The Criminal

I sigh heavily as I got fired from my job again. When I will get something to do? My mother will scold me again. I groaned and walked home. While I walking, I saw two police officers being held by older women.

"I'm sorry but we can't do anything." the police said.

"Please, help me..." said the older women.

"Mrs, he is a dangerous criminal and even us ask his help. We're really sorry." the police said.

"He's going to kill me!" begged that woman. The police pull his arm.

"I'm sorry. We can't do anything." by that they walked away.

That woman crying and fall on her knees. I went to her and kneel down.

"Mrs, are you okay?"

"I'm not! He's going to kill me. I have to run!" she went in and leave me there. She looks terrified. I sigh and stand up. I know who's she referring to. We have a dangerous criminal and I never wish to meet him. Some girls said that he looks hot and handsome. I never saw him. Just hearing about him. I continue walking and an incident like that already happened many times.

While I'm walking, my phone ringing. I take it out and it was my big brother.

"What?"

"From your tone of voice, you get fired again aren't you?" Valex asked. I groaned and sit at the bench.

"What I do wrong!" I cry. Valex laughed.

"Calm down. It's just something that you should get through." said Valex.

"I already got through of it many times!" I stomped my feet. Valex sigh.

"Maybe something unexpected that will happen to you one day." said Valex.

Unexpected happens? Like it will happen. I stand up and fix my skirt.

"Well, I will go to buy food. I don't have a mood to cook. Want something else?"

"Umm, just buy me a chocolate waffle." said Valex.

I nod and hummed. I hang up without letting him saying goodbye or something. I huffed in tired and about to walk but I bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry." I pick up that person's bag.

"It okay." he snatched the bag from me and walked away. I furrowed my eyebrows as I see him walked away.

"You welcome." I said sarcastically and walked away.

I open the door and straight to the kitchen.

"Val!" no response. Where is he? He never out if I'm going to buy his favorite food.

"Val! " I call again. Why this house so quiet? Usually, it will be like an earthquake. I put down the plastic bag and went upstairs to the Valex room.

"Val?" I peek inside and saw nothing. Where is he? I went downstairs back and sigh as I put my hands on my hips.

"Where is this big guy?" I mumbled. I sit on the couch. I just watch some channels and I don't know where that guy goes. Then, my phone vibrates. I turn it on and it was Valex texting me.

"He's going out?" I frowned.

"Whatever." I throw my phone away.

As I watching TV, break news appeared.

"Breaking news, a big company call 'Welly' being attack by the group of gangsters. The company burns down and the police didn't take any action because they know this one of Liam jobs. "

Wow, that Liam guy is sure so scary.

Welly company? Isn't that the company that I ask for a job in the past few days? I didn't expect it will be like this. I turn off the TV and walked to my room.

"Leah!" As I about to take my towel, I heard my mother call. I think she already home. I rush downstairs and saw her bring a lot of boxes.

"Mum, what is this?" I asked in confusion.

"I heard you bein fired again." she said. I let out a heavy sigh. I nod slowly.

"Okay. I want you to pack your things and go to your apartment." she said. My eyes widen and my jaw dropped.

"Hold on. Are you kicking me out!" I asked. She glared at me.

"Don't you raised your voice with me. I'm not kicking you. You have to live by yourself. I already help you by finding you an apartment." she said. I can't say anything.

"I already pay the rent for 1 month so you only have one month to live there. The other month, you have to pay for yourself." she walked to the kitchen.

I followed her.

"Mum, please don't be like this." I begged. She scoffed and shake her head.

"I don't care. You only have today to go there. " she said. I sigh in to give up. Once my mother made a decision, there's no turning back. Why my fate like this? I went upstairs and look around my room.

"This will be my last day." I muttered.

"Leah! Pack your things! The car already arrive!" she yells. I groaned and ruffled my hair. Everything is changing. Everything will change.

My mother kicking me out. My father wouldn't care about it. Valex is always here to defense me because my mother loves him more than me. I want to cry but there are no tears come out. I let out a heavy sigh and just accept whatever it is.

Right now, I'm on my way to my new apartment. This is it. My new life will start. I can't meet my big brother and have fun with him again. Honestly, I'm really sad. Like it or not, I have to. Watching a big building getting closer and closer. The driver's voice snapped me out of it.

"Miss, we're here." he said. I nod and went out. As I lifted my gaze, a grip on my sling bag become tighten. I will never be apart from my parents before.

But here I am.

"Miss, Here's your things." said the driver, he pushes the trolly to me.

"Thanks." I smile and take over. This will be heavy. I push the trolly with all I have to the elevator. After a few minutes, I did it! I look at my card and it room 505. I press the button. As I waiting, someone calls me.

"Hello?"

"I'm sorry for not being there for you Leah!" Valex suddenly apologized. I chuckle softly.

"Hey, it okay though. I think, I just a burden to you guys."

"No, you're not! Stop saying that!" Valex scold me. I arrive and push the trolly while I find my room.

"Fine."

"Well, mother says you being transferred to your new apartment. Where? So that I can help you." said Valex. I giggle at him.

"I'm okay. I can handle it."

"You sure?" he asked. Finally, I found the room.

"I'm sure. Bye!" I hang up.

Actually, I need some time alone. Sometimes, I felt jealous that Valex have a good life. Our parents love him and me? I just a burden. That's why I never have friends because they told me I'm a burden. I unlock the door and my jaw dropped.

"Wow..."

I look around. The apartment is good. I take off the silk that covers up the couch. This already good. It makes me excited. I sit on the couch and dust gets into my nose.

"Ahh, I should clean first." I look around and huffed.

"A lot of work to do." I mumbled.
