Chapter 7

"Alicia, I made your favorite dish. No matter how angry you are, you should come out and eat it first. Otherwise, your body won't be able to bear it." Brian's low and pleading voice came from outside the door.

I had a few words with Margaret before hanging up the phone. Thinking about Margaret's words, I adjusted my mood and came out of the room.

When I sat on the table, I realized that there were all my favorite dishes on the table. Brian still remembered what I liked to eat.

I felt touched.

Brian was silent, so I said first, "Well, let's have a good talk."

Brian's eyes lit up when he heard this.

"It's okay not to divorce, but first you have to break up with Janet. Can you do that?" I looked into Brian's eyes and said very seriously.

Brian nodded quickly. "I can. I won't contact her again."

"Also, that child must be aborted."

Brian's expression froze for a moment and did not speak.

When my mother-in-law saw Brian hesitating, she immediately agreed, "Okay. We agree with you."

After my mother-in-law hit Brian, Brian came to his senses and said, "I'll deal with it."

After saying that, he put down the bowl and chopsticks and walked out. I looked at Brian's back and felt a strange feeling.

Brian had been gone for a whole day. When I woke up on Monday morning, there was no sign of him. I couldn't help but worry again. As a result, when I went to work, I was not working well and was lectured by the editor in chief.

"Alicia, what's wrong with you lately? Why are you absent-minded all day?" The editor in chief stood in front of my desk, frowning unhappily.

"I'm sorry. I haven't been in good condition recently, but I'll adjust as soon as possible." I immediately got up and bowed my head to apologize.

"You'd better keep up with the progress. You've taken a few days off and left a lot of projects behind. I'll have dinner with the investor today. You can go with me and continue the project quickly." The editor in chief ordered coldly.

I had to nod and agree.

"Go and pack up. We're leaving soon." After the editor in chief finished speaking, she left in her high heels.

In the past, she always took young and beautiful girls to this sort of dinner. I didn't know why she asked me to go this time.

As I walked along the road, I felt uneasy and whispered in her ear, "What should I do? I'm a little nervous."

"It won't be a big deal. They're not hooligans. All you need to do is to be attractive but not coquettish, okay?" She patted my hand and comforted me a little.

Not long after we arrived in the private room, the people arrived, led by a middle-aged man with a big belly.

As soon as he came in, he kept staring at me. I was a little annoyed and smiled awkwardly, "Editor-in-chief, can we order now? I'll go out and call someone."

I didn't expect to be stopped by the greasy investor, "Ah, how can we let such a beautiful woman do such a thing? Let my assistant do it."

Then he smiled at me with his big yellow teeth. He waved at me. "Come, sit near me."

I quickly refused, "Mr. Smith, I'll just sit here."

I forced a polite smile on Mr. Smith.

"Come on. Be polite. Let's make friends. Besides, stop calling me Mr. Smith. That sounds weird. You can call me brother if you like." Mr. Smith looked dissatisfied.

I looked at the editor-in-chief, who suggested I go. Therefore, I had to sit there.

I sat on pins and needles in the face of Mr. Smith's nasty eyes. As soon as the food and wine were served, Mr. Smith and his men kept pouring me wine.

Under the editor-in-chief's warning eyes, I could only drink the wine one after another.

"Mr. Smith, I really can't drink anymore." I resisted retching and refused, not knowing how many glasses of wine he had handed me.

"There's a saying that greatness lies in the capacity. Since you're so big, I believe that you're a good drinker. Don't lie to me because you know that I'm illiterate." After Mr. Smith finished speaking, he handed the wine directly to my mouth. I subconsciously blocked it, which spilled it on my chest.

Mr. Smith immediately picked up a tissue and pressed it on my chest. He kept taking advantage of me with both hands.

I naturally knew that he was taking the opportunity to touch me at this moment. I was so angry that for a moment I almost wanted to pour the wine in my hand directly on his face, but I held it back and said coldly, "Mr. Smith, don't go too far."

At first, I tried my best to endure his vulgar jokes, but I really couldn't bear to be touched.

"I didn't expect you to be a chaste woman. Then I'll be honest. I'm interested in you. I've even prepared a room upstairs." Mr. Smith slowly wiped the water off his head, making his hair appear less.

"Stay with me for a night, and the sponsorship is yours. You can ask for whatever money you want. Mr. Smith's rich." The attendant on the side added.

The smile on Mr. Smith's face turned ferocious. I instinctively turned my eyes to the editor in chief. The editor was obviously angry at this time, and her face darkened. "Then I'm sorry, Mr. Smith. We don't need this sponsorship either. Business is off while friendship is on. Alicia and I will leave first. I'm sorry."

After that, the editor-in-chief got up and grabbed my hand and hurried out.

As soon as we reached the door, Mr. Smith's men stopped us, and my hand was also pulled. When I turned around, I saw Mr. Smith's greasy face.

"Miss Black, you don't need me as an investor, but I need Miss Foster. Today, she has to be with me. That's not up to you." Mr. Smith said with a sneer, and the fat on his face was shaking. "Keep an eye on Miss Black."

Before I could react, I was already controlled by Mr. Smith's two followers.

I struggled hard but I couldn't break free at all. I was so anxious that tears almost came out. "Let me go, or I'll sue you."

He reached out his fat arm and lifted my chin, smiling nauseatingly, "You are really naive. If I can be sued by a little reporter, can I still have fun today?"

As I struggled in a panic, I tried to find a reason for him to let me go. "Mr. Smith, I already have a husband, so you can just let me go." My voice was trembling.

"That's even better. You can make a comparison. Don't worry, I'll satisfy you." He rubbed one of his hands on my butt for a while, "Baby, your butt is so upturned and your chest is so big. It's lucky to be your man. Today, let me taste you."

After saying that, he signaled two followers to bring me into the room.

The moment I saw his room card, I was almost desperate, and even my struggle became weak.

Who would come to save me? A man named Christopher? No, there was no such a coincidence every time. It was magical enough to meet that stranger twice. I could only accept my fate and close my eyes.

At this moment, I didn't realize why it wasn't my husband who appeared in my mind at this time, but a one-night stand partner who I only met twice. Moreover, we would never see each other again.
