We went to her office, she made me sit across her desk. She had a very serious look.

"What you did yesterday is unforgettable, You won't receive a salary for two months." I needed that money. My salary here is, one thousand dollars. What I did last year is in my savings account for Emma's heart transplant. Instill have a long way. But it also pays for her medicines that are expensive.

"Please don't. I need that money, I'll work all day, I can quit school."

"You should be firing her, mother." I turned to see Victoria.

"I was defending my baby sis, you threw milkshakes at a four year old, then pinch and scratch her arms leaving marks." I wanted to punch her again. But that would mean losing my job, I was lucky enough Mrs Kingston was giving me a second chance.

"Out of my office, Victoria." She said and with that Victoria left.

"I'll give you a second chance, but you'll be living here. One mistake and you're out, understood?"

"Yes, Mrs King."

"Good, now you will wake up at five am and clean till seven. Then you will go to school and come straight here after is over. And you know the rest." she said and I just nodded.

I went to put my uniform and to my duties. Then I went to clean Shawn's bedroom. As I was cleaning his desk he came inside with a serious look.

"I'm almost done."

"Why did you hurt my sister and girlfriend?"

"They deserved it. They messed with the wrong person." I said while looking at him.

"It doesn't give you the right to punch them." He said with crossed arms.

"They messed with my baby sis, she's only four years old. All she wants is a day with peace and no bullying. Yesterday was a nice day, then your sister and girlfriend ruined it by Throwing milkshakes at four year old then pinching and scratching her, tell me that's not cruel. She's going through enough already to deal with two spoiled brats." I said with teary eyes.

"People always treat us different cause we're poor, it's not fair. But my parents told me something, the day we die we all go to the same hole, we don't take anything. Mom told me once, make treasures in heaven not on the earth." With that I left. I was not about to discuss this again. I wanted to go home and hug my sister and dad. But that won't happen cause I'm stuck in this place.

I went to my room, took a shower and called home to tell them about the new arrangements. He understood, Emma was sad but told me she would see me soon. That she would be counting the days till I get home.

While most people would be thrill to be living in a mansion, I wasn't, I was happy in my house with Emma and my dad. And once upon a time with mom. Tears started to fall. I miss her so bad. I cried myself to sleep.

The next morning, I got up did my daily routine and clean the first half of the mansion. Then I went to get ready for school. I made my way to the bus station. Yeah this is how I transport from one place to another. Dad is the only one with a car.

Once I arrived, I went to my locker. What I needed right now was a freaking long nap.

"Hey sleeping beauty." I turned to see Donna. "Thanks for sending me a text about not going to the club." She pouted.

"Sorry, I had to deal with work and two bratty bitches." I huffed.

"Victoria and Laura. Whore one and whore two." She said causing me to laugh.

"You're crazy." I chuckled.

"Well, I hate them. They're so annoying. Wonder what would happen if her parents knew that perfect V, has a secret girlfriend."

"Wait what?"

"Yep, I saw them at a restaurant holding hands, kissing, she told her that she was so happy being in a relationship with her."

"Wow, but as much as I hate her, that's not yours to tell. She has to come out on her own." I said while giving her a look.

"Fine, you're too good, you're like me conscience." She sighed, I couldn't help but laugh. She always knows how to cheer me up.

Classes went by and it was time to leave school. And back to hell. As soon as I made my way outside, I saw a Emma running towards and hugged me. I picked her up and carried her to where dad was.

"Since we won't see you for a week. We will be picking you and taking you to the King's place." Dad said, I smiled while hugging him.

"No squishing me." Emma said. Causing us to laugh. We got inside he car and he drove me to the mansion.

Once we arrived, I hugged them both so tight. I didn't want to let go of them.  After saying bye, I went inside. And to my luck, Laura and Shawn were watching a movie in the living room I'm supposed to clean right now.

Why me?
