Sleepless Nights

This story is about a teenager whose name is Shenoy. He resides in Hollywood, California, USA. He is a famous and successful actor right from the beginning of his career. In his childhood, he used to do plays, theatre and dramas which are very popular. That added a slight advantage in his quick progress as an actor. On 18 December 2018, he signed a new movie titled “A Day to remember”. The movie is a romantic and comedy genre. He is very excited to do that film as his friends and his close ones associated with the movie.

The movie shoot schedule is in the second week of January 2019. Before that Shenoy decided to travel to India to meet some of his close friends. He planned a 10 days trip to India. He left to India on 22 December 2018. He landed in Delhi and checked into Radisson hotel. It was late night when he checked into the hotel. He is very tired and went to sleep without dinner. The next morning he met his friend Shraddha who is a famous author and a great singer. He is very happy to meet her after a long gap. They left to a local restaurant to have some desi food as Shenoy is a foodie. He loves Indian food and always explores eating new items. They had endless conservation for hours. They ate every dish available at that time. Shraddha is in shock to see him in this fashion. The restaurant manager is very happy as he earned a huge amount in the form of one bill. Shraddha took the bill to laminate it and cherish that awkward and funny moment.

Later that evening Shraddha said that rest of our friends will be reaching Delhi by this weekend. I have planned two days trip which will be a great way to end your trip. Shenoy reached the hotel around11:45 p.m. He was drunk that night. Instead of going to his room, he went on knocking other rooms. By luck one of the room is open. He thought that it was his room and slept. But the room was Mr.Rahul who got killed that night by a group of gangsters. Rahul is a drug peddler was there for a big deal with some of the VIPS. he was not in his senses and was completely unaware of the massacre.

The next morning on December 24 2018, when he woke up he noticed everything was alright. But he is in state of shock as he remembered seeing something weird last night. He is in his room when he some up which was a mystery. Shenoy has a good habit of memorizing the surroundings of the area around him. That habit helped him and made him realize that something is fishy. Though he is a famous actor, he got tensed and nervous thinking about what happened last night. The next moment he called Shraddha for help.

Around 10:30 a.m. in the morning, she reached the hotel. She rushed to the room to see whether Shenoy is alright or not. She is happy seeing him better than before. Then she enquired what happened exactly last night but no one is willing to tell. For that moment cc tv cameras, are not working. Knowing that everyone in that hotel got worried about what to happen next. Shenoy is a popular actor. Within no time media, police force and some influential people reached the hotel. Hours passed away with tension and at that the time she stood by his side. Police force examined the crime scene inch by inch. Then they ordered everyone to remain in the hotel until further notice. Shraddha being an author she came up with a master plan to escape from that hotel to her place. Next day is Christmas Eve which helped them to execute their master plan.

Being an author she has some connections which might help them. She conveyed the entire plan to them. It took around 4-5 reads in the evening to reach the hotel. Three members Ravi, Raj, Simran entered into the hotel as officers. It was around 10:30 p.m. yet there were officers, media for protection. Simran somehow entered into the hotel but Raj was almost caught at the entrances by the officers. He goes interrogated for half an hour by a senior officer and let him go. Shenoy dressed like Simran and Shraddha as Raj to evacuate from the hotel. They also hacked the cc cameras for some time to wipe out the footage for safety reasons. The plan is to reach her friend Mr.Sibal who is MLA of that particular region. Everything was ready and her friend driver is waiting at the station.

They came out at 1:30 a.m. and contacted the driver Mr.Munna who is waiting for them to reach as soon as possible. But the situation is different from outside as there was a curfew in that area. The decision came out at 12 p.m. by the officials.

One might think they came out as CBI officers to escape. But when they came outside someone informed the police headquarters about them. The police took them into custody for further enquiry There was chaos everywhere around Chandni Chowk, Delhi. After 84 hours they reached Goa to celebrate the new year which was the part of the plan.

Rest of the friends are already in Goa waiting for this two. Baldev one of their friend is waiting at the warehouse to receive them and take back to the resort. They reached the resort on December 28, 2018, around 2:00 a.m. after all the odds and troubles on their way. When everything was about to become normal the real tension begins in Shenoy life.

They reached Goa to relish their moments of friendship. During that time interrogation in Delhi gone to the next level. Three members have underwent investigation by officials at the same time to ensure that there will be no cocky stories. Despite the efforts of the investigation ended up with the same story by three of them. This shocked officers and decided to let them go. Three of them planned to come up with the same story whenever there is an investigation ahead. They were pretty sure that police will catch them and enquire. Delhi officials ordered them to be in the city until this case ends. With the help of some politicians and VIPs, the three members are set free from any investigation related to the case.

