Chapter 5

I spooned the last of my strawberry yogurt and glared at Demetrius from afar.

It was known to me that he was fully aware of my disapproval at his response to a vacation, but still he continued to ignore me.

"I know your just ignoring me." I stated. After my constant pestering, he felt it much easier to act as if I didn't exist.

"Can you at least tell me why you said no?" I questioned, annoyed at his nonchalant attitude.

"Because I don't want you out of my sight." He answered simply before focusing his attention back to his book.

"I'm not two!"

"No, but you are 21 which means you still posses the brain of a naive teenager." He gently held my head in his hands and I immediately removed it.

"I'm way past my teenage years Demetrius, stop being so overprotective." I argued.

He chuckled at my statement and shook his head. "If only you knew what really goes on in this world, my Sophia."

I looked up at him curiously. "Like what?"

He seemed to be in deep thought before whispering. "That is a story for another day." Suddenly, he began to walk away, signalling the end of our conversation, but I was far from finished.

"Demetrius Mavros, you get back here right now!" I ordered as I chased after my retreating husband.

I grabbed his arm and attempted to pull him back, but Demetrius being more than double my size made it almost impossible.

"Can you at least pretend that my continuous effort to move you is working?" I groaned as I struggled to catch my breath.

"I could... or I could just do this..." Before I could work out his intentions I was already being pulled into his solid chest with his lips claiming mine.

"I refuse to kiss you until you give me what I want." I removed my lips from his but he only reclaimed my lips again, coaxing me to return his kiss.

I tried to move again but it was no use, his hands had begin to roam my body hungrily and I wasn't sure for how long I could resist his caress, so I did the only thing I could do. I bit down on his lip like a carrot.

"Ow! τι στο διάβολο, Σοφία?" (what the hell Sophia?) He cursed as he held his bleeding lip.

"If you had given me what I wanted, none of this would have happened in the first place." I muttered dryly with no remorse.

"Is that all you have to say?" He looked at me incredulously.

"Yes." Was all I said before walking away.

"Put me down this instant Kevin. I know your mother!" I screamed as I continuously pounded on the back of one of my bodyguards while he carried me back inside the house.

"Let me go!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and tried to get out of his hold but to no avail.

"Give her to me." Demetrius' commanding tone brought my shouts of protest to an abrupt close.

"I beg you don't hand me to him." I whispered pleadingly in my bodyguard's ear but my request was fallen on deaf ears as I immediately handed to Demetrius.

"Leave." He ordered and the bodyguard wasted no time in exiting the room.

"I was just-"

"Shut up." Demetrius barely glanced at me as he carried me bridal style back to our room.

When we got to our room he dropped me, literally, onto the fall and went to stand on the other side of the room.

I slowly got up and made a move towards him put he held up his hand for me to stay where I was.

"Well?" He inquired looking up at me with so much and anger and worry?

"Did I mention how much of a loving husband you are..."

"Sophia." He sighed with irritation at my avoidance of the question.

"Okay fine." I sighed. "I stole your car because I wanted to get out of here and go anywhere. It's not fair Demetrius, I'm not Rapunzel. You can't keep me in his tower forever." I whispered the last bit and looked down, feeling completely miserable.

I heard Demetrius sigh from the other side of the room and rake his hands through his thick brown hair

"You really want to go on a vacation?" He raised an eyebrow. I walked towards him, this time he didn't send me away.

I held his hands in my own and nodded.

"Where?"

"Anywhere that is not this house."

He let out a long breath of air and took out his phone. "Mrs. Alexander? Yes it's me, Demetrius Mavros, I want the jet ready to fly immediately." Before the lady could reply he cut off the call.

"Yes! Thank you, thank you!" I squealed jumping into Demetrius' arms.

"Dont take my moment of kindness as a sign that this will happen all the time, just this once." He emphasized and I only rolled my eyes at him, a vacation, who would have thought?

"I'm so excited. Just me, you and the beach!" I turned his face up to the ceiling, so he could imagine it with me but he only scoffed.

"Start packing, we leave in two hours."

______________

"This is not what I had in mind." I crossed my arms across my chest and pouted.

"Yeah? Well it's what I had in mind." He barely looked at me as he concentrated immensely on his laptop.

"Demetriuss you tricked me."

He took off his glasses and smirked. "I don't know what your talking about, Mrs. Mavros."

"Mrs. Mavros? Now I'm certain I've been tricked." I shook my head at him and turned to look out of the window of the private jet.

"You'll thank me for this later." He muttered before turning back to his laptop.

"Yes. You bringing seven bodyguards to our vacation most definitely deserves a thank you." I shouted sarcastically.

I could see him stifling a laugh which only made me angrier. "Sarcasm doesn't look good on you." He commented as he casually poured himself a glass of wine.

"Well wine doesn't look good on you either."

"What?"

Before he could say another word I tipped his drink onto his trousers and made a run for it.

Vigorously, he attempted to wipe the red stain puddling down his trousers. "Fuck! Sophia Cassandra Mavros όταν σε πιάσω στα χέρια μου, όλος ο κόσμος θα με ακούσει να φωνάζω. Ελα αμέσως εδώ! Η ορμητικότητα σου θα με πεθάνει και πρέπει να σταματήσει." (When I get my hands on you, the whole world will hear me shout. Get back here now! Your impulsive stunts will be the death of me and they have to stop." I heard his voice boom down the corridors where I ran. I am in so much trouble.

I continued to run until I got to our room and locked the door. The idea of being caught was practically inevitable considering there was no where - other than this plane - that I could hide.

"Sophia, open this damn door now!" Demetrius angrily banged on the door and I remained silent.

"Sophia." He grit out in warning, but I still remained silent.

"Suit yourself." Were his two words before I heard the sounds of his retreating footsteps.

I tilted my head and looked curiously at the door. I stood still for a few minutes wondering if he had truly given up. Cautiously I opened the door and stepped out, no one.

"Demetrius?" I whispered anxiously but still I had no response.

Suddenly, I felt two hands grab my hips and I was pushed inside the room.

I stumbled as I entered the room and stared up in shock at Demetrius' furious expression.

"Erm..." I looked down to the pool of red on his trousers and couldn't help myself as I burst out laughing.

"You look- you look like you are on your-"

"I know." He glared at me and I immediately stopped laughing.

I could feel his glares across my whole body and I was aware of the building tension in the room becoming almost unbearable.

Feeling brave, I shakily reached into my jeans pocket and pulled out my secret stash of polos. I held them towards Demetrius and gave him a small smile.

"Mint?"
