Chapter 3: Ocean

Two days has passed after the Kars Kaffe incident and Elise still can't forget the stranger with unusual colored eyes. How she still can't tell what color the stranger's eyes. Her fingers itched whenever she tries to remember the blonde stranger and tried to sketch it. But when she reaches the part of sketching her model's eyes, she stops sketching and the feeling of wanting to find the stranger fills her. Then the realization of not being able to find the platinum blonde hits her and she will once again wonder about the color of the stranger's eyes.

A repetitive process.

Within those two days, call it insane or stalker-ish, she visited Kars Kaffe again just to see if she could find the stranger with platinum blonde colored hair. She sat by the table near the counter and the door, with a cup of steaming café Americano, she doodled random sketches while checking if the blonde would show up. There are times she encountered the blonde she does not want to see, William, and had to endure his babbling and ego-related topics while checking if her platinum blonde stranger will appear.

But Elise was not able to see the stranger.

*crash*

"Whoa! Easy there Michael Angelo!" a male student shouted in surprise.

Elise, yellow paint all over her faded slim-fit jeans, held her paintbrush tightly and glared threateningly at her canvas that's smudged with yellow and white. Chocolate brown colored eyes glared at the canvas as if wanting it to spontaneously combust. Or for her eyes to suddenly shoot lasers and burn her canvas. Paints, brushes and a palette are scattered on the ground and those around her have a shocked expressions on their faces.

"Michael Angelo, you doin' okay there?" Elise's classmate, Vincent Valentino, asked the furious brunette. His right cheek was smudged with yellow paint, because of Elise's sudden trashing on her painting.

But the question that Vincent asked Elise was ignored and the brunette painter was still glaring at the canvas with yellow and white paint smudges. He looked at the girl beside her, which happens to be Claire, and informed her about Elise. "Check on her, ya? She's acting like she'll just go and stab the canvas with her paintbrush and it's scaring everyone, even the prof." to prove his point, he pointed the professor who was peeking from his own tall canvas.

Claire, finished painting a vase with a Venus flytrap, turned to her cousin and cocked her brow. Elise was glaring at the canvas and she can hear her mumbling curses and other incoherent words. "You okay Elise?"

Elise grumbled after hearing Claire's voice and stopped her menacing stare at the canvas. Taking a deep breath, she bent down to pick up her paint brushes, and set them on the stool beside her. Looking back at the canvas, she frowned and stopped the urge to take her painting knife and stab the white with paint smudges canvas. The thought of the stranger's was irritating her.

"Hey, you sure you're alright?" Claire asked again. She approached her cousin and placed a hand over her shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze for comfort. "We can leave if you need fresh air." She then checked their professor for approval. A silent fervent nods were his reply.

The brunette painter sighed heavily. "Sure." She whispered and left her cousin to gather her things.

As Elise gathered her painting materials, she overheard Vincent talking to someone on the phone.

"Yes. Yes. No. Nyx, I told you a thousand times that you need to pay for your tuition." Vincent paused and frowned. "Fine! I'll be there later, just finishing this class. Bye Nyx!"

"Hey Elise, let's go?" Claire called out her cousin.

Claire's voice ceased Elise's eavesdropping and slung her messenger bag on her shoulders. She wondered why Vincent, the usual comedian in her batch, looked annoyed at who he was talking to. Shrugging the thought aside, she followed her cousin which she can assume will be heading to Octavia's class and drag her out of her class and then next will be Rick.

Arriving at Octavia's class, after Claire telling Octavia's math professor that they have a family emergency, they were able to pull out their feisty cousin.

"Thanks a bunch ladies. That damn exes and whys are killing my brain." Octavia said with a grin.

Elise scrunched her nose after hearing what her cousin said. "Why does it sound like you were not talking about variables?"

Octavia's grin widen. "I wasn't."

Claire and Elise rolled their eyes.

"So-" Octavia went in-between her cousins and placed her arms around their shoulders. "Where to ladies?"

