Beep!Beep! Beep! My alarm clock screeched "ugh, how is it morning already?" I grumbled covering my ears with my pillow

Beep! Beep! Beep!

With my eyes still close I reached over my nightstand and turned off my alarm clock

Sighing I got comfortable in bed again

I wasn't a morning and hell would have to freeze over before that change

Which was why despite the fact my alarm clock going off and knowing full well that It was time to wake up and walk the dogs and start getting ready for work after I was still laying in bed

I couldn't help it, I didn't have the energy to spare and my body didn't seem to want to get out of my comfy bed. Besides five o'clock in the morning is too early

Right? I mean what sane person wakes up at five o clock?

I was so close to drifting back to sleep when

Woof! Woof! My dogs barked barging into my room

One of them jumped up on my bed and the other one followed

Those little monsters!

" Shoo you two, It's too early for this,go bother someone else" I whined

Woof! Woof! Was the only response I got back

With their tails wagging they started licking my face slobbering me with doggy drool sending me into a fit of giggles

"Okay okay I'm up, I guess it's time to feed you two," I yawned, removing the blanket from me and getting out of bed. Slipping my foot into my slippers I walked to the living room Cosmo and Aphrodite followed behind "Let's get you guys something to eat" I whispered, quietly turning on the dining room lights. Woof Woof! They barked with excitement

"Sshh Mom, Dennie, and Claire are still sleeping, let them sleep," I whispered petting them

I grabbed their dog food from the pantry and filled up their doggie bowl

Next, I put water in their drinking bowl Once they were all set I went to my bathroom to prepare for our morning jog. I quickly did my skincare routine, then took the head wrap I had tied my hair in the night before and put my hair in a cute messy bun, and of course, I brushed my teeth, gotta keep those pearly whites clean after all.

I picked out a nude jogger with a matching crop tank top and a white sneaker. Grabbing my keys, bags, and the dogs we were off.

It was still dark outside and most people were still asleep in their homes

Taking a deep breath I couldn't help but smile

The fresh air

the gentle breeze rustling the leaf on the trees

The quiet streets

The sweet sounds of birds chirping

All reminders of why I love jogging so early in the morning

Cosmo and Aphrodite just made it a thousand times more fun

"Come on guys," I said tugging gently on their leashes letting them know to pick up the pace

A cool breeze touched my face as I sped up

Woke me up from the sleepy daze I was in

It was great

I felt great

My morning was already off to a great start. All I needed now was two cups of coffee and it would be perfect.

After about fifteen minutes I slowed down so Aphrodite and Cosmo could do their doggy business and to catch my breath before I could cause myself to have an asthma attack

They must have smelled food because they started speeding off dragging me to wherever their nose was directing them

If that wasn't bad the path Cosmo and Aphrodite were dragging me to had a man on it

He had a hat on and was wearing sunglasses

he was walking towards us talking on his phone unaware of the approaching danger

"Stop you two !" I yelled

That only caused them to speed up

" What got into you two? Aphrodite, Cosmo stop!" I yelled

"Stop!" I screamed

At this rate, we're gonna...

Thaddeus

For a moment I was stunned looking at the woman before me, she was beautiful ,No! beautiful wasn't the right word to describe her ,she was gorgeous.Her eyes soft and were a pretty chocolate brown with long luscious eyelashes, she had the sweetest baby face, and  glossy brown skin . Her body was definitely tempting but besides that, there was nothing about this woman that was particularly special yet she piqued my interest,  And I was intrigued indeed.  We stared at each other for a moment that seemed to last forever.

" I'm so sorry, " she said rushing to pick up my hat, glasses, and phone breaking whatever trance we were in ." That's alright, It's my fault for not looking where I was going and being too busy on my phone," I said picking up her purse and handing it to her "No, No it's my fault I should've gotten these two under control sooner," She said pointing to the two dogs "It's okay really, I have a dog myself and he's ... well let's just say I understand your predicament, besides how can I fault these two beauties? What's their names?"I asked looking at the two dogs,"The one on the right is Aphrodite and the one on the left is Cosmo "She answered ,"Hi you two, nice to meet you," I said bending down to scratch behind their ears Woof!Woof! They barked wagging their tails.

" I can see they taking a liking to you," She said smiling and it had to be the prettiest thing I laid my eyes on. " I've taken a liking to them too, they are so well behaved compared to my dog," I said getting up, returning a smile of my own back to her."I'm sure that's not true, Aphrodite and Cosmo can be quite the handful," She said giggling a little to herself ,She couldn't be more wrong but something tells me I wouldn't be able to change her mind on the matter. " By the way I'm Evelynne," She said handing me back my hat, glasses, and phone." Nice to meet you Evelynne I'm Thad, and thanks for returning, my hat ,glasses,and phone I don't know what I would do if I lost them," I said taking the hat , glasses , and my phone back.

