Chapter 02

Amora's POV:

Let me just tell you that going here was easy, but talking to this old man is another story.

He was currently leaning over the counter, staring at us in his mid-dim kitchen while we sat at a table which looks as old as him.

Fayette whispered, "Creepy, huh?"

I looked at the wrinkled man, "Do you even talk bro?"

Honestly, I have no idea where that came from; I usually never talk like that and for some reason that felt foreign to me. Something in his demeanor changed as if what I said hurt him. His lip curled up and I could have sworn he had hissed at me.

He smirked, "Child, you will address me as a superior. I'm not this 'bro' that you seek."

I folded my hands on the table like a scolded kid, "Yes sir."

He shuffled his tiny old body around the kitchen, pouring some tea as he placed the cups on a tray.

He set the tray on the table, "Drink up, its mango." He said sitting down next to me.

I cringed because I hated mango but I took it anyway, "Thank you." I took it and sipped a little and I almost lost my innards, "So what brings you to Earth?" He asked wondering.

So this realm is called Earth.

Fayette answered lazily, "She wants to find love."

"A Rogue Avalan seeking true love?" He questioned.

I glared at Fayette then flicked my eyes back to Constantine, "Yes that is true. You got a problem with that?

His face faltered, "I'm assuming you were arranged to be married?"

I nodded, "His name is Prince Hunter, a Blyze."

He placed a hand on my shoulder, “I understand what you’re going through. I am also bound to marry a woman named Emery. Although she was captivating, but I just know I couldn’t marry someone I do not love.

"Is that why you moved here?" Perry asked curiously.

He nodded, "I've actually went through several realms, never finding the right one. That is until I came here."

Fayette asked, "How'd you know the person you loved was here?"

"Once I entered, I felt something in the pit of my stomach."

I raised a brow, "And what was that?"

He smiled, "Happiness."

My heart nearly dropped into my stomach as I comb my chair.

He smiled, "I'm guessing you've felt it, here."

I nodded, "I can't explain exactly what I'm feeling but it's making my stomach flutter like crazy. I don't know if it's because I feel something for someone in this realm or I'm turning mortal."

"Yeah she is… so cool." Fayette interrupted, causing me to roll my eyes.

"It is if it didn't leave a target on your back. If the greater beyond catches wind of you, they will capture you and torture you until they figure a way to cure their unholy grossness." He got up trembling from the table, "I should have seen this coming, I mean look at you, and you’re practically glowing."

I looked at myself and saw the slight shimmer radiating off my body, "Will I ever stop glowing? I mean how am I supposed to walk out in public looking like a glowing light bulb?"

He asked, "Are any of you a witch or warlock?"

He looked at me confused, "I know I am a Rogue, but how many powers have you contained?"

I thought about it, "Uhm… I am a Tsunanian, Blyze and… all right let me rephrase it. I have every power in Vudos except for The Tempus, although I can turn invisible but I can't change timelines. I wield more powers as well but I'm not completely aware of them yet."

He nodded in understanding, "I see. I propose you all stay here for sanctuary. I have spare rooms; it is the safest place for someone like you who is gifted as well as your friends. I will enroll you in school starting tomorrow because we have to keep you as normal as possible here."

"School? Wait no, I'm not going back to school." I argued.

Fayette agreed, "I'm with her on this one, old man time."

He shook his head, "You are considered minors here in this realm, and you must attend school like the Munds that reside here."

I protested, "But already I'm 18!"

“You guys are still classified as senior students here. Now, please find yourselves a room and I'll see what I can do for the three of you." He dismissed us from the table, "Have a good night, and please get some rest."

Constantine woke us up with the incredibly loud siren noise which came from the tiny speakers located in the corners of our rooms.

I rubbed my eyes and opened it, noticing that I am still glowing. I decided to take a quick shower from the bathroom located off the room and found the clothes that Constantine provided for us.

I walked into the kitchen, only to see them all eating on the table. My so-called-friends didn’t even bother to wait for me, huh?

Fayette smiled, "Morning, sleepy head." She held up an eating utensil, "This is a fork and an egg." Referring to the food and ate it, "So yummy!" She uttered joyously.

Perry turned to look at me, “Goodness Gracious, you’re still glowing!"

I nodded, "I'm a goddess, you baboon."

Constantine noticed it as well and he suggested, "Perry I need you to brew up a spell to mask her glow, anything along the lines of cross fading."

Perry nodded and whipped up a spell using his hands, he placed an invisible force upon me and I felt the glare from my body slowly die off.

I frowned, "I shall ruin you for this, now I feel like less of myself without my glow."

Fayette crossed her arms, "Full of yourself that much?"

Constantine stepped in before we argue even more, "Okay enough with the nonsense, children. I signed you up for school, although you have missed most of the previous months, you'll be attending North Pride Academy for four months. You'll need to learn how to control your powers in and out of school; these Munds are stupid and will react on anything out of the norm."

Fayette laughed, "Pride, huh? It sounds perfect for you, Amora."

Perry snickered and I tossed my hand up, sending them into the kitchen wall.

Constantine yelled at me but I shook it off and when the two tried to stand up, they failed because I’ve temporarily bind their feet together using a magic chain. I smirked.

Even though I wanted to fly, Constantine supplied us with our vehicle of choice, along with identification cards. We went through a long session on how to drive until we finally understood it and practice it quickly. Constantine sure knew how to live; his vehicles were seriously something else. He had a huge garage filled with several rows of various models. Fayette chose the red Ferrari, Perry went with the blue Mustang and I selected the blacked out street bike.

We drove up to the school seeing dozens of students stop on their tracks, looking at our direction.