Claire moved closer to her cousin and looked up to her with a mellow expression. "Well, I was thinking of taking Elise somewhere..." she looked at her cousin who still has a sour look on her face. "Distracting. I was hoping you know a place?"

The taller of the three cousins' grin turned into a cheshire smile and she pulled her cousins closer. "Let's ditch my man for today and I'll take you ladies to someplace relaxing."

"Octavia, you plus that plotting-overlord smile of yours usually leads to trouble." Elise eyed her taller cousin skeptically. "Last time you smiled like that, my mom banned me from my laptop for a week! Just because someone-" she glared at Octavia. "Decided that putting the volume to max, thinking the earphones were plugged in, while watching porn is a good idea."

Claire snickered while Octavia just laughed at what Elise said.

"Anyhooo~" Octavia pulled her cousins towards the direction of the dorm rooms. "Let me take you to someplace magical that you might question your whole life." She said and led her cousins to their dorm room.

When they got to the dorm house, on the fifth floor where their dorm room is, Elise heard a familiar music being played by a violin and piano along the halls. She recognized it as the instrumental song from the famous Japanese animation called 'Evangelion' and the music is called 'Cruel Angel Thesis' but a rather arranged piece. As if it was a cover. Girlish squeals were heard as well as the music played beautifully.

Along the beautiful music, several girlish squeals filled the halls along with the music. Some even declared their undying love, saying they wanted to marry the musician playing the said song.

"Oh! It seems that Nacht Cadence has a new cover song." Claire said, hearing the cover song.

Elise looked at Claire who has a pleased look on her face as she bobbed her head to the beat. The instrumental is indeed catchy. "Who?"

But before Claire was able to explain about Nacht Cadence, they reached their dorm room and Octavia practically pushed them inside. Claire and Elise were glad that the feisty woman was kind enough to open the door first before being shoved inside like cattle and closing the door.

The dorm room has three beds; one on each side and one beside the window which is the farthest edge of the room. Octavia got the window bed because of her sneaking habit and the other two occupants of the room would rather sleep soundly by the sides than being interrupted by Octavia's escapades.

"Chop-chop ladies! Get change and I'll be taking you two to somewhere that can make your panties wet." Octavia said cheerfully, rushing to her bed and picked up some new set of clothing and proceed in taking off her shirt. "Especially you Elise. Gods know how long you've been on a dry spell that it can be called as the second Sahara."

Elise rolled her eyes and turned her back to her dark haired cousin. She heard Claire giggled and comment about telling Rick what Octavia said, which the taller girl retorted by saying her boyfriend knows that she has a little fun at times but not all the way.

"Unlike miss Sahara over there."

Octavia's comment ticked Elise. "Why am I always-" Turning to face her cousin with a glare, her words got stuck on her throat and her pupils dilated with what she saw.

Octavia and Claire only in their underwear.

The dark-skinned woman wore a frontal-clasped black bra with a black skimpy thong. Claire on the other hand wore a pink bra and low-rise panty that looked good with her skin tone.

"Liking what you see?" Octavia teased after noticing her cousin staring at her and Claire for more than necessary.

Blinking a few times, the brunette realized that she has been staring at her half-naked cousins and turned back around. "Will you two please put on some clothes? Seriously? We already talked about this." She shouted, feeling her ears getting hotter due to embarrassment.

The two laughed at how Elise looked genuinely embarrassed at seeing half-naked women.

"Oh shut up you two and get dressed!" Elise grumbled and checked her dresser for what she would wear.

It took a good hour for the three to fully dress-up. Octavia chose a light blue spaghetti strapped blouse with a washed denim vest, black skinny jeans and black heeled boots. Claire wore a pink sleeveless dress with matching black dress shoes that has a crisscross strap that goes all the way to her ankles. Elise decided to wear her long sleeved plaid polo tucked in to her black hakama pants, and black loafers.

