The Dark and The Light (Scylla's Trilogy 1)

A long time ago, there are only two forms of magic. The dark and the light.

Then, there are two kingdoms. One possessed the dark magic and the other one possessed the light magic.

They often fight into each other just to know which magic is stronger.

But in between the war, a forbidden romance has built. A girl from the kingdom of dark magic and a boy who came from the kingdom of light magic.

They are both sick on the constant war between the kingdoms, they just want peace. That's why they decided to run away from their own home.

Then the two live peacefully and the woman gave birth to a child, a child that will change the world of mages.

"How can a child will change the world?" The young Felix asked after Zadavik finished the story.

"Can I fight the child?" the young Jer asked and that earns a hit from the young Zinde who's beside her.

"Don't you get it?" The young Constance said, and as she crossed her arms, the three other children looked at her. "That child is powerful, he or she possessed both light and dark magic. The other words, he or she possessed the origin magic." She explained.

"Origin...Magic?" Zinde asked.

"Origin Magic is where our magic came from." Zadavik explained. "That's why it is so powerful." He added.

"Eh?" Jer muttered and tilted his head, still pondering about what Zadavik told them. "You mean she is strong?" He asked.

"Are you dumb?" Felix asked and Jer glared at him.

"What did you just say?" Jer asked in irritation as they butted their heads.

"You are dumb." Felix repeated.

Zinde stood up and separated the two, throwing them on the side in the process.

"You two are so noisy." She said.

"Master." Constance said and Zadavik looked at her. "Is the child became good or bad?" She asked.

"The truth is, I don't know." He answered. "I also don't even know if this story is true or not." He added.

"I will beat him or her one day!" Jer declared as he stood up. Zadavik chuckled and shakes his head.

"Man, this generation is handful." Percival who is sitting nearby commented.

"You can say that." Zadavik said and clapped his hands to gather the attention of the children. "Time for training children!" He said and everyone cheered, then ran towards the door of the guild hall.

And because of that, Baby Nanno woke up and started to cry in Steldarts' arms. Young Julian immediately walked to him and carried the baby.

"How about you, Julian? you're not going with them?" Steldarts asked.

"I'm fine here, besides. Master and I are doing special training." He said and smiled. Steldarts looked at Zadavik who's now talking to Percival.

Then he looked around the guild, compare to the other guilds. Scylla's Legion has only a few members since it was disbanded for a long time.

A small smile appeared on Steldarts lips.

Someday, this guild will be strong like the other guilds. He thought.

Jer and Constance are now bickering while Zinde and Felix are laying down on the grass waiting for Zadavik.

Felix sensed something, and he immediately got up, then he looked around.

"What's the matter?" Zinde asked.

"N-nothing..." He said while still looking around.

He stood up and leave Zinde alone as he tried to find why he felt uncomfortable suddenly.

Then he saw a girl wearing a cloak and hood is covering her head. She is standing and watching them.

"Hey...who are you?" Felix asked, he heard the girl gasped, and she took a step back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.." She said and bow down to him. "I need to go back to Master, I'm sorry again." Then she ran away.

Felix was about to run after the girl when he hears his Master's voice.

"Felix! come here!" Zadavik called and Felix immediately went back to the place where they will train while his mind is still thinking about the girl awhile ago.

He has no idea that he already met the descendant of the child they are talking about a while ago.
