Chapter 6

Shut Up

I walked slowly to the center of the training room, carrying a bow and arrows on my back. I heard the arrogant laughter of Zeus's group. Tylon, on the other hand, walked over to me and winked.

"Good luck!" I just looked at him, avoiding eye contact, when Sir and two others for the activity approached us. The man stared at me and smiled. He was the one making advances towards me.

"Ms. Vion..." I blinked before looking at Sir. I was taken aback when he came closer and adjusted the straps of the arrows on my back. It looked like he was hugging me. "Fix this or you'll have trouble with your arrows."

I nodded uncomfortably. "Thank you, Sir."

Sir returned to his position, and I adjusted my grip on the bow.

"Oh! Looks like someone's angry," Tylon laughed, making me turn to see what he found amusing. I saw Zeus with dark eyes, his jaw moving, and his gaze fixed on me. I smirked at him.

You jerk, you've been bothering me since earlier! Right now, you're the target I want, along with your windy friend.

I aimed my bow at Tylon, and he widened his eyes in surprise. I smirked at him.

"Boom, bullseye!"

"Serves you right, peasant!"

"Speechless!"

"What now!"

"You're in trouble, Tylon!"

"Prepare to meet your doom!"

When the five minutes were up, I released two arrows at a time from my bow. Fast and accurate hits for each one. Still not satisfied, I took out three arrows and released them simultaneously.

I closed one eye before examining the targets. I looked at the board, and in the last one minute, I stepped back with the bow raised. I moved my hand, following the targets' motions. When the timing was right, I released the arrows, hitting the targets before the whistle signaled the end of the activity.

I panted, biting my lips, and wiped the sweat from my neck and the strands of hair that stuck to it. When I looked at Zeus, I saw the fierce movement of his Adam's apple as he stared at my neck. I furrowed my brow, meeting his gaze. I glared at him in irritation and noticed a slight redness in his ears before he looked away, exhaling heavily.

"Zackery, 49," Sir announced. Not bad. They all got a line of 4, except for Zeus and Luwen, who got 52 and 59, respectively.

"Vion, 57." My eyes widened, and I swallowed before giving a small smile. If Tylon hadn't teased me, I might have surpassed Zeus's score. Tsk.

The others applauded, and we stood up. "Our first activity ends here. Section A, we'll have a quiz next meeting."

After that, we weren't swapped again because our last teacher knew our activity. It was also a waste of clothes since the day was ending.

I sat down and fixed my hair. I was surprised when something hit my face—a jacket. I irritably looked at Zeus, who was standing beside me with his arms crossed.

I pulled the jacket from my thigh and angrily threw it back at him, but he threw it back with a stern look. My blood boiled, and I brushed my hair before standing up. We already caught the attention of our classmates.

"What's your problem?" I said in irritation and placed his grey jacket on the table. He followed it with his gaze before returning his attention to me.

"Damn it!" he cursed and pushed my shoulder down, making me sit back on the chair. I was about to scold him when I was surprised by him putting his jacket on my exposed thighs.

"Will you just shut up, sit there with my jacket, and stop showing your thigh?"

He quickly turned away and returned angrily to his friends. Minoa sat next to me, raising an eyebrow.

"The jerk is..." she shook her head and gave me a meaningful smile. Another teacher entered, and the discussion resumed before recitation.

"William..." she called their surname. Minoa laughed beside me.

"Ma'am."

"No, not you," he nodded his head. "Loue, your twin."

Minoa blinked and scratched her head. "He's not here yet. He's still with our father on the mortal world."

"I see..."

Minoa has a twin brother named Loue. While she inherited a blend of her parents' features, her twin brother closely resembles their father, Noe. Loue's personality is somewhat opposite to Minoa's – kind, yet mysterious.

"Vion?" I stood up, and my jacket slipped off my thigh. I slightly bent down to pick it up.

I heard faint mutters from Zeus behind me, along with laughter. When I looked at him, his eyes were almost piercing as he stared at me.

I rolled my eyes at him and faced forward. "Any problem?"

"No, ma'am." I smiled.

"If you say so. Anyway, can you answer this problem?" She pointed to the mathematical problem on the board. I nodded and went to the front. I took the chalk, wrote the equation for the problem, and faced the class. I was about to return to my seat when Ma'am spoke again. "Explain your answer, Miss Vion."

I took a deep breath and started explaining the solution. It was easy since I always paid attention to her teachings.

"In order to solve the problem, you must first find the appropriate formula..." I pointed to what I wrote. I continued speaking, scanning the room. My forehead furrowed when I noticed Zeus giving me a malicious glare.

What's up with him? Always angry, even though I should be the one angry at everything his family has done. Dark clouds loomed over my emotions.

"That's all," I said and sat back down. My hands itched for something. I glanced at Minoa. I ignored her and looked calmly to the front.

I suddenly felt the urge to hurt someone. I just... took a deep breath and calmed myself.

Relax, Verian. You can't show it here. They'll be scared, and you'll get reprimanded. Keep it to yourself. I clenched my hands, closed my eyes briefly, and then opened them again. I was taken aback when Minoa handed me a jacket. I forgot it on her desk.

"Put it back on." she whispered. I smirked and followed her advice. The class ended, and I quickly arranged my things. I took Zeus's jacket before heading to the back.

Eauzi and Gustav stopped laughing and gulped when they saw me. What's wrong with these guys?

"Oh..." I placed his jacket on Zeus's table. He stood up and sighed.

"Don't you ever wear that short, short again," his voice threatened. I frowned in annoyance.

I heard their whispers.

"Oh-oh."

"Another showdown."

"Fighting over petty things."

"Zeus is acting girly." I looked at Luwen and raised an eyebrow before turning my gaze to the front.

"What's your problem? Can't you just mind your own business? This is my life. I wear what I wear, and you don't have to care." After saying that, I turned my back on him and left.

"Hey! Rhyming, huh?"

"I want Verian to teach me how to write poems."

"Me too, Rio."

"But let's tell Zeus first."

"Shut up, peasants."

I sighed and quickened my pace, but I felt them following me! Minoa walked beside me, rolling her eyes.

"You're so dramatic. I told you to wait for me, and I don't want to be with them."

"Tss."

"Minoa!" Zam shouted. We increased our pace, and every guy we passed quickly moved out of our way. I glanced briefly behind and saw the panting Rio, Jorel, Tylon, Gustav, and Eauzi. Luwen, Shaun, Zam, Vino, and Ramzior were laughing while looking at Zeus, who was glaring fiercely at each guy.

What? What is really wrong with that grumpy guy!
