Welcome to Damnation

Ch. 0 - He Who Is Buried and Forgotten

He made the slightest jolt, disturbed yet not enough to arouse him back into consciousness. There was movement right above him, the miles deep gravel and rocks untouched yet he can definitely sense the little bursts of force against the surface above him. He smiled smugly, sighing to himself in a cross between contempt and amusement.

‘Why can you foolish mortals not dig deeper and finally assist me out of this slumber?'

It has been a terribly long time. He has been trapped in a never ending dream. He was buried deep underground that even someone as powerful as him would not be able to dig himself out without outside help. In his dreams, humankind has progressed forward with incredible advancement. Their meager tools of technology have become daily weapons for survival and education. One ordinary person's brain in the new century can outsmart the most intelligent minds of the past millenia.

But the more they know, the more it stimulated their deepest, darkest desires. Greed, lust, violence, war - humans of the modern society feel a fake sense of comfort with these technology while others in the fringes are victims of such technology.

They may have progressed into a more civilized and educated species, but they have lost themselves in a race closer towards the stars.

All he can think was that humankind needed him.

'Indeed. It has been millennia, the world needs me. It needs a ruler, it needs an Almighty. It needs a hero, the Chosen One.'

Only he can help these poor lost souls.

He also knew who to blame.

'Those damned demons,' he angrily thought. 'Do not let the demons continue to plague your cores. Those angels cannot handle it all on their own. It is time to bring an end to their corruption, it is time for rapture.

Since a long time ago, those demons have done nothing but sow discord with their little ghosts. The House of Pandemonium have always been useless, unable to keep these demons in check. Why did demons even have to exist? Why did Pandemonium even have to prevail? Without Pandemonium, without the darkness, Avalon will be able to purify hearts of humans. There will only be good people, there will be no violence or war.

'Yes... I will eliminate every demon once I come out of here.'

He knew angels also wanted to get rid of these demons. They understand that the world will be better off without demons or Pandemonium in general. When he gains enough power, blasting Pandemonium out of existence will be the first thing that he will do.

For days, he listened to the sound of digging. It went on for so long, he even began to hope that the day he can escape from his earthly grave might be nearer than he though.

But suddenly, the movements stopped, and the inactivity continued on for days.

He waited, wondering if the humans will continue. But days pass, then months. He continued to wait, until the spell of slumber coiled back around his body. He slid back into pure slumber, accepting the fact that it was not the time yet.

'I know it will come,’ he assured. ‘Soon, the time will ripen. And then, the world shall witness my glory once again.
