Chapter 13

Enraged by Aaron's words, the young man was about to fight with him after swearing.

Aaron pushed me aside, caught the man in a few seconds, and put his hands behind his back.

The young man cursed and resisted fiercely. Aaron handed me his phone and said, "Call the police."

I quickly called the police and explained the situation. Two tall policemen arrived in ten minutes.

"Henry? Why are you in the hospital?" One of the policemen asked in surprise when he saw the young man.

It seemed that they knew each other.

"Officer, I didn't cause any trouble today. I'm just defending against injustice because of this shameless bitch." Henry tried to shift the blame.

"Really?" The policeman said in a disdainful tone. He glanced at my things scattered on the ground, as well as the completely crippled phone at Henry's feet, and asked Henry, "Did you do all this?"

Henry nodded without any remorse. Instead, he said righteously, "This bitch deserves it!"

The policeman glared at him and turned to Aaron and me, "Please come to the bureau with us to deal with this matter. After all, the hospital is a public place. We will affect others here."

"Okay." I agreed and said to Aaron, "I can go by myself. You should go home early and rest."

I was very grateful to him for what he did for me today. If it weren't for him, I might still be pestered by Henry. As much as I would like to have someone by my side, I was not close enough to ask him to accompany me to the police station, so I didn't want to cause him any more trouble.

I thought Aaron would gladly agree, but he frowned and put his arm around my waist.

"I'll go with you." He said forcefully, "You can't handle it alone."

Finally, he drove me with the police car to the police station.

I knew the police station very well, and the process was very smooth. When we talked about the solution to today's matter, a policeman called us into a separate room.

"I advise you to reconcile." He said very sincerely, "Henry is a punk with a bit of status in this area, and we've put him in jail many times, so another one won't make any difference to him. But it will be very troublesome to be entangled with those punks. Most of the time, what they do is just on the verge of breaking the law, so we can do nothing with them."

I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, and I said I was going to call the police to scare Henry. Therefore, with the police's advice, I naturally wanted to settle the matter.

But Aaron refused.

"We will not accept any reconciliation, and you should punish him," he said with a stern expression.

"Hey..." I tugged at his sleeve and looked at him disapprovingly.

"Don't worry." He smiled, rubbed my head, and said, "I'll take care of the follow-up."

His words dispelled all the uneasiness in my heart.

"Are you sure?" The police didn't have as much confidence in him as I did.

"I'm sure," Aaron replied.

"Okay then." The policeman sighed helplessly. "Just don't say that I didn't remind you then."

According to the rules, Henry would be detained for 10 days, and at the same time, he would have to compensate me for all kinds of losses and medical expenses for a total of ten thousand dollars.

Under the supervision of the police, the ten thousand dollars was sent to the police station by Henry's friend that night. When the man handed the money to me, he had a sinister smile on his face and glared at me as if he were saying, "You just wait and see."

I must be lying if I said I was not afraid of their revenge. But since Aaron had said that he would solve the follow-up, he would not let them cause much trouble for me.

After Henry left, the police told us to be more careful before letting us go.

When I got in the car, I told Aaron my home address, but he drove in the opposite direction.

"Where are you going?" I asked him.

Aaron smiled mischievously, "Don't you remember what we haven't done today?"

What we didn't do... I immediately realized what he meant, but...

"It's too late now, and I'm not in the mood... Can we do it another time?" I observed his expression and carefully consulted with him.

After such a mess, I was physically and mentally exhausted. I just wanted to take a bath and sleep until dawn.

"No." Aaron instantly stopped smiling, and the drooping corners of his lips showed his displeasure.

"Then... Okay." I chose to compromise.

Since he was more or less my "savior", it seemed to be inappropriate for me to refuse him.

Aaron glanced at me with surprise in his eyes, but he didn't say anything.

The car pulled up to the entrance of the WH Hotel, and a waiter came to open the door before it stopped. Aaron handed him the car keys and led me upstairs in the elevator.

The hotel was worthy of a high standard.

I deliberately dawdled in the bathroom for a long time, but when I came out, the room was empty.

"Aaron?" I called in a low voice, but no one responded.

The other pair of slippers were still unopened, and the other bathrobe was hanging in the wardrobe. Apart from my bag, there was nothing else in the room that did not belong to this hotel.

A man like him with a strong sexual desire shouldn't escape, but I have no idea where he would go or what he would do.

Just as I was lost in thought, the doorbell rang.

"Hello, I'm here to deliver the food."

I didn't order, so it could only be Aaron.

I opened the door and asked the waiter to wheel the dining car in.

"When was this meal ordered?" I asked.

The waiter answered, "About an hour ago."

It was when I entered the bathroom.

After the waiter left, I took a careful look at the dishes that Aaron ordered: spicy chicken, boiled fish, spicy shrimp, all of which were my favorites.

Seeing that, I had a feeling that I couldn't explain.

(It's hard for me to read Aaron.)

From noon until now, my stomach had been growling a few times. Looking at these extremely appetizing dishes, I swallowed, and forced myself to turn around and turn on the TV.

(I might as well wait for Aaron.)

After a few advertisements, the sound of the door opening came from outside.
