Chapter 31 : My Family Is Alive!

Third Person's POV:

"Is it really needed? Do something else." Adam said to Dr. O'neil.

"She wants her child. It's impossible." Dr. O'neil responded.

"That means her family?" Adam asked again.

"Yeah, but it's not possible either. Her family is dead." Dr. O'neil knitted his brows in a deep frown.

"It's getting difficult for me too now. Every way to her cure seems closed forever. Even I am getting confused on how to approach her. Her family had a potential to change her mental condition." He fretted.

"Are you a hundred percent sure that if she meets with her family, she will be better?" Adam queried.

"I hope so." Dr. O'neil replied.

Adam didn't want Fiona to meet her father and brother again. He knew that if she got better, she would try to get away from him and go to her family.

Sick or healthy, mentally stable or not, Adam now wanted her all to himself. Despite her being mentally unstable, she was scared of her. What would happen if she got well once again? She will hate him and do every possible thing in her hands to get away.

For a moment, Adam thought about stopping her treatment. Sick or what, she would be with him forever. His internal psycho suggested him. Adam was distracted by his own psychotic thoughts.

Dr. O'neil said, "The way she is behaving, she will get physically sick too. She may be needed to admitted into the hospital again and after then asylum."

"What the fuck did you just say! Asylum?!" Adam grabbed his collar and shook him vigorously.

"She is not fucking crazy! If she needs to go there, you will be dead, doctor. Mind it. Do better and make her normal!" Adam barked at him and roughly released him.

Dr. O'neil cowered in fear but uttered somehow, "S-she is severely ill, mentally unstable. She needs affection and care. She needs to see her family. I am a doctor not any God. You made her like this and now closed every way to her recovery. Her child is gone and even her family too. Can you tell me if you were in her place why would you want to live. She needs hope to live. Which is not here. Please understand, killing me won't earn you anything."

Adam groaned in anger.

"If it's really needed then I will bring her family." He spoke.

"You will?! Glad to hear you have changed your mind. No guarantee that she will be better but we have to keep trying." Dr. O'neil spoke.

Fiona woke up after a few hours, she couldn't even move a single muscle. Her head was pounding and body was weak.

"Are you up!" One of the nurse assigned for her came to her.

"Sit carefully." She helped her to sit on the bed. Fiona got out of the bed and went to the bathroom with her help and did her business. Returning to the room, she sat on the bed. The other nurse brought some soup for her and she finished it within a minute.

She took the medicines they gave her and again fell asleep.

Five days later,

Fiona was taking the medicines the doctor prescribed for her and she was calm. She was again acting like a silent robot, didn't say anything or respond to anybody or anyone. She just woke up, ate, released her businesses and slept and repeated this process every day.

Even Adam tried to talk to her but she didn't respond, she shut herself off again.

Fiona was standing in the balcony, holding the railing. But she wasn't looking outside, she was looking down, at her feet. Her nurse took her in the room and made her sit in the bed.

"Fiona, how are you doing today?" Dr. O'neil entered and asked with a kind smile. Fiona didn't say anything, she diverted her eyes another direction.

"Dear, can you hear me? How are you?" Fiona looked at him and nodded but didn't say anything, darted her gaze else where.

"Okay, Fiona. Do you know that two persons are coming to see you? Do you know who they are? I think you are going to love them." The doctor spoke but Fiona didn't even looked at him, she was staring at the IV stand.

"Please go and let them in." The doctor requested one of the nurses.

She walked out of the room and returned with two persons

A seven year old boy entered the room with A man in her mid forties.

"Fiona!"

"Fio!" Both of them exclaimed in unison. Fiona's head snapped towards the direction of the two familiar voices, to see the faces of the persons she loved most in her life, the persons she believed to be killed.

Her breath caught up in her throat, eyes welled up. She blinked her eyes repeatedly, she couldn't believe her eyesight. She thought like every other time, her imagination was messing with her head.

