the chain. "You're not in good timing, huh?" she said when she noticed that the oil she was carrying was empty. She could no longer afford to buy a new oil because she had just invested her money in her goods. The chain is already rusted. It was only a year ago when she last changed it.

"I haven't sold anything yet, but here you go, buddy, making my day so hard." She was annoyed that she had just fastened the chain using a rag to keep her hands from getting dirty.

In annoyance, she drank water from her tumbler and then wiped the sweat on her forehead using her hand towel hanging over her shoulder. After that, she takes a deep breath. It would be better if she calms herself first before she continued to trade.

"Fruits! Vegeta—holy shit!" she screamed in shock when a little boy suddenly crossed the road, the reason for her to stop her bike to avoid the little boy.

But it's too late, she lost control of her bike.

Sometimes she encountered a problem with her bike's brakes because it fails to work at times, so she just uses her foot to stop it from functioning. Luckily, she didn't hit the boy, but she didn't notice the car parked on the side of the road.

She closed her eyes when she collided with the vehicle. She's lucky that she holds on to her bike tightly so she wasn't thrown out of the bike. She didn't feel any pain except for her trembling body. She slowly opened her eyes and shocked to find all her goods had been scattered on the road.

"Oh, no. . ." She covered her mouth with her hands. She quickly got off her bike to pick them up, but she shed in tears at what she saw. "What have I done?"

Her goods can no longer be sold because they have been damaged. Her soul seemed to flee from her body when she saw the terrible damages she had also done with the expensive car. She wasn't even done with her problem at the hospital, but here's another one.

Her mother was confined to the hospital due to heatstroke. That's why she needs to work all day to pay all their hospital bills. Maricar sat down on the road and threw the apple that fell on the road. She knew from that moment, she had lost all her hopes.

"NO WORRIES, dude, I already fixed the contract. I'm on my way to my cousin's modeling agency— what the hell!"

Maricar suddenly stopped crying when she heard that shout from a man wearing office attire.

She got up when she noticed that he was looking at her and the car. He was holding his attache case while talking to someone on the phone. She also saw how his blood flowed up to his head when he saw the damages of the car.

Is he the owner of the car that she crashed into? And with that in mind, his heartbeat rapidly.

"I'll call you again," he said to the other line while holding back his anger and quickly returned his phone to the pocket of his coat after he ended the call.

"Damn, woman! What have you done to my brand new car?!" he muttered while observing the damages of his car.

She stepped backward while looking at the ground. She felt him in front of her. She glanced at his black shoes up to his face. He's now holding his waist and she saw how his one eyebrow raised.

She was startled when she saw his face. A great and honorable man was in front of him. He looks nice and smells good. He's also tall, has a pointed nose, and has a thick lip.

"Are you done checking me out?" he asked.

She bit her lower lip, knowing that he caught her drooling over him. She intertwined her hands at her back, embarrassed with her actions. "S-sorry." There's no reason for her to lie anymore if she was already caught.

"Did you know that I just bought that car, huh?!"

She moved backward again with his sudden outburst, the reason for her to couldn't hold back her tears.

"I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean it. It was an accident. There's a child who just crossed over and—hey! What are you doing?" she suddenly stopped from explaining when she noticed that he picked up again his phone from his coat's pocket and dialed.

"I will sue you!" he answered seriously.

She was alarmed by what he said, that's why she approached him quickly and knelt in front of him without enduring the heat of the road to her knees. "Please, don't call the police! I don't want to be imprisoned! My mom is in the hospital right now. Please! Have mercy on me," she begged.

She looked up when she didn't get an answer from him. He was just staring at her. "I'm begging you. I'll pay for all your car damages. Just don't sue me."

"Why? Do you have enough money to pay all the damages on my car?" he asked with disbelief.

She was consumed by what he said. "I will p-pay you little by little."

"What do you think of me? A mortgage lender?"

She grabbed the hem of his coat. "Please, have mercy on me! I'll do everything! I'll do whatever you want me to do!"

She doesn't care if she looks pitiful in front of him because she couldn't understand herself too.

"Would you please stand up!"

"But—"

"You said you'd do whatever I want you to do, right?"

She swallowed the lump in her throat.

Did he forgive her already?

With that in mind, she immediately stood up despite her trembling knees. She doesn't want him to change his mind.

As she stands up, she met his gaze again. The anger in his eyes had subsided, it was replaced by glittering eyes, but she felt awkward when he looked at her from head to foot.

"Turn around," he said with authority.

"Huh?"

"I said, turn around!"

She jumps slightly in panic and because of fear, she did what he wanted. She turned slowly in front of him. By that time, all she wanted to do is to back-out. She wants to run away from him because this man looks hungry for sex, but she couldn't move. It seems like her feet were glued to the ground. All she could do was to form her hands into a fist. She was no longer comfortable.

"Hmm. . . Not bad," he whispered, but that still reached her ears. And it seems like a broken plaque that repeatedly plays in his ears.

"I-if you have any plans to harm me, that's against me and the law, you better sue me." She forced her voice to be neutral after turning around in front of him as she closed her eyes. Her whole body was shaking. Even if she wants to run away from him, her conscience consumed her. She might only increase her case and debt, so she chose to stay.

"What do you think of me? A pervert?"

"Aren't you like that?"

He puts his hand inside his pocket while closing their distance. "Let me tell you something. . ." She moves backward again.

"First of all, you're not my type. . ."

'But the way you look at me, it feels like you're stripping me,' she said to herself.

"And I'm a married man," he added.

"H-how can I be so sure that you're already married?"

Her eyes landed on his left hand when he quickly pulled it out of his pocket and showed his gold ring. "Is this enough for you to believe me?"

She breathed a sigh of relief because she somehow knew that he wouldn't harm her. That this man in front of her is not a bad person nor a rapist.

"Follow me," he ordered, turning away.

"Wait, what?"

"I don't need to repeat myself to you, woman!"

"But why do you want me to follow you? Where are you taking me?" she asked.

"In my office!"

"Why?"

He turned around and look at her straight in the eyes. "Are you going with me in my office or at the police station? Now, choose!"

"O-okay. . ." Then she followed.

But she suddenly stopped when she read the name of the establishment he entered. "Radoc Law Firm?"

Her eyes widened. "Oh no! H-he's a lawyer?"
