Young Arts teacher Bai Lu is sure of one thing: she'll never get married and it's better to grow old alone. That's just fine. A failed love two years ago taught her to live by herself. But after a casual encounter, the carefree pub owner Long Wei enters her life and doesn't leave as expected.
Long Wei has had his fair share of betrayals and deceptions, but he's never met a woman to bring peace to his soul the way Bai Lu does.
However, can a man and a woman from two different worlds really make it work?
"Eventually you will leave, and I won't blame you because that's what people do. However, we can still be friends for now."
It takes slow steps to trust, slow steps to learn how to love.

This is so well-written! I'm only a few chapters in and I'm already in love with the characters. They're sweet without being dramatic. Good work, author! β₯

I wish she'd atleast let her feelings guide her. There's something between them even if it's not being said. If only they could speak up and explore the feeling together.

I just finished the first chapter, and wished there was a section for inline comments. I feel bad for her, especially with everything that happened between her and David. For her to keep comparing the little similarities between Long Wei and him makes me angry. However, I have a firm belief that Long Wei will make her believe in love again! Thanks for a great chapter!
