Chapter 7

The lunch with my boss yesterday was awesome. I was actually pre-occupied while we were eating. My mind was roaming around. I just let him do what he wants and go with the flow.

I didn't see Jake because when I tried to contact him again, Sir Dashnell confiscated my phone. He warned me that if I talk again to Jake, he will fire me.

I pouted and roll myself in my bed. It's 7:00 am in the morning and it's my day off today. Meaning, I don't have my work today. I actually don't want to have a day off but since it's Sunday, I agreed to have this.

I am still thinking about what happened yesterday. Was that true? I didn't daydream, right? It wasn't a dream. It was real and genuine. Me and my boss, had lunch together and he even told me that he was jealous of Jake!

I felt bad for Jake because he is my friend but I won't reject my boss, too.

Okay, let me explain myself. I didn't believe him. First of all, I know he is a womanizer guy, wait, I don't want to be judgemental but that's I think is true! He will make me fall for her or even every girl in the office and when he succeeded, he will leave us.

Second, we only met each other days ago and it's so unnatural if he already had feelings for me. And to make it more believable, he said I wasn't his type! My cheeks heated when I remember myself eating lunch with him in his favorite restaurant yesterday. But it's nothing, okay!

Okay, again. I admit. I have a crush on him. But, it's a crush only. I only adore him because he is kind, perfectly handsome, and what could I ask for? He is the man of my dreams! However, it's only on my dreams and not for a lifetime.

But I know this feeling will go. Maybe I am just excited. I am just curious because I am only eighteen. This is just out of curiosity. This is the only infatuation towards him. I think, my feelings for him doesn't serious at all. Well, to my hope.

So for today, I won't do anything aside from going to church later with Aunt and Gina, then watch movies here in my room with my laptop because I miss watching. This laptop was gifted by my friend before when I was sixteen but unfortunately, I haven't seen her for almost three years now.

And I think I need to look at my bank account because I need to withdraw cash. Before I forgot, Sir Dashnell already paid out my salary until next month! I didn't ask him to do that and I just got shocked when I knew about it yesterday when we're having lunch.

Shit! The thought of us having lunch was really heart-melting! I'm getting crazy, ack!

I sat on my bed and think about the possibilities. What if, he is serious about it? It's not as if he said he likes me, but he said he was jealous so I'd assume...there's something! But, it's only days ago... And I wasn't his type.

I shake my head. No no no! You don't need to think of that, Flaire. You only need to think of working for money. You came here because of money, not for love life! How can you make those people who killed your parents if you're going to think of love life?

Here we go again, I am talking to myself again because of the decisions I'm going to make.

I bit my lips when I felt my lips were about to curve from smiling. I can't help it.

"Hey, sis." My mind suddenly stops from daydreaming when I heard Gina knocking the door of my room.

"Yes!" I responded.

"You won't believe this! Oh my god! I'm really trembling right now! Shocks!" She exclaimed so loud. Okay, what is happening?

Still confused, I stood up and wore my slippers before opening the door for her. Her face is smiling from ear to ear and when she saw me, she shouted again. What's wrong with her today?

"Hey, cous. What are you doing? Is there any problem?" I asked. Instead of answering me, she held my hands and bring me way down. She's really acting weird today.

"Tell me what's up and why are you acting like this!" I contested my hand and she faced me with her lips, still smiling.

"Your boss is here outside! And he brings flowers for you!" She exclaimed.

My lips parted. "Are you even serious?" I asked, startled. How on the earth my boss is here?!

"Duh, he's talking to Mom outside and just waiting for you because I think you two have going to date!" She giggled me with her fingers. "You didn't tell me you already made your boss fell for you! You're so fast, cous." She added.

I remained standing and forget what to do. Is this really happening?! Oh my god! If he is really outside at this early and talking to Aunt, I'm dead! Why is he even here?!

I immediately went upstairs again and find my clothes in my drawer. I need to take a bath because he can't see me wearing this plain white Sando and pajama! I am not even wearing a bra! This is so epic.

"Hey, cous! He's waiting for you!" Gina teased outside.

"Tell him I'm just going to take a bath and if you're joking, you're dead to me!" I said and quickly went to the bathroom and open the shower.

I heard her laughed. "Sir Dashnell, my gorgeous cousin is still taking a bath, just wait for her. You know..." I heard Gina said as if talking to someone.

"Tell her we're going to church after." I almost shouted when I heard my boss replied to her.

She's really not joking! My boss is here in our house and me, I can't do anything about it! Holy crap. What the hell I'm going to do now?
