Chapter Six

"Hey Lion, how do Japanese chihuahuas say hello?"

Lion raised a brow as he looked at the twins. He drank from his glass as he muttered a 'what' knowing the twins might bite him if he doesn't cooperate with their lame jokes.

"Koni-chihuahua!"

Hunter and Ethan burst out laughing as they clutched their stomach. Nick, the bartender, chuckled as he wiped a glass and placed it on the shelf. Lion chuckled as he gulped another shot. He sat up straight quickly as he felt a pair of eyes on his back. He displayed his usual angry mask as he looked back.

His green eyes met the boy's familiar warm brown ones. The boy smiled and Lion was about to wink when the twins told him they should head to the VIP room. Their leader, Hawk, left earlier with a girl so they expected he would be arriving an hour late.

"Nick, do me favor, give this to the boy with glasses at my back before he leaves yeah?"

Nick nodded. Lion then headed to their room and sat at the couch.

"Someone's looking at you earlier. We saw him smile. Has the Lion found his lioness?" Hunter teased as he sat next to his twin who munched at a piece cake. Lion snorted as he thought of the boy with brown eyes. Truly, the boy was a beauty but Lion always knew and accepted that he'll never have any relationship at all and die alone because let's be honest, even he wouldn't date himself. Not more than three minutes later, Hawk came walking inside and towards the fridge to fetch a red wine.

Ethan raised a brow, "You seem unusually early for someone who loves hooking up with multiple girls in one night." Hawk drank from his glass and sat at a single sofa. He chuckled as he recalled what happened earlier.

"I met a cute boy and asked for his price but he got irritated and told me his ass wasn't for sale. Damn, he was feisty." Hawk played with the liquid on his glass before taking another sip.

"How come you get cute guys while being straight when we, the gay ones in the group haven't gotten any ass for years!" Hunter defended as he got a piece of cake from Ethan's plate. The other nodded, agreeing to what his brother said.

"Maybe if you stopped looking like hungry cheetahs with those sharp teeth of yours, then maybe you'll get a boy of your own. I sometimes feel like people are more scared of your teeth than you yourself." Hawk explained as he placed his glass on the mini table. He opened the TV, revealing the desktop, indicating it was connected to a laptop. Hawk clicked on a few keys and soon, a video was displayed. He pressed play as the others watched.

"Pay attention to this video."

It looked like a CCTV footage and the darkness of the video explained that it was night. A man wearing a black mask climbed up of a large gate and went inside the large mansion. The guard was about to fire his gun but the man fired first with his pistol that had a silencer.

The camera switched to the balcony on the second floor of the house. The man climbed up and opened the glass doors. He took out something in his bag and gently placed it below the queen sized bed, careful not to wake up the sleeping figure of Hawk.

He then quickly left like he never arrived, putting everything back in their place and carried the dead body of the guard in his mini post. Before leaving, the man looked directly into the CCTV as if he knew it was already there in the first place, and displayed his middle finger.

The video ended and everyone's faces went from confusion to seriousness.

"Do you think it's Storm?" Lion asked Hawk as he leaned his elbows on his parted legs.

"Well, I checked the bomb that night and figured that it is the same type of bomb he uses everytime he wants to murder someone." Hawk said as he nodded to himself.

"That bastard, he never learns does he? Hey Hunter, why don't you and Ethan bite the fuck out of him?" Lion suggested but was met with a disgusted face by the twins.

"Excuse me? We like tearing people's skin apart but we have taste too. That idiot probably tastes a hundred times bitter than coffee." Hunter winced at the thought as he never felt so disgusted in his entire life. Hawk rolled his eyes but silently agreed.

Logan Scott, known by the name Storm, was their rival for more than three years now. Storm was the leader of an unnamed group, but if someone said 'Storm', most would refer to the whole gang so Logan never bothered naming his group. The guy was the most famous one back then but his crown was stolen when Hawk and the others rose up. Logan, being the prideful person he is, hated it and started to kill the members of the Broken Beasts one by one but never, not even once, did he succeed to do so.

knock, knock

"Come in." Hawk said as he motioned the others to ready themselves because you never know who might burst in through the doors. A tall man with bulging muscles in a black shirt entered and stood by the door. Hawk motioned for him to speak.

"Sir, the club has three girls that are available for service. Would like for me to bring them to you?" The man uttered with respect.

Ethan chuckled and draped his arm around Hunter as the other gave his twin a knowing smirk. Lion stood up from his seat and fixed his clothes.

"I guess I better go out now." Lion suggested and began to head out but Hawk's voice halted him.

"No."

The Beasts furrowed their brows at their leader, confused.

"I don't need a girl tonight, you may go."

The man then furrowed his brows too and stuttered.

"I-I'm sorry sir, but did I hear you correctly? I-I..."

Hawk raised his hand to stop the guard from speaking further.

"Did I stutter? Leave before I put a bomb in your mouth." He harshly spat, annoyed at the guard. The man muttered a small sorry and left as he shut the door. Hawk sighed as he leaned back and raked his fingers through his white hair.

"Woah, woah, what the fuck was that?" Ethan gasped as he dramatically put his palm over his forehead. The three men couldn't believe what they just witnessed. It wasn't like Hawk at all to reject a service. Hawk was that guy who loved playing with different girls every night without getting attached. Hawk was that guy who never cared about the feelings of his toys.Hawk was that guy who makes you feel special at first and then dumps you when he's bored. Hawk was that guy, not this guy.

"Don't overreact idiot, I just don't feel like it." Hawk muttered as he went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water then plopping down back to his seat. None of them asked further, knowing the guy might snap at them. Deep down, Lion knew something was up with his best friend and for some reason he felt like he knew what it was.

"I heard there's a match tonight and one of our men are in. Wanna watch?" Hunter suggested and they all nodded except for Lion who excused himself and went home.

Lion took a shower and went to his bed, dressed in shorts and tank top. It was comfortable for him whenever he was at home, or was it worth calling home at all? There's nobody else in the house except for him. Ethan just offered him this house where the twins' uncle used to live. Lion, who didn't have anywhere else to go, accepted the offer. It was crappy inside but at least its clean.

He sat on the bed and bent down, trying to reach for the familiar instrument under his bed. He soon felt it and carefully brought it out, placing it on his lap.

The guitar's brown color shone under the moonlight. He held it up and began to play with the strings as he softly accompanied it with his magically soothing voice.

He sang quietly as peacefulness filled his soul.

If only his life could be peaceful...
