The Possessive Mafia Boss

Chapter 1

Chapter 1

"It's not easy to find a decent job here in Manila, Cashedy. Especially if you're not graduated in college. You're just going to waste your time finding work here." Tita Lucia said to me.

I bitterly smile while arranging my clothes to my new drawer. I sighed.

"I know, Auntie. I'm sorry if I need to go here. I just really need your help. I already don't have anything." I explained.

It hurts so bad. I am only 18 years of age. I was 7 years old when my father died because he was killed by anonymous people who did escaped from the crime they made. I was too innocent. I was just a child.

I cried all day because I miss him so much and I was thankful because my Mother was there. She loves me unconditionally. She took care of me. She worked so hard after that tragedy happened to our life. Until another tragedy happened that almost ended my life.

My mother died because of those evil people. Same as what happened to my Father, she also got shot. And it was too terrible because I saw it with my two eyes! They did it in front of me! I was 13 at that time. I almost killed myself because of depression. There's no left for me. No one.

I took medicines without thinking of what's gonna happen next because I was only thinking of dying. But every time I tried to kill myself, something's going to happen to stop me. It's just that, after a year, I realized, maybe God has a better plan for me.

And now, I am living with my Auntie together with my cousin, Gina. She's in college already and she's 17 years old. I really need to get a job to help them here especially in our daily expenses.

I sighed again. I hope I can make it tomorrow. I need to be strong. I want to be strong. I'll find a job. I promise.

"We're very sorry, Miss, but there's no vacant here anymore." The lady said to me. My eyes turned wide after I heard what she just said.

"But on the tarpaulin outside, it says you still have more vacant left--" I am trying to explain but she cut me off.

"I'm sorry miss but we really don't have vacant right now. Just find another company." She said and I can see that she's almost frowning.

I sighed heavily and get my envelope as I marched in the hallway to go away from this shit company.

It was really obvious that they didn't want me to be accepted here yet they kept on telling lies. I am smart enough to notice that!

"Oh my god, sis! I got hired!" I turned to my head at my back when I heard someone giggling with so much happiness.

I saw a girl holding her envelope and hugging her best friend as she said she was hired.

My lip gawked at the moment. That girl was behind me earlier when I was applying for this job! And yet she got hired and I was not!

I bitterly smile. Maybe, my aunt was right. I only graduated in highschool. Why did I expect to be hired easily, especially in this company?

Should I sell my kidney to get the money? Argh, I am getting crazy! At my age, I should be studying because I am still 18 yet I am here, finding for work because we don't have enough money to survive every day! I need a salary!

I walked again at the sidewalk and felt the burning heat came from the sun. I had no choice but to feel this, anyway. I don't have any umbrella. I raised my handkerchief to at least cover my head because it was too hot. It's really hot here in the Philippines!

I continue to walk and I saw the building. That is the Peterson Company, as for my research, it is the largest company of all time here in the Philippines and has a prestigious franchise in every part of the world.

And for my dream, I would never be hired in this company! The least requirement here is that you need to be graduated in college and for my records, I obviously won't be qualified to be one of their workers.

I heavily sighed again and sat at the road because of too much frustration. I almost wanted to cry right now. This is absurd.

No, no. I won't stop. I need this. I really need to do this. I'm going to rest but I will never going to stop.

I stood up and continue walking. Think of money and justice, Cashedy. Think of that.

After minutes of walking, I reached the entrance of the building. Wow. It looks so huge even more! This is literally jaw-dropping. No doubt that this company is the most famous here in the Philippines.

Okay, but where is the entrance here? It's so huge even the gates. Do I have to knock?

I searched for a hole and when I saw one, I entered it to go inside. I saw two guards and when they saw me, they stood up in their places and went near me.

Their faces were serious and undeniably scary. I got nervous and felt my hands almost trembling.

"What do you need, miss?" The tall guy asked.

"I-i am trying to apply for work..." I said and my voice was vibrating!

"Resume?" He asked. I handed him my envelope. Oh my god. I knew it. I won't gonna pass. I just wasted my time, walking by here!

"You're only graduated in high school and still you're trying to apply here? Are you serious?" He asked, almost laughing.

I bit my lip. "Just let me in, please? I'll accept any work here. Even if I apply for being a janitress! Yes, a janitress! I'll do it. Just please, let me in. This is the only chance I have." I said and I am almost begging.

I am holding him by his hands and looking directly at his eyes. He looked to his co-guard beside him and they nodded together.

"Okay. Go inside. Jake will guide you." The tall guard said. With so much happiness, I almost wanted to hug them. "Thank you!" I exclaimed.

The smaller guy went beside me and lead me to the way on the main entrance of this company. So, his name is Jake.

"Hi, I am Jake. You are?" He asked and handed me his right hand. I smile.

"I am Cashedy. Thank you for guiding me here." I said. He looks kind.

We talked about things more and we became instant friends.

After a minute, we headed to the main entrance so he said his goodbye to me and good luck me also.

This is it. There's no turning back now.
