Sins of Broken Hearts

Prologue

Four years since we were together. It felt like a dream come true. A total bliss of a lifetimes. I never thought I was able to land myself such a beautiful human being. I promised myself that whatever happens, he was to be left happy.

For the life of me, I couldn’t wait to get to the stadium where our prom was held. It was so nerve breaking and I was so nervous to meet him but my heart couldn't be any happier. I couldn’t wait to meet my hunk of a man. I was almost ready. It had been the perfect years of my life that felt like a lifetimes.

I only had one male figure in my life before him. Me and my dad, we had a rough relation to say the least. He always wanted a son. Who could hold the responsibilities of his empire. Wood’s Empire to be specific. But he got me instead of his son. I always doubted myself. Loathed myself. Felt insecure in my own skin. My mother tried to comfort me. But one could do so much. She left me when I was 16. I don’t think I ever cried that much ever in my life. Her death caused me to be a shell. But Xavier made it better. His words, his smiles, his presence caused me to destroy all my facade and face the music with courage. He saved me. He made me love myself and love him and I couldn't appreciate his presence in my life anymore than I already do. He was my Arc Angel.

But I wasn’t the most lucky person. Because when I made my way towards the door, my dad called me out and the words that left his lips, haunted me for the rest of my life.

“Break up with that boy.

And just like that, my love, my best friend, my world, became my enemy.

SNEAK PEAK

“H-Ho...” that never really completed because the next thing I know, my back was harshly planted on the said door with his fingers around my neck and his face, a feather apart.

“ Precious, I missed you.” He said with a mock seriousness.

“W-What are you doing in my home? L-Let me go.” I tried wiggling out of his hard hold but no avail.

Whirling me around, he opened the door and went out with no backward glance.

“You know very well what am I doing here.” He said with emotionless voice.

This Xavier. This ruthless looking Xavier shocked me to the core. I never saw him without the warmth in those orbs. The sweet touch of his hands. The gentleness of his lips. The feeling of home just by his presence.

It was all gone.

“Let the game begin, Precious. Lets see who wins this time.” Saying that he pushed me in the door harshly.

Damn you Door.

“I lost once. I won’t lose again. I have nothing to lose this time.” He whispered in my ear.
