CHAPTER II

YEAR 5092

In this vast universe, there are truths and lies dispersing around. Truth that are mistook as lies and lies that are accepted to be true.

While thinking about such things, my mother suddenly called me. I stared at my ceiling for a second, after that, I get up from my bed and started to follow her. When I was about to enter the chateau-like house of ours, my father told me to prepare some speech for the next task that will be given to me. I slowly open the door, I saw my fellow Vishans that were standing and giving me a round of applause. As I take my seat, father began to speak.

“We are gathered here today to talk about what is happening on our planet. A kind of smoke suddenly entered our planet, according to the information given to me, it was a toxic and can kill a Vishan but it was not a threat for us for it does not scattered yet. This white gases are coming from the planet Earth, that was the thing that destroys their planet as well as the cause of death of the people,” said he. “So I decided to assign my daughter, Linthe, to implant this so called Horatio System. My companion is the one who made this and its purpose is to fix a damaged things, it can return the way how it is look like in the first place. This system will first explode before it can repair the planet, so my daughter’s task is to save lives, save those people who live in that planet, once we can implant the Horatio System, we can assure the safety of each and every Vishan, as well as our planet. When my daughter have successfully finished this assignment, she can have the throne and rule the planet Avis, this is a task to prove that she is eligible to be crowned as the next ruler and is believe to perform her obligations as a leader.” Father looked at me, indicating that it is now my turn.

“Thank you father for that essential information you have shared upon us, I will do my very best to save the planet Avis and the planet Earth as well. I promise to not fail in this said assignment and will not disappoint you all.” The meeting was done, all I can say is that I am not sure of what will I do.

After that, I immediately ran to my room and lay down on my bed. It was not that easy, it was against my will and I can’t do anything but to obey my parents, I just hope that this one will turn out well. I went out from my room to unwind. I saw the flickering light of stars, the brightness of the moon calms me, it made me think that I was so lucky to be born and witness how beautiful the universe is. I have my own dreams, just like the others, and I never dreamt to be a ruler of this world, I just want to live simply with my man, to have a child, away from expectations and disappointment of my parents and my fellow Vishans. This life was different from what I want but I really need to accept that this is reality, I was born for tiara and not just a simple being who dreamt to be in my place.

I knew that tomorrow, they will sent me quickly in a place where I do not belong, where Vishans were called an alien, where abusive humans live. I will stay in that place for too long, can I make it? While I am looking at darkness of the sky, a meteor caught my eye, this was called a wishing star, how I wish that the power of this meteor was true, but how can I know it if I have not tried it yet? I just want to wish that my life would be like a fairytale, it will turn out a happy ending, perhaps, but I would not want to assume that it is certain.

After pondering, I realized that I am now ready, I am now ready to face the reality and my destiny so I want to make the best of it even though it is not really the thing that I want. I will obey my parents just to make them happy for I know that this one is good for me and for all.

I returned at my room with a smile on my face. I rested my head on my pillow, not noticing that I have slept already.

I woke up because of the noise that I am hearing outside my room, it was mother and father. They are fighting about something, my mother won’t allow me to go and do the task but father insisted, he said that this will serve as my stepping stone for me to sacrifice and be independent for the people of the planet Avis. I am agreeing about what father just said so mother can’t do anything about it, even if she do not want it, she have no other choice because it is for the better. Mother was crying in front of me, she was asking me to stay, she told me how dangerous to travel, she told me that this task must be done by a man and not a girl, but I have already made up my mind, I am going to do this no matter how deadly. I am ready to sacrifice anything just to keep my planet safe.

My transportation was all set, this was called Sumner but the others are calling it a UFO, unidentified flying object. I was amazed by how it works, this was made by the head companion of father who knows a lot about technology. As I observed how it was made, all I can say is that, this was literally magnificent.

I bid a goodbye. Mother, father, and the all of the Vishans was also bidding a goodbye. I closed the Sumner’s door and started to drive it.

I will get going. Until we meet again.
