Aurora's P.O.V.

I gasped out breathing heavily, I could feel my head ringing badly...

“Thank the gods, you're awake”Courtney says breathing a sigh of relief as she wipes my damp forehead...

“Don’t tell me I passed out?”I ask groaning as I feel my head pound loudly.

“After you went all harry potter, you blanked out”Courtney says laughing

Suddenly it all came rushing back in...

“What about Nicolai?I ask concerned.

“Well Since you asked he's a freaking phoneix now, am sure the council will have your hide for doing a transformation without authorization”She says with a stern look on her face

“Turning a human into a freaking phoneix! Am sure they must be thrilled”She says sarcastically

“Damn I had no idea you could do that”She exclaims.

“I guess I don't have to ask if you're okay since you can still tease and crack jokes. As for those nagging old croons, I don't care what they think or what they do. As long as Nicolai is alive it doesn't matter what they say”I murmur as I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

“Are you sure you're okay though? You used a lot of your energy, I had to cast some spells to get you back together”She says as she schools her face in a more serious look.

“Yea am fine, as for the council am sure I can handle them any day anytime”I murmur as I try to slip out of bed. Suddenly the air hummed filled with the aura of that familiar strange and ancient magic.

“Oh God, I hope you're ready. They don't seem to know what personal space means”Courtney says as her fingers trembled as we both await the presence of the Fates..

“You don't know when to stop, do you child?”A croaky voice says...

“Hello to you too”I sigh out as I stare face to face at the three Fate and council of our realm.

“Are you here to scold me? Because if you are, then you probably too late for that. Courtney beat you right to it”I said as I try to maintain my composure.

Three things you need to know about the fates are:

Firstly they call themselves the council of elders and other fancy pancy names too

Secondly they hate me, am someone who shouldn't exist and yet I do and just the thought of me holding power that's higher than theirs scares the hell out of them, because they are like the lawmakers in our kingdom and me having that much power over them means I’m now high up in the food chain.

Thirdly, they hate those who cheat death and that's just what I did with Nic.

“Don't scold the child too much Clotho leave that to lachesis”Atropos murmurs as she appears looking stunning and beautiful as usual which is all just a glamour that I could still see through.

“Why are you here again?”I ask feigning ignorance.

“Don’t play dumb girl. We know what you've been up to”Clotho sneers as she shot daggers with her eyes.

“So what? Is that why you dare barge into your future Queen's bedroom with no regard for me?”I say with authority as I stated at them sternly.

“Ohh she's got sass now, I guess your stay in preston has improved you girl. The last time I saw you, you were scared of everything”Atropos says smiling.

“Well I guess she's got some guts now, to rise her dead boyfriend from ash”Lachesis says smirking.

“You shouldn't have interfered in Nicolai’s fate because of what you've done. You've just made his fate more twisted”Clotho says as she stares at me with a disapproving look evident on her face.

“I get to decide what happens to him and this whole fiasco is way out of your jurisdiction, I brought him back so it's my responsibility to keep him in check”I say sternly as I try not to slouch.

“I wonder why we bother, you'll only bring destruction to your loved ones. It's already been written”They all said cackling before disappearing into thin air. Their absence just made the room grow cold and their words sliced right into my heart like a spear.

“Don't listen to them Rory. They are wrong about you”Courtney says softly as she bites her lips nervously.

“No, they are right. I think it's time to leave preston. Have overstayed my welcome don't you think?”I say laughing as I walked slowly out of my room into the living area.

“Are you for real? You sure you want to leave?”She asks as she stares at me shocked and bewildered.

“Yeah I'm sure. I think it's best I go where no one knows who Aurora rennè Ferrero is?”I say smiling as I try to hold my a tear.

“I mean they are right, what's the use of me staying here! I'll only bring danger to him and it doesn't matter how I feel about him, the best thing to do now is to leave and never come back”I murmur to her as I stated across the lawn of my house reminiscing how we met once again. Just the feel of his dead cold figure in my arms shook me to the core and I definitely don't want a repeat.

“Okay it's fine if you want to leave. I won't try to convince you to stay but what about Nicolai. You've pulled him into your world, how is he going to cope with the new rules and our world?”Courtney asks as she takes my hand with a concerned look on his face.

“We’ll assign a guardian who going to teach him how to control his new abilities. Don't worry he'll fit right in”I say as smiling at her.

“Oh boy, when you put it like that it makes me even more worried”Courtney says ...

“Nah If anyone should be worried then it should be “Alveria”. Because Nicolai is always a bully.

“Okay fine whatever, I'm coming with you. I can't let you go on a trip alone there's no fun in that”She teases laughing.

“Sure you can tag along”I say tactfully..

“So M’lady where are we off to exactly? Killian’s park?”Courtney asks smiling as she pulls me upstairs smirking...

“I don't know?

“Maybe somewhere else, we'll take a stop there but I do want to visit a place where Clotho can't pop up unannounced”I say sighing as I let her pull me right up

Okay so I know you might think am crazy for trying to run off but am not, a part of me is trying to accept the fact that I don't actually hate Nicolai as I thought I would and just the thought of what happened last night seems to have broken a part of me.

So if going on some kind of world tour or vacation will take my mind off things to stop blaming myself for what happened then I would even grab a ticket to hell to escape.