"What in the name of Zeus are you wearing?" Octavia asked to Elise, raising a brow at what her brunette cousin was wearing. Elise was about to answer her when she raised her hand and approached her artsy cousin. "That was a rhetorical question." she grumbled and began to fold the sleeves of Elise's polo until it was three inches below her elbows. "There! I swear Elise, for an arts student, you have no fashion sense."

Elise rolled her eyes and ignored her cousin's teases. "Let's just go." She said and left the room.

"Wow, someone's in a hurry. Right Claire?" Octavia elbowed her blonde cousin.

Claire has a knowing smile even after feeling the elbow to her side. "She seems frustrated for the past few days. So probably, she thinks that wherever you'll be taking us will get her mind off of whatever she's dealing with. That reminds me, where are you taking us?"

Octavia merely grinned.

Driving a Mitsubishi Strada for thirty minutes away from campus, with Octavia managing the wheel and Claire and Elise are hanging for dear life, they arrived at the luxurious part of the city. Well-known branded shops lined up from each side of the street, people wearing expensive looking clothing and accessories roamed the streets or drove by, and classy cars are parked by the street. The place defines sophistication from left to right.

"Why are we here?" Elise asked, looking around the area from the window. She was unsure to why their feisty cousin took them to such place knowing that they won't be buying anything expensive anytime soon. Not that they have no money to buy it. They just don't need to buy anything from the stores around them.

Claire was silently looking around and wondering as well why Octavia brought them to such place.

"Relax worry-pants. I promised to take you someplace relaxing and I shall deliver-Oh! There it is!" Octavia cheerfully pointed the two-story building that's painted all black with golden linings. She drove towards the building and stopped before it. "Where here ladies!" She announced.

Before they could even open the door, it was already opened for them by three men in suits.

"Welcome to 'The Siren'!" Three cheery doorman said, offering their hands to each ladies in the vehicle. Claire and Elise were stunned at what they saw and did not speak when they were led to the double doors of the establishment. Octavia grinned and gave her keys to the one who assisted her and told him to take care of her car.

The three were led inside the establishment and was informed to wait at a small, well-lit and fully furnished reception area. A woman with light brown colored hair that's fully braided and hung on her shoulder and dressed in a long dress that's showing her cleavage welcomed them warmly and asked if it was their first time in the establishment.

Elise and Claire looked at the woman and both thought that she was beautiful and well-endowed on the chest area.

"Oh no, not really." Octavia spoke up, answering the woman's question

The light brown haired woman looked at Octavia and showed her a knowing smile. "Ah miss Black. Welcome back." The woman greeted. She crossed her arms under her chest and looked at the women around Octavia. "And your companions?"

"They're my cousins. I brought them here because they need to relax." Octavia answered, saying the term 'relax' as if there was an underlying meaning to it.

The woman in a long dress nodded her head. "I understand. Well ladies, welcome to 'The Siren'. My name is Victoria and I am the manager of this establishment." She said and led the three of them to the door by the right side of the room. "Now, the only rule I would give you ladies is that never, under any circumstances, would you leave my place without a smile."

"What?" Claire and Elise squeaked.

But before they were able to get any answers, the three of them were pushed towards the now-open door and greeted by someone dressed in a black and white bartender outfit.

"Welcome ladies. Our theme for today is maid and butler." Said the person in a bartender outfit, smiling charmingly at them.

Elise looked at the person who greeted them and found herself staring.

The guy, Elise assumed, who welcomed them inside has a long platinum blonde hair that's tied in a high ponytail that accentuated the small gentle smile. She had taken note that the man was skinny and yet has a sexy figure. Then his posture looked like he is a true gentleman in days of old. Then she looked at the guy's eyes and found ocean colored blue colored eyes looking at her. Elise gasped in surprise upon seeing those piercing blue eyes.

Those familiar eyes.

Those eyes were the ones she has been trying to draw ever since she laid eyes on it two days ago.