She got out of the bed with her slow shaky steps and walked to the man and the little boy. She stretched her both hands and touched their body, touched their face, stroking each feature again and again to make sure that her eyes are not tricking with her again. For some last days, she frequently saw them, her father, her brother. But when she tried to hold them they would disappear.

So, this time she wasn't going to fall for that again. She was desperately touching them but they didn't disappear like other times.

Thick torrents of tears were running down her cheeks.

"Dad!"

"Jack!" Her voice broke.

"H-how! Y-you are you both alive?!" She croaked.

"T-tell me I-I a-am not hallcinating again." She cried.

"Oh! My poor baby, we both are alive. You are not hallucinating anything." Her father, Brian said. His eyes flooded with water, he too couldn't believe either that he was seeing his daughter. And within previous months, she became so skinny, looked so pale and sickly, almost lifeless.

"Fio, where have you been so many days? We looked for you everywhere? Didn't you even miss me?" Jack spoke.

A loud sob escaped her mouth hearing this, and she hugged them tightly wrapping her both arms. His father couldn't hold back his tears anymore, hugging her back. After so many days he was able to see his daughter.

"Don't cry darling, don't cry." her father tried to calm her, stroking her hairs.

The little boy, Jack, didn't know everything, why both of them were crying or what he should do.

"Please, come inside and sit here." The doctor suggested and exited the room with the nurses giving Fiona and her family some alone time. And that's when Brian noticed they were still standing by the door.

"Nooooo!" Fiona yelled suddenly.

"D-Dad y-you can't stay here. H-he t-told me that h-he k-killed you both. I-if he gets to know you are here, he w-would k-kill y-you b-both dad. Please go away from here." Fiona gulped in fear.

"D-dad you must go now!" She urged her father holding his hands.

"But Fio, I want to stay with you. I miss you so much. I wanted to stay with you longer. please let me stay!" Jack whined with a pout.

Fiona hugged him and sniffled, "Jack, my baby, please don't be stubborn with sis. You have to go or a big bad man will hurt you. I won't be able to protect you."

"Fio, who is that big bad man? Can't you then come with us? Let's go together from here. I won't go leaving you here. What if he comes and hurt you?" Jack queried.

"You are coming with us, right?" His little eyes shone with hope, as he asked again.

"Fio, let's go. I won't leave without you. I won't let him hurt you." Jack spoke tugging on Fiona's Maxi dress and his father's pant. Fiona couldn't understand what to say or how to say, she didn't want to break the hope she saw in his eyes.

"Let's go daddy!" He urged.

"Let's go, sweetie. Let's go from here. All of us." Brian spoke and Fiona looked at him.

She wanted to leave this horrible place too, which was filled with nothing but horrific memories for her. Taking each breath was suffocating for her.

But she was afraid, what would Adam do if he catch her father and brother with her. Would he kill them all?

"B-but Dad-" Fiona stammered, she wiped the sweat beads from her forehead and licked her lips.

"No buts darling. I am taking you out of here, Jack is right. We are not gonna leave without you." Brian declared.

Fiona's brain didn't work properly, her thoughts were in a chaos at the fortuitousness of the event and in fear. She followed her father not being able to say utter anything clearly.

She blinked few times as she felt dizzy from weakness.

"Stop!" A deep voice boomed when they reached up to the living room of that mansion.

"Where do you think you are taking her?" The voice roared.

Fiona turned her head to see it was none other than Adam, the monster. He strode to them, his eyes were red and jaws were clenched.

Fiona's feet started shaking and her face drained all of it's color. She swallowed hard and her eyes glistened with tears.

"I am taking her home." Brian stated in a firm tone. Fiona squeezed his father's hand, her heart was erratic.

"I am gonna kill you before that! SHE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" Adam barked. Fiona flinched at his harsh tone and Jack hid behind his dad and hugged him tighty in fear.

"I want to take my daughter with me." Brian asserted.

"You have no RIGHT! I will kill you if you say that again." Adam snarled.

"You don't have any right to keep her here forcefully. She is sick and she needs us. Let her go." Brian asserted.

"Don't ever dare to say I don't have any right! She is mine. I will never let her go!" Adam screamed.
