Chapter Two

5 Years Later...

A lot has occurred during this five year period.

Sarah, Abigail’s mother had her surgery and it was successful.

Few weeks after Sarah recovered, Abigail applied for and was admitted into a community college. She opted for business Administration.

She believed with the degree, she will be able to get a good job that pays well. That way, she will be able to provide for her twins.

At first, when the doctor broke the news to her, that she was expecting twins, She could not believe it. She was furious as to how she would cope with two babies.

But with the help of her mother, She was able to cope. Her mom kept up with her Morning sickness, mood swings, and cravings.

Sometimes, Abigail wished Liam was there for her and the babies. She missed him terribly even though he treated her badly. She also missed the Williams. Most especially Anna, Liam’s younger sister. They were very close when she was working for them.

Abigail started her college program when she was three months pregnant. Her house wasn’t far from school so there was no need for renting an apartment.

During college, She was always on her own. Besides the fact that she was kind of shy, Abigail also felt that no one would want to associate with a pregnant fresher so she decided to keep to herself.

As time went by, Abigail made a friend called Bella. She was glad Bella understood her situation at that time and never judged her. Bella introduced Abigail to her parents and they accepted Abigail as their daughter. Bella’s parents were not that rich but they were comfortable.

Bella assisted Abigail in College. She covered up for her in school when she fell sick and couldn’t make it for lectures.

Bella would take notes for Abigail and sign her name for her on the attendance list and even forge her signature where she was to sign.

Then after class, she would go straight to Abigail’s house, give her the notes, explain to her, and fill her up with all the gist that happened in class. Abigail felt so blessed to have a friend like Bella.

Abigail was able to go through her painful labor with the help of her mom, Bella, and of course Bella’s mother. She gave birth to an adorable set of twins at the General Hospital in their hometown. A boy and a girl.

Lawrence Earl Williams 6 pounds 5 ounces and Lenora Elsie Williams 6 pounds 2 ounces.

Abigail loves the name Earl. Her baby boy is her Warrior. Lawrence was given birth to with some complications which made them stay in the hospital for a few more days. She was afraid she was going to lose him but he proved her wrong.

It has not been easy taking care of the twins but her mom, Bella, and Bella’s mom were always there to help.

Few months after the birth of her twins, Abigail and Bella took a part-time job at a restaurant together. Abigail was saving the money in order to be able to continue her college and also for the twins' expenses. And Bella was also saving up for her Masters.

The two best friends graduated with a first-class degree in Business Administration earlier this year.

A month after graduation, Bella went abroad for her masters.

Abigail on the other hand couldn’t afford a master's degree now. Her babies are her number one priority. She wants to get a job and provides them with a better life.

After searching online for any Vacancy, She finally found a position she could manage which is the secretary to the CEO of Damon Inc.

It’s a well-known cooperation in the United Kingdom. And it comes with a lot of benefits too. Abigail prayed she got the position because being a secretary to Damon who was the CEO will mean a lot.

She could learn a lot from him and she was sure as hell that if she happens to resign over there, she won’t have to struggle for a job again because of the good reference she would get from Damon Inc.

So here she is. Back in the city of London. The place that brought back so many memories. She hopes and prays she never bumps into any of the Williams, most especially Liam.

Abigail couldn’t afford a flight from Buxton town to London so she took a bus instead. She didn’t care if the bus took more time than a flight will take. That’s why she left her home town earlier to meet up with the date of her interview. She wasn’t even sure she will be hired so why wasting her coins for a flight ticket?

When Abigail arrived at the hotel, She was very tired so she decided to take a shower and get ready for her interview the next day.

After sorting her outfit for the interview, she remembered she haven’t called her mom which she did immediately. She reached for her phone in her bag and dialed her mom.

After three rings, her mom answered.

“Hi mom.“She said with a hint of happiness in her voice as she took a seat on the middle size hotel bed.

“Hello, darling! How was your trip? hope you are not too exhausted?

“No mom, I’m fine.

Before she could even ask about her babies, She heard Lawrence voice. He was singing one of his rhyme. She smiled at that. She cannot deny that having her twins was the best thing that has ever happened to her. To her, that night with Liam was never a mistake.

“Mom, how are Lawrence and Lenora?” Abigail asked.

“They are fine dear. They miss you a lot. Lenora is asleep but Lawrence is still awake.” Abigail smiled at that. That is so Lawrence. He never goes to bed on time.

“Lawrence, darling, Come and say hi to mummy,” Sarah said to the little boy.

“Mummy!” Lawrence exclaimed. His eyes were as wide as saucers. He threw away the toy he was holding and ran towards his grandma and collected the phone from her.

“Hello, honey,” Abigail said from the other side.

“Mummy! Guud ewening mummy.” Lawrence said in his adorable baby voice.

Abigail smiled at that. Her almost four-year-old son was still struggling a bit with his words.

“Good evening my love. How are you?” Abigail asked with a smile on her face.

“Fine mummy. Grandma took us to the park today and I made new fwends.

Abigail could not contain her smile. She misses her twins already.

“That’s good dear. hope you enjoyed your self?” She asked even though she was very sure that he would have.

“Yes, mommy I did. I miss you, mommy. Please come back soon, mommy.” Lawrence said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“I will dear. very soon okay.” Abigail assured.

“Okay, mommy. I love you.” Lawrence said.

“I love you more sweetie. Be good to Grandma and give your sister a kiss for me, okay?

“Okay, mommy. Goodnight.” Lawrence said and passed the phone back to his grandma.

Abigail and Sarah talked a bit more and she promised to call her mom the next day after her interview.

After the call, Abigail went straight to bed, hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.

Sarah on the other hand gave her grandson a bath and put him to bed. Of course, that was after he gave his sister the kiss his mom told him to give her.
