Something is completely wrong in this house.

I got dozed off that I didn't realise I hit someone.

I widen my eyes on seeing that person

My dad.

"S-sorry dad . I didn't see you coming " I say stuttering.

"That's okay Emma. Even I was not looking where I was walking. It is not your fault honey " he says smiling and walking.

Honey ! He called me Honey. That sweet liquid that Honey bees manufacture he called me that.

Am I dreaming ?

I pinch my arm.

I stand there frozen.

Did I drink too much yesterday that my hangover is not over yet.

"Emma good morning. Come breakfast is served " Annie the maid says.

My mouth is somehow not working.

I get another heart attack when I reach the dining table.

Both my mom and dad are sitting there.

Today was literally weird. Thank god I was all okay.

I am for sure that they hit there head somewhere.

And I narrate today's incident.

Kyla. Did they hit somewhere

I chuckle.

Me. I had the same thought. But no. Both were so happy to talk to me. And its like they said there's a surprise for me tomorrow.

Kyla. Wow.

Me. Yeah. Hey mom's calling me bye

Kyla.oooo now you won't talk to your friend but to your mom huh. I am hurt a lot

Me. Shut up. Jealousy lady

We both laugh and end the call.

Yesterday was really a weird day. Yeah and when I met Andy yesterday I said about this and he had my same reaction.

God knows what happened to them.

I got noticed by mom yesterday. So I thought of dressing up like usually I never show this much interest. Because who's gonna see me anyway. But today is different. And they are gonna give me a surprise.

Iwalk downstairs and see mom and dad both on the couch .

when I reach fully down they see me and smile and points to the opposite couch indicating me to sit.

"So Honey we really want to tell you something " Dad starts. I nod smiling.

"So Alec Nichols is ready to merge with our company . but they have a condition " he says fiddling with his fingers and then he looks at mom.

And mom takes a long breath.

"His condition is that you should marry his son " I didn't need to hear anymore . I stood from there and left. Not to my room but to outside.

I could hear them calling my name.

I just fell on their trap . when they started caring for me when dad called me honey and all I thought they really cared. But they had another target.

I walk out just by glaring at Andy in a way that he realised not to argue. And I left in a cab.