Shenoy is too tired and tensed due to the events happening around him from the past few days. He took some drugs which made him sleep for 2 days and woke up on 30th morning. The moment he woke up his friend Shraddha shared the good news which enlightened him. She said that we both are out of the case as she spoke with her friend to help them. Being a friend and powerful politician he made sure that no one will enquire them. He became speechless and took a deep breath before uttering his emotions. Shenoy thanked Shraddha to help him and being with him. He announced that we are going to party for 2 continuous days starting with sunburn tonight.

The famous DJ Martin Garrix is in the house for the sunburn to rock the dance floor. The atmosphere is mind-boggling and mesmerizing. People are going out crazy and enjoying themselves to the fullest. Martin engaged the crowd in such a way which made them feel the essence of the imaginary world. People are also boozing, taking the drug which created a different aura. Shenoy and his friends are boozing and consuming drugs to feel that moment. Everything was fine and happy around them until the effect of drugs and booze came into the picture. Shenoy wants to booze more but they don’t have drinks. As his friend Pinto is from Goa only he told Shenoy to be with the group. He also added that be will go and get the drinks. But Shenoy is not in the mood to listen to anyone. After a small argument, Shenoy went to get the drinks.

Shenoy went near the bar counter to take drinks. The moment he met the bartender Shenoy was in shock. The bartender kept on asking him sir how many drinks you need yet no response from Shenoy. He got frozen for a bit and became normal. He apologized for the weird behaviour. He took the drinks and returned back. The reason for his weird behaviour is the moment he saw him he got some visual in mind. The visual is of that incident happened in that hotel. He thought that was an illusion as he was a drunkard. In the meantime, his friends got worried as he took a lot of time to return back. He went back and behaved in a normal way. They are still enjoying the party as it was the holiday season everywhere. At 3:30 a.m. they reached back to have some rest before they go to another party the next day.

As soon as Shenoy slept the same visual came into play. The visual is like someone screaming for help and sound of broken bottles. Shenoy could not able to see the full and clear visual. The moment the man's face is about to reveal the visual disappears from his brain or mind. For a moment, Shenoy woke up in fear. He drank a glass of water and went back to sleep. The next day he woke up at 11:45 a.m. which was a little bit early than daily time. He wants to spend more quality time with his friends to get rid of what happened in the past few days. They started the last day of 2018 on a bang with a party. They had a great supper and got ready for an amazing eve as it’s time to welcome 2019.

As per the plan, it should be a public party to celebrate New year eve. Then Shenoy changed the plan. He announced that his close friend Jennings is in Goa. To meet her and spend the time he arranged a private party at the farmhouse. The farmhouse is far from the city and no one can go there. Even his friends were in shock to hear about this secret farmhouse. He also announced that we are leaving around 4 p.m. to reach before the sunset. Later Shraddha and Pinto had a quick conversation about this sudden twist. She got panic because till now everything was going according to their plan. Yes, there was a plan made by Shraddha, pinto and MLA when he’s given drugs to make him sleep. The plan was to take Shenoy to the two parties to erase everything from his mind. After all the discussion they left for the farmhouse.

The farmhouse is too beautiful and amazing. Yet there is one room which looked horrific. The party is at the poolside which made them go crazy. The time they reached the farmhouse Jennings was waiting for their welcome. Shenoy and Jennings met and hugged each other. Later he introduced Jennings to everyone. There were positive vibes in every corner of the farmhouse. Party started with loud music, drinks and weed. As usual, everyone boozing, dancing and chilling. After some time Shenoy got a call from an unknown person. Generally, he doesn’t pick up unknown calls. But he picked that call as he is drinking. The moment he said, “Hello, who is this?” he got a reply which made him fear like anything. Immediately he cut the call and went to talk to Shraddha. He said that someone wants to finish me and his voice is the same as Rahul’s voice. He also added that he got the visual of the incident twice yesterday. Hearing everything she told him to relax. Nothing happened and you are getting these illusions as we are partying from two days. There is stress chill enjoy the eve we will talk about this tomorrow. He also thought the same way and enjoyed the eve. Then came the best time of the year and party to welcome 2019. There were fireworks everywhere which made the party even more beautiful. Everyone wished each other. The party is still going and Shenoy booze a lot as usual. There is a weakness in him that he goes out of control whenever he is too happy or sad. It is around 2:00 a.m. Shenoy started dancing like a maniac. For a moment everyone out there thought is he a star. In the middle of the party, Shenoy went to bring drinks which are in the refrigerator. Somehow drinks are in the scary room. He went inside the room to bring the drinks. The moment he opened the refrigerator the light goes off. He switched on the torch in his mobile to take the drinks. The moment he kept his hand inside there were sounds coming from the fridge. After a few minutes, he saw the same visual in the form of ice cubes. He shrieked very loud yet no sound went outside. Somehow he managed to come out of that room with drinks. Despite the incident happened a few minutes back still he boozed and took drugs. He boozed so much that he can have a sound sleep. But things didn’t go according to his thoughts. The moment he had the last peg he fell sleepy. A few seconds later there are voices heard in the background which is scary. He ignored the voices and slept. The party ended around 4:30 a.m. Jennings had to leave to London due to some emergency. So she left at 5:00 a.m. Her exit was a mysterious one to everyone at the party. They went to sleep at 5:30 a.m. While Shenoy is having a sound sleep the same visual came into play once again in his mind. The time when he is about to see the face of the unknown guy he used to wake up by some means. This series of incidents had an impact on Shenoy health. He fell ill the next day. He took complete rest before he leaves to the USA on January 2 2019. On that night he didn't get the same visual which happened in Delhi. This shocked him and made him curious to know the reason.

