Chapter 8

CHLORIS POV

“WHAT THE hell? Why don't you look where you are going!” a sharp rebuke of a guy behind me.

I was surprised because I didn't just hit an ordinary guy. He was such a lovely guy. Flame is already handsome for me yet, this one is simply gorgeous!

Long eyelashes, thick dark eyebrows, green eyes, aristocratic pointed nose and beautiful shape of his face. Even his jaw and chin were perfectly sculptured.

He wears simple trousers and a simple vest with no undershirt but does not impede its simplicity to overlook the destructive handsomeness he possessed.

He was like a Greek god who came into life!

One of a kind!

But I want to be taken aback by the scenes that unfold before him.

He opened his mouth and held the whole apple in his mouth. He just twisted the fruit right into his mouth, and it was all gone. The middle part of the apple with the seeds was left and was unwittingly discarded. I was disgusted by the scene I've seen. Can't he act a little sophisticated?

I was even surprised that he perfectly shoots it in the trash bin quite a bit away from us, while not looking at it.

He might be a good-looking guy but a glutton kind. Err!

Again he bites an apple I wondered where it came from when he had only one apple in his hand. When he finished his apple, my eyes grew wide upon seeing a pile-up of grapes in his other hand that just appeared right before my very eyes

“Hey! I haven't weighed that yet!” a man from somewhere yelled at him.

My eyes roamed to find the man who spoke up. And he was there, beside the cart of various kinds of fruits, not far from us.

“Just make an estimated calculation, Mang Inggo! the unsophisticated yet handsome guy shouts back.

The fruit vendor scratched the back of his head. “You, rascal, I'll go bankrupt with what you were doing.

I was in dazzle! Does it mean every fruit he ate came from the cart of the fruit vendor? But how come it can fly through him?

“You want?” he offered me the grapes in his other hand.

I don't know if I should decline or accepts his offer. I was still in shock!

But I felt hungry, though. I haven't had dinner. My intestines were not accustomed to having no food.

“Is there nothing more satisfying?

I did not know how I was able to say those words despite my surprised of those I saw.

The handsome guy suddenly knotted his forehead. There is. But, you should pay me gold coins in return. After all, you are lazy to act for yourself so then pay me back.

“Huh? But I don't have any.” I looked for the pocket of my skirt. I've got only a pen inside. “I only have this in my pocket.” I handed him my pen.

“And what I am supposed to do with this?

“Then, where else did you use a pen? I sarcastically answered him.

He clacked his teeth together. “I don't need that. I had memorized everything I needed to write down. Hah! He flicked in the air. “Oh! I knew it! You forgot the chant that's why you can't make some magic, right?

He laughed vexingly. What he said was so confusing, but I decided to join his laughter. I don't get the joke, but sure, let's laugh together.

He gestured his hand, and in a second, he had a plate of whole roasted chicken. He handed me the plate. My eyes dilated in surprise. I blinked my eyes multiple times. And God! I think I wanted to pass out right at this moment. What am I seeing?

“H-How did you do that? I really couldn't believe myself.

The guy knotted his forehead once again as if he was weirded out upon my reactions. But decided to indulge himself to his grapes instead. He tossed the grapes, bit by bit, in the air and catches it with his mouth.

“And all of you? How did you do those outrageous things?” I looked around. I'm still puzzled and confused.

“Are you kidding me? All of us here knew how to make things easy.

“Yeah, right. But I never saw you cooking

“Hey, you brute! You didn't pay for your meal yesterday!” The voluptuous woman from a store not so far from us was about to attack this careless guy.

You haven't paid my talent fee, also, oldie. The guy answered jokingly.

Nah! Alright! I'll charge everything you eat, yesterday and today.

“Wait! I haven't eaten anything today.

“What?! And what do you call that food your girlfriend had in her hands?” The woman pointed at me.

For a while, the guy went dumbfounded while starring at me. And I felt uneasy by his gaze. If only he didn't laugh exasperatingly. Really, oldie? He laughed even more. I felt insulted the way he looks at me from head to feet.

I was about to throw insults over him when the woman cut us out.

“Nah! I'll charge it all in your tab since you were the one who gets it for her.” The old woman turned her back on us.

“W-What is happening here? Why does everything you needed just fly over here? Everything was really odd. It's so confusing.

“Wait. Do you lose your mind or something? We only have 24 hours, after the full moon. When that time expired, we will be back to our normal living. We are not allowed to use magic again.

“Huh?” I don't understand what he is talking about. There's only one thing that lingers in my ears. Magic. Everyone was using magic? Is that really make sense?

And what else should I expect? I couldn't accept that what I see around was just a regular thing. There's only one explanation with everything, magic.

The guy gestured his one hand in front of me while I am still confused of what magic is he talking about.