I pulled my helmet off, "Looks like we are already drawing attention to us." I told Fayette as she stepped out of her car, locking it in the process.

Perry walked up to us in his modern attire, wearing his blue jeans paired with a white dress shirt.

He took off his sunglasses, eyeing me, "You couldn't have gone with a more subtle look?"

I looked down at my black skinny jeans, wearing a tight black tank top together with a fitting black leather jacket and combat boots that went mid-calf.

I shrugged, "I'd like to stay true to my power, and black makes me look awesome."

Fayette giggled, "You're powerless here, almighty queen."

I lazily rolled my eyes.

I looked at her clothes and raised a brow, "Got enough of pink?"

She gasped, "What? I wanted to wear something that isn't true to my power; otherwise I'd be dressed like you, a grim reaper."

"Whatever." We started walking through the parking lot, "So do we have any classes together?” asking the both of them.

Perry spoke, "Each of us has three classes but I think we have the same class on the next period."

Fayette looked at our schedules, "My first class is with Amora and third with Perry."

I nodded knowing I wouldn't be completely alone, "Good, now let's go make some trouble."

Fayette held my arm, "No trouble, we actually have to be civil here, plus these people look really weird."

I laughed, "Maybe they are the people of the greater."

She rolled her eyes, "Come on I'm excited to see what first period has to offer."

She pulled me through the double doors and went straight to our first class: English.

Our professor, Mrs. Darryl appointed us to our seats and I'm really glad that Fayette was directly behind me. Then I saw people pulling supplies out of their bags and I noticed that both Fayette and I didn't have any.

I turned back to face her, "We didn't bring anything with us."

Her face fell, "Oh, so that's why we needed the bags…"

I turned around and it's like everything went into slow motion. My heart was beating excruciatingly against my chest and my stomach tightened, releasing a series of butterflies. I closed my eyes as I feel my entire body increase in temperature but I froze on the inside. I was stiffed at a moment until I got back to my senses.

I grabbed the edge of my desk as I opened my eyes, only to see the most beautiful woman in this realm. Her blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders as her perfect eyebrows moved with the way she was talking. My eyes trailed down to her lips as I watched her part her perfectly plump lips releasing a chuckle. I felt my body drop straight out of my own skin and I felt something pulsating within me.

I turned to Fayette completely out of breath, "Goodness gracious! Your irises are turning pink." She stated in a deep tone.

"What?"

She placed her hands on my shoulders, "You have to focus, pink isn't a natural eye color in this world. Get back to your senses."

I nodded trying to blink the feeling away, "Did it work?"

She shook her head, "No, just think about something else, anything but her!"

I thought about my parents and how angry they must be for our departure, the fact that I never told them where I was going got me feeling a little affected.

I opened my eyes after some time, "Did it change?"

She nodded, "I like that shade of blue."

I smiled turning back around.

Mrs. D addressed the class, "For those of you who haven't recognized it yet, we have new students who will be attending this class for the remainder of the year." She gestured for us to stand, "Would you like to introduce yourselves?"

Fayette stood, "I'm Fayette Swanson."

She stated and everyone in the class greeted her with a hello.

I stood up, "And I'm Amora Vixen."

I found my eyes staring at the blonde lass in front of me and she smiled. I fell back into my chair mentally slapping myself for looking like a total idiot.

"Be careful there, cupid eyes." Fayette whispered.

I looked down and noticed my hands were completely red and starting to ignite. I quickly resorted to my water powers and doused the flames in my hands.

How am I supposed to pay attention in this class when she was literally sitting right in front of me?

She ran her hand through her hair causing her curls to fall over her shoulders. Then the smell hit me and I melted taking in her heavenly aroma.

"I'll be handing out your assignment, which is due at the end of the class, so please fill it out to the best of your knowledge." Mrs. D says handing us a piece of paper.

It landed on my desk as I stopped it from flying off. I made sure the rest of the class wasn't paying attention and I moved my hand under the table to conjure up a pen to write with.

Fayette grabbed my shoulder, "Don't, not here."

I sighed, turning around, "Then how are we going to write? It's due at the end of class."

She rolled her eyes and turned to the boy across her, asking sweetly, "Can I borrow a pen or pencil?"

He nodded fast, "Here you go," And handed it to her.

She smiled, "Thank you." She turned back to me, "Just like that." She winked.

I turned back around in my seat and closed my eyes so I can stable my breathing. I didn't think I could do this. I ended my internal battle with myself, deciding that I was being completely ridiculous and sucked in a controlled breath as I opened my eyes and tapped on her shoulder.

She turned around wearing the brightest smile I've ever seen. Her cute dimples bringing out even more beauty to her preexisting cuteness. My eyes trailed from her gorgeous emerald eyes down to her plump lips.

Her lips parted, "Yes?"

I felt the fire in me risen, causing my body to ignite but only on the inside. If I didn't douse the heat anytime soon, I would physically cook my innards.

I reached for my water power and sent a cool breeze of light mist through my body in attempt to control the heat. My body finally cooled down after the fifth attempt and I realized she was still waiting on me.

"Do you have an ink stick that I could borrow?"

She laughed and I blushed, immediately realizing how stupid that just sounded.

Why didn't I just call it a freaking pen? Good lord! On the other hand her laugh was extremely adorable.

She turned her body enough to retrieve what I asked for, causing me to stare at her chest as soon as the material became tighter, and “Here." She said, offering me a pen.

I broke my attention from her chest to the pen; I took it, "Your offering is most grateful."

She blushed, quickly turning around after my fingers grazed hers or maybe it was because she caught me obviously staring at her chest, either way I feel dumb.

All I'm sure of at this point is that this is going to be the longest hour of my day.
