3 : The proposal

Habiba paced Around her room in tears, The message she had received last week had left her devasted, and all she wanted was to awake from the nightmare which seemed to be vivid reality.

Her mother had seized her phone after Habibas outburst yesterday about having a boyfriend, whom she had shamelessly declared to her mother that she loved.

"Mum I love him, I love Sadiq so much" she recaled her exact words to her mother before the slap, her mother slapped her so hard, that she fell so Roughly to the Ground.

"Habiba he is here!, And why aren't you ready?" Afnan asked as she walked into habibas room.

"Ready for what?, I don't want to see that fool" she said as a hot tear cascaded down her eyes.

"You are the Fool and not him!" Her mother's voice startled her and she immediately stood on her feet in fright.

"I will not allow my daughter get married to a petty Cashier, that is impossible."her mother said Angrily, recalling how habiba had explained the job of Sadiq to her "And I promise you, if you refuse to Marry Amar, I will make sure Sadiq Attah losses his useless job and Never gets another job in his filthy life. trust me, I'll  make his life a living hell" her mother said, habiba knew better not to talk, she knew her mother was not fibbing and could do what she had just threatened in a snap of a finger.

"Mum, Don't do that please. Mum I promise, Sadiq is a very nice person, he is the only son of his father and the provider of his family. Mum please Don't" she pleaded in a teary tone.

"Then comply with me and marry Amar sheik" Her mother folded her chubby hands across her chest.

"Mum, I don't like him" she mumbled as tears Made their way down in the pace of a waterfall.

"You don't need to like him now. When you both are married I assure you will like Him" if only she knew how her words Angered Habiba, she wouldn't dare say it.

"Now, Afnan, Get your silly sister dolled up, Amar is waiting for her in the gazebo" her mother said and fleetly stormed out off in a dramatic manner.

"I don't want to marry that fool" mumbled habiba, Making Afnan roll her eyes.

"Seriously, Ya habi. Amar is not that bad, he is nice. Though he has a daughter but it's quit cute I guess, Habi just marry him, I mean if it were me I would Marry him in a heart beat" Afnan kept on talking dreamingly "I mean who wouldn't want to marry such a handsome man, like seriously I love his brows and..." She was cut short by a furious Habiba who yelled at her to get out of her room which she complied too, while mumbling curses her sisters way.

"Annoying girl" Habiba muttered while putting on her skirt Angrily.

"What are you hobbies?" Amar felt like he was pushing himself on Habiba who kept on Giving him Attitude.

She didn't seem ready to want to answer his questions.

"Habiba, The only reason I'm here is because of my daughter and not myself. Like seriously why would I want to Marry a rude lady as yourself" Amar spoke softly which made his words Pierce habibas heart more.

"Firstly, it is you who is Rude. And secondly, I know men like you, you are are only using your daughter as a pun in getting what you want" habiba scoffed.

"You are so naive, My mum was right. You are just a Child"He Said calmly Making habiba run out of temper.

"I'm not a child, and I am warning you never to repeat that again in the near future" she pointed her index finger at him.

"Hunty?" Amals tiny voice startled her, she dropped her finger and looked over at Amal who was walking over to her with her Nanny holding her tiny hand.

"Basma leave me, I want to go to hunty" Amal said to her Nanny who let go of her grip on Amal.

"hunty!" Amal hugged Habiba who smiled at the Beautiful Charming young Girl.

"Amimi, how are you?" Habiba held Amal in her Arms while Amar watched her blankly. He was wondering why she acted so nice to a child whose father she hated so badly.

"I'm fine hunty, Do you know what?" Amal spoke as though, counting her words.

"What?" Habiba asked, taking a glimpse of Amar who was staring at them, as though he was watching a very Strange movie.

"Daddy ate three of the chocolate you gave me" She said in a sad pout.

"Seriously?" She looked at Amar who looked away Angrily.

"Yes" Amal said.

"Don't worry my Love, I'll get you more chocolate" habiba Assured.

"No, she'll be taking no chocolate for the week" Amar said in finality.

"Basma take her back to the car and under no circumstances should you bring her here" he said Angrily to basma.

" Sorry sir, she was just crying endlessly" basma said, before grabbing Amal roughly from habiba.

"Are you stupid!, Is that how to Pursued a child to come with you?, Do you have to drag her?" habiba insulted basma who looked down in shame and Annoyance.

"Go basma" Amar commanded and basma did as told, she picked Amal who had begged to stay but was carried away forcefully.

"And you, mind your business, And don't worry I'll make sure my mother never speaks of this marriage ever again." he scoffed at her before storming out of the gazebo leaving her dumb struck.

The thought of Amal and the nanny Crossed her mind, she wondered if the Nanny takes care of poor Amal or just maltreats her.

The way she had dragged her, really Annoyed habiba.
