Chapter 3: A love's worth

----

Jenessa knocked on the door outside the comfort room to where Halzee is. She never realized that her best friend followed her all throughout the comfort room.

" Are you alright? I saw you walk out from the dance floor a while ago." He could hear the concern from her best friend's voice.

Halzee covered her face with both her hands as she sobbed. She realized she had never moved on ever since. Never in the first place. She hated the fact that she's ready to do outrageous things. She couldn't even believe to herself that she's able to do things in order to forget him.

The guy she just flirted on the dance floor was just too desperate as her. Maybe that's why they clicked but realizing that she's still fresh from heartbreak brought her back to her senses. It made her walked out from that stranger she never even plan to sleep with in the first place.

" Answer me. I noticed that you're not being yourself since a while ago. Is there anything I could do for you?" Her best friend added. It's as if she's not planning to stop from what she's doing right now.

" Cut the drama okay? I am just having a stomachache that's all." Pretended that she chuckled a bit for her best friend not to worry about her at all. She heard her sigh.

" You're sure about that alright?"

"Yeah. You better go back to our table. I'll just fix myself and then I'll go out from here."

"You better hurry up. We'll go home after this."

She heard her best friend's stilettos ticking on the floor going outside the toilet. She took a deep breath and fixed her skimpy clothes. she stood up and tried gathering her strength. She could feel her knees trembling by the memories she just recalled for herself.

There is no way for her to back out this time. She knew that it was her moment of revenge for those people who hurt her from the past. She tried to ask for their mercy but she was never heard. From her last breath she begged. From what she remembered, she begged as if it was her last but she was unheard. Nobody ever listened to her sentiments. The sad part was, even her parents-in-law never listened to her. They preferred listening to the girl they've just met.

It was the bitch who stole her boyfriend away from her. The worst thing is, she even called her her best friend for nothing. After all they've been through she never thought that it will be her best friend who will betray her. Among all the people, it was her. She thought of trusting her with all her heart because of what she was showing her. She was always good to her that she mistook it for something pure.

She went out from the toilet more composed and ready for revenge. This time she is taking it one step at a time. With Jenessa's help, she knew everything would be possible.

" Woah, stomach ache eh?"

"Yep, stomachache mixed with revenge."

"That kind of revenge is something different, girl. You even compared it to your stomach ache."

"In a world full of fake statements, make an original one. Even if it's not making sense at all."

" I agree to that but shall we go home now?"

Halzee sighed as she nodded. She wanted revenge but then, she could feel that she's a bit exhausted too. She needed a break from everything that happened just for today. Jenessa drove her car to her house. It was a mini-condominium she bought for herself. Jenessa's space is definitely not recommended for claustrophobic people. It was way too small and narrow that even two people could have a hard time living here.

However, it is the only place that they considered safe for the two of them after the scandal that they've caused.

" Girl, I can't believe how you just ruined that wedding. That was phenomenal!"

" Well, that could be better." Halzee answered with a grin.

" Nope. You did beyond what I expected from you. I thought you would just witness the whole thing without doing anything." She cracked up laughing her ass off.

"Am I a great villain now?" Halzee asked as she raised her brows, boasting what disaster she brought to the 'almost' newly-weds'.

"Girl, you even surpassed Maleficent!" Jenessa clapped her hands as she smiled.

"I will treat that as a compliment, thank you." She answered her best friend as she undressed, turning her back to her. She changed into a loose pajamas and a spaghetti top, exposing her curves.

Jenessa grinned at her.

"Why?"

"Don't mind me. I am just happy that even the way you dress was different from the way it used to be."

"Well, it was all thanks to you. I've learned a lot from those advices coming from you."

"Which one, specifically?"

"I could never forget the moment when you told me to love myself before I give my love to other people."

"That's right." She nodded as she raised her eyebrows up and down.

"See? It produced great results. You can even appreciate yourself wearing that kind of clothes."

"I never thought I would look good wearing those. Thank you for the push."

"Anything for you, Hal."

She looked at Jenessa and changed her clothes too. They both lie down to the bed, close to each other.

"What now?"

Jenessa asked her as she focused her eyes on the ceiling. She rested her head on her arms.

"We will do what we originally planned to do from the very start." Halzee responded, looking at her.

"I am just thinking of letting it pass. Anyway, you already created a scandal. If you continue bugging them, you could get yourself imprisoned."

She snorted out as she heard those words coming from her. Well, they could never be serious about that. They were fully aware of what she's capable of doing this time.

"Were you saying you'll be backing out, Jen?"

"Nope. I am just concerned about you, you know."

"Don't be. From what happened in the church? I wasn't even starting my plan yet."