Our hands touched and upon impact, I could feel fireworks go off ,did it feel the same for her? "Oh no worries, I was the reason why your hat, glasses, and phone fell in the first place so it was only right to return the favor," she said still smiling .Plop! A water droplet fell on my forehead Dammit of all the time for it to rain. she mouthed the word oh ,her eyes opened wide with surprise. Another droplet fell on my face and then another until it was full-on drizzling ."Um I guess, we better go before this rain gets heavy and before it makes my hair all frizzy," She said looking up at the sky,I had to stop myself from laughing at the last part. " Do you need help with those two?"I asked ,Ugh! was that the best you could come up with Thaddeus? It was such a dumb question to ask she was clearly going to say no, why would she want a stranger who she just met to help her with her dogs and from the looks of things, it seemed like she had things under control despite what happened earlier. But I was desperate ,desperate to stretch out this encounter however long I could who knows if I would ever get a chance to meet this beauty again.

"Are you offering?" She asked seductively smirking a little   

" Maybe," I answered shrugging,  at my response she bursted out laughing ,I made a face.                                                                                               " It's kind of you to offer, but I'll be fine, I'm sure I won't be crashing into any more people besides I don't live far from here," she said pointing to a house a couple of blocks down the street we were on. " Okay then, I guess I'll see you around" I responded attempting poorly at hiding my dissapointment . "Maybe, okay Cosmo ,Aphrodite let's go home," She said gently tugging the dog leashes ,At the sound of her voice, the two dogs went back to her and as quickly as she crashed into me she was gone.

I let out a sigh

This wasn't like me I was usually cool, calm, collected, and definitely good with the ladies, but she was different                                                             She caught me off guard, literally! and now I'm hooked. What was it about her that Drew me to her? Was she some seductress luring her prey into her trap?And was I her prey? "Hello, Thaddeus are you still there ?" My Brother asked his voice coming from the phone. 

I put my phone to my ears, " Yeah I'm still here, forgive me I got distracted by something," I answered " was someone just with you? Who were you just talking to?" He asked, concern sounding in his voice " No one," I lied "Okay if you say so I won't pry further, but like I was saying before you need to come back home the whole palace is in an uproar by your sudden disappearance,"Castiel implored. "Castiel you can stop trying to convince me no matter what you say it won't make me come back, you know exactly  why I-" I explained "I know full well why you left brother so you can stop the whole woe is me act, despite the good reason behind you leaving it still doesn't excuse this childish behavior, And since I'm your elder brother it's my job to talk some sense into you,"Castiel scolded cutting me off " You can call my behavior childish brother but you wouldn't think me so immature if you were in my position,"I stated "It doesn't matter what I would think or do, you're a prince, running away from your own country and family is foolish and undignified" Castiel scolded again "So now you're lecturing me?"I asked baffled "Yes, it seems like I have to brother because if I leave you to your own accord you'll embarrass this family further,"He answered with no remorse " Wow I must already be quite the disappointment and things must be dire if you're sounding like that brother," I teased half-heartedly "I'm not even going to waste my time explaining to you the circumstance which you just put us in and lecturing you on the consequences of a prince going to a foreign country unaccompanied by his security and personal royal guard, especially one whose the second Irwin to the throne who's betrothed to the king of Avalon daughter, which is why I sent Escanor after you to keep you safe until you come to your senses and come back home"Castiel commanded 

" You did what?!" I asked unabled to hide my shock ,It took me a moment to gather my composure.

" Yes Thaddeus, I sent Escanor after you, your royalty after all you can't go unprotected, he's on his way to pick you up, just get in the car and don't make things difficult for him, " he said ,there was a little pause before he continued

"he'll take you to a small mansion that I arranged for you to stay in while you're in the U.S, Also you should try to limit going out as much as possible before your spotted and words get out to the Vernieseian people, we'll be in hotter waters than we're already in if that happens, And I'll advise you brother to quickly resolve and conclude whatever self-discovery journey your on," He said and hanged up.                                    

That was Castiel for you, always the responsible older brother and model prince.I rubbed my temple Just when I thought I had a little freedom... As if on cue a black Suv pulled up near the sidewalk," get in your highness," Escanor said putting the car window down I was about to decline but Castiel's warning echoed in my head so I complied and got in the car instead.
