Eight Year Later...

It is Sunday. Exactly a week later he is going to reach home. He stood in the deck watching the sea.

The sea is calm like his mind. But it was a calm before the storm. He knew that well. For now he wanted enjoy the sea and storms needed to be waited till he place his foot on the ground called home.

He missed it very much.

He was returning home. The place where he left his past without a second glance.

He closed his eyes for a moment.

Deep blue orbs with depth of an ocean and long dark brown hair with curls which reached up to her waist. Her smile like monsoon rains that will sock you with joy and happiness. Her pink lips like rose petals always invited him to kiss her.

He missed her terribly. Was it love hidden in ashes or guilt of betrayal? What made him remember her every day , he don’t know either.

Her name tasted like a ripe sweet Indian mango in his lips. He missed her every day in his life. The one woman who still haunted him in his dream and life. One woman who was supposed to be his better half.

Even though he was married to Cynthia he always felt himself as adulterous man who still in heart madly love with his ex-love. He tried hard to forget her. But Cassie's smiling face still made his beat faster. He dreamt of her. He often felt livid with that feeling.

He was loyal to Cynthia and made her happiest woman who ever lived. But in his heart he was a cheater. He cheated Cassie when he dumped her and married her elder sister and left without any words. He cheated Cynthia by making love to her while letting his mind shamelessly wander to her sister.

He needs to apologize to her. And make amends for what he had done.

But he was sure his Cassie will forgive him once he explain his situations with Cynthia.

What made him dump her and marry the less beautiful sister? But that is not an easy task. Cassandra Greene was never easy woman. It took him great deal to make her fall for him. She chose him and rejected her rich admirers. Many wanted her and ready to dump all their wealth on her feet.

He is now her brother in law. Not former lover. He had dignity. People respected him.

He need her forgiveness. Cynthia may be dead but he had not moved on. His past is still fresh.

He felt Cassandra's pain and anger of his betrayal even though he feigned ignorance at that time. He was bounded with ties which was unbreakable that time.

He knew well she won't forgive him that much easily. With time he will earn that.

Cassandra loves him. May still loves him. He hoped falsely.

Cassandra who put fire on dress earl's daughter just because she flirted with him, is a vengeful woman. Who can’t tolerate any other woman near him.

He had lost diamond. And not easy to gain back.

But he will go any length to gain forgiveness.

Otherwise he couldn't live. And for her smile, he would do anything to see it again.

And he wanted her again at any cost.