Everything was set to travel to the USA. He reached America on 5 Jan 2019. He decided to take some rest before the shoot begins for the next film. He had proper rest for three days. Shenoy noticed that the visual had stopped haunting him. He is happy and made a quick call to Shraddha to inform her about the news. She told him that “I already said to chill and relax as there is nothing to worry.”

The next week shoot began in New York City. The first schedule of the shoot was for 12 days. The shoot is over in grand fashion. The entire unit is too happy and decided to party. They went to a disco pub to enjoy. As soon as Shenoy heard the word party he said no. The crew unit was in shock as he is a party freak. On questioning him to know the reason behind his no Shenoy had to go to the party. Because he cannot disclose the reason as his career can be in jeopardy. He tried so hard not to booze a lot yet he did so that no one will doubt him. The party is going smooth and fabulous until the moment of the visual appeared once again. As Shenoy was about to consume the 12 beer he got the glimpses of the same visual. This time he was in a conscious state so he managed to end boozing that night. It was weird for the rest of the crew.

Nonetheless, he managed to reach home after the party. He had a mild headache so he decided to have a small peg. He had a small peg of scotch and slept. In the beginning hours of his sleep no visual played. The reason is that he kept thinking about the visual. The moment he stopped thinking the visual appeared once again. This time it is a little bit scary than before. He woke up even before the visual ends. One can imagine the power and impact of that visual. The next day he would up late.

For that reason, he missed the flight to go to the next location for the shoot. Crew members had landed in Boston for next shoot. Producer somehow booked a flight for Shenoy. The flight is on 27 January 2019. He had to spend two more nights in New York City. Those two nights we’re peaceful without any problems. He reached Boston and went straight ai to the location.

One fine day Shenoy felt nauseous. He visited Doctor Sara who is a psychologist on the very same day. The moment she saw him she asked is everything fine. Hearing that amused Shenoy. Later Shenoy explained everything in detail of the events that happened in the past month. She conducted some tests and advised him to visit her again on 3 February 2019. He updated the news to director and producer. They decided to stop the further shoot keeping in mind that health is important. On February 5 Shenoy went to the hospital to meet Sara. She made him feel comfortable. Then she explains the situation and problem he is facing.

Sara: Hey Shenoy. Hope you are fine

Shenoy: Feeling ok doctor. Are the reports ready?

Sara: Yes. I am been studying your case and reports in detail from 3 days.

Shenoy: Is anything, serious doctor?

Sara: No need to fear yet we need to solve this issue without any further impact.

Now let me explain in detail. Those glimpses of the visual are only appearing whenever you booze a lot. This is because there is a part called the subconscious mind in our brain which stores those incidents which do not have clarity. That means if you see or do anything which you are completely aware of. There will be some signals to trigger those incidents so that one can get out of it. In your case, as you mentioned that you saw and heard someone screaming for help when you are in a drunk state. On that particular day of that incident in Delhi. This is why you are getting those scary visuals when you booze a lot.

Shenoy: Yes doctor. But no one else is not believing this and able to see. As I remember there are others too in that room that day.

Sara: That I don't know. Now listen with focus the only way to solve your case is to know what exactly happened on that night in Radisson hotel Delhi.

Shenoy: There is a huge risk in this. As it involves an Indian police force, media and politicians. By gods grace, I came back safe to the USA. Again going back will be risky of getting caught.

Sara: There is no alternative. You need to know. Otherwise, you will get a brain tumor. Think wisely before you react. You don’t worry about the police, the media etc. I can handle it. You confirm me before the end of this week about your decision. Then we can plan to get rid out of the problem of sleepless nights forever.

The moment he came out from the clinic he called Shraddha to inform this case in detail. She couldn’t lift the call due to some personal work. He called her many times yet no response. This made Shenoy worry as she responds on time. He cannot decide without her consultancy in this case. He had less time to decide and inform Sara. Finally, she called him back on that night. He narrated the whole incident. Listening to the story she was in shock. She became numb for a few minutes as she didn’t know how to react. She asked him 12 hours time to contact her friend Sibal for help. At first, Shenoy had a doubt in her words and behaviour. He said ok and will be waiting for your response. Try to respond even faster.

On February 6, 2019, around 3:15 a.m. Shraddha called Sibal to talk. He asked is everything fine Shraddha?

Shraddha: No Sibal. A few minutes back Shenoy called to discuss the incident that happened in December 2018.

Sibal: It is a closed case for a long time. I already informed you right. Why you are discussing now.

Shraddha: She then explained the entire story of how that incident haunting him like hell. She also said how it affected Shenoy health. I understand that there is a risk in knowing the truth which lands up in danger.

Sibal: Then why you are talking about this now?

Shraddha: Because he is my friend who helped me in reaching heights as an author. I don’t care about the risk as my friend is important than anything. Are you helping me or not?

Sibal: I got your point but what about the consequences as there is a possibility of you getting caught.

Then Shraddha ended up the call by saying we will help him at any expenditure. Then he had no other choice than to help her as she is also a friend.

On the afternoon of February 6, 2019, Shraddha called Shenoy to say that she will help to come out of this problem. She also said him to reach India by 13th of February 2019. She also mentioned that February 14th is valentines day and 15th is Shivaratri We can know the truth without any problem. The main reason for choosing those dates is media and public will be busy and no one can trace them. She then advised him to change his getup when he arrives in India. Shenoy is happy with her plan as it paves the way to know the truth in a smooth fashion.

After the phone call, Shenoy contacted Sara for an appointment. She said him to visit her house so that they can discuss without any disturbance. Shenoy went to her house around 4 p.m. that day. He mentioned that he is leaving for India on Feb 9. He also asked how you can help me in this case. She said being a doctor I have contacts in India which might be an advantage in your case. You need a forensic doctor to help you in digging the truth. I will give you Sajid number who is expert in this field. Take his number and contact him when you reach India. I have already explained your case so no worries. You will be fine. Take rest before you travel and leave alcohol for a while.

It is on Feb 8 2019, he called Shraddha to inform he will be in India on Feb 9th evening. Make sure that you will be at the airport on time. I am sending a photo of my getup so that you can only identify and take me to your home. He arrived in India as doctor Sara. They both reached her home around 11:30 p.m. on February 9. He went to sleep straight away as he got tired. In the middle of the night, Shraddha called Sabil to inform the arrival of Shenoy in India. Then he said to come to his place on Feb 10th evening and will plan what to do.

The very next morning Shenoy called Sajid to meet him. But Sajid is out of town he will meet on Feb 11th evening. Then he had a discussion with Shraddha about the plan. She said that we are going to Sibal home to know the truth. The very next day Shenoy met Sajid. He requested him to come with him for 3 days to help him. He said ok. Three members went to Sibal home. Sajid is in shock to see Sibal as they both are best friends. Sibal is also in shock to see him with Shenoy. Sibal has organized a party on 13th Feb evening. All three members know the fact that Shenoy will be in danger if he boozes this time. Still, he arranged this party so that all three can discuss how to reveal the truth without getting their names involved and hands dirty. But Shenoy decided to booze that evening. In the middle of that party, the truth came out and the problem solved. Everyone might be wondering how this happened and what is the mystery behind that incident which changed Shenoy life.

Let me take you back to the party where Shenoy was boozing with everyone. As usual, the same thing happened with Shenoy as he saw the glimpses of the visual. That glimpses helped him in knowing the truth. That night when Rahul got killed all the three are at the crime spot. Shraddha is the reason for Shenoy's presence in the crime scene. She is aware of the fact that when Shenoy is too happy he will booze and become too high. As planned Shenoy was too happy as he met his friend after a long time and also signed a new movie. After her exit, he went to the bar to booze. At that time she contacts the hotel manager and told him to evacuate everyone from the hotel for a few hours. She also said to keep all the doors locked except one room where Rahul stayed. As per the plan, he ended up reaching that room.

When he reached Shenoy heard the voice of Rahul screaming for help. Rahul is none other than Sibal brother and Sajid is the VIP who is in the scene to do that drugs deal. This plan by Sibal to earn a ransom amount of money for upcoming elections. That was a plan made by Sibal. Rahul's murder was not part of the plan. Yet the murder happened. Sajid became greedy to earn more money. His main motto to kill Rahul is to make Sibal weak at the time of elections. By doing so he can become the kingmaker without any problem. And also he can be in good books of Sibal to earn more in an illegal manner.

Listening to the truth Shenoy was heartbroken as his best friend is the truth for this whole mystery. He is about to attack Sibal and Shraddha. At that time lights got off and there was a heavy breeze. After a few seconds, there was a shadow of human coming towards all four of them. As he came near to them the lights were on. Seeing him Sibal and Sajid were in a big shock. The shadow was none other than Shenoy's. There were two Shenoy’s in one place at the same time.

For a moment everyone became a statue and don’t know how to react or what to do. Then the shadow man broke the silence by going near other Shenoy. He removed the mask from him. Both got surprised to see each other looks similar. The man who acted as Shenoy is Rahul. Sara and Pinto came in front of them without prior notice which was even more shocking. Then Sara madam explained everything in detail. The moment everyone left the hotel Shraddha went back to the spot. She called me to reach the hotel now. Along with pinto, I reached the hotel and performed the operation to save Rahul. Then pinto took Shenoy with him to his secret villa. I and Shraddha made Rahul as Shenoy. Shraddha planned in such a fashion to protect Rahul from getting killed. Also to replace him as Shenoy is part of the strategy. She got a doubt when Sibal said, Rahul is a drug dealer which is not true. Rahul is a cop who went as a drug dealer on a mission. She contacted Rahul to ensure everything is fine. He explained in detail.

Everything is smooth and her creative mind helped to execute this plan to perfection. I contacted Shraddha as soon as Shenoy left the clinic. Sara realized this is going to end by giving trouble to everyone. Then Shraddha made this plan to convince Shenoy to come to India to know the truth. She also suggested to give Sajid number to make him available in the scene for the climax scene.

This all happened on the same evening when Rahul called Shraddha. He stated that there is something wrong to happen. Like this, she was able to save Rahul and morph his face as Shenoy to know what is the reality behind this. As expected Sajid revealed the truth in anxiety and panic. Rahul asked his brother now what to do with him. Sibal replied that he will be their master stroke who will take to victory. I know what to do so leave it to me. He also asked Rahul to go abroad till things get normal.

Then comes the moment when Shenoy and Shraddha come face to face. At first, Shenoy is furious as it caused damage in various forms. She apologized for her actions but she did to save Rahul and know the truth. The best part of the entire story and plan is that both Shenoy are unaware until they meet each other. Even Shraddha claimed that she got confused a bit when both met each other to identify. At the end of the day, friendship won as they hugged each other. But he asked Shraddha how you managed all this keeping everything as secret.

Shraddha replied with a smile on her face “You helped me without your notice. The day you remember we reached Goa and you slept for a long time. In that span of time, we interchanged the bodies and Rahul cam into the picture. So that Rahul and myself can plan further. We kept you in a secret place until January 1 2019. By that time everything was set up to execute. You remember I said you to come in different get up to India because we can hide you for one last time.

Real Shenoy was with pinto till now. This is how you got this glimpses of the visuals as sometimes we created with the help of holograms. Technology helped to make you believe that something is happening around you. Now you are free you can enjoy your life.

Shenoy is numb after listening to her speech. He felt amazing after this experience. Then he said he will leave to the USA tomorrow evening. Before that, I want to say something Shraddha.

“This story made me a new human being which is a great feeling. I want to show this world the whole incident in the form of a movie. You will be the director, writer for this. We will start this project after completing the current movie.” He also stated that everyone who got involved will feature in this movie. We will shoot this with few changes.

After a few days, Shenoy is back in the USA shooting his new movie. Shraddha writing her new book. Sara with her seminars. Sibal with his business. When everything ended as expected, that can’t happen in life. On September 3, 2019, Shenoy threw a party in which he saw the same visual. The next moment he called everyone to inform the visual. At first, he thought his friends are doing the prank. But they denied it. After that, he turned on the video mode where everyone saw the visual at the same time. Lights were off and there came a sentence

“Now the real game starts ”.
