SINFUL AFFAIR FIVE

MARICAR jerked out of sleep when she felt something heavy around her waist and thighs. She was alarmed when she remembered what happened between her and Stell a while ago. She can't stay there that long because someone might see them in that situation. She didn't expect them to reach that point on the very first day of their work.

She shook her head, it's not time for her to think about that anymore because it's already done. All she wanted to do was to get out of that place right away. She knew by that time that her friend who's taking good care of her mother was waiting for her.

Luckily, Stell slept soundly, that's why he didn't know that she already left. She takes a bus to the hospital. And while she was on the bus, she couldn't help but think of what had happened earlier.

She admits that Stell already has all the qualities that women are looking for. Good looking, tall, head turner, and above all, he's very talented. At first, she thought that Mr. Vegas was an old man, but he wasn't.

She pressed her thighs together as she remembered the hot scenes they shared. She feels like his manhood is still inside her womanhood. She also slightly bit her lower lip. He gave her an unforgettable romance and breathtaking sex. She knew that what had happened between them was wrong, but her body feels like it has her own life and gave in just like that.

She gets back to her senses when she heard her phone ring. She immediately answered it when she saw that it's Luna, her best friend.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Maricar, where are you?" she asked.

"I'm on my way to the hospital."

"Yeah! You should because Auntie Heleina is looking for you."

"Just tell her that I'll be there in a minute."

"Okay! Take care!" Then she hangs up.

"THANK YOU so much, Cely. Same to your boyfriend. You should have rested after your duty, but you're still here in the hospital watching over Mom," Maricar thanked her childhood best friend Luna.

Luna and her boyfriend Julius are both nurses at the hospital where her mother is confined due to heatstroke. A week ago, they agreed that after Julius and Luna's duty in the hospital, Julius would take care of her mother in the morning, Luna in the afternoon and she's at night.

Luna was the daughter of her mother's friend Lucia, their neighbor. Her mother, Helena sells fruits and vegetables using their old tri-bike before, revolving around three villages just to sell. They didn't have enough money to buy a place in the market, especially now that Manila was banned from distributing goods on the sidewalk.

"You don't have to mention anything, girl. I have nothing to do at home. I'd rather be here for the rest of my life than in our house without peace, at least I helped you somehow to take care of your mother."

Many children in their neighborhood are playing outside, especially on weekends, including the noises of carpenter's tools in the backyard due to the renovation of houses.

"That's why I'm so grateful to have you always by my side," she said, teary-eyed.

"You know what, Maricar? If your thank you have monetary worth, I'm probably a millionaire right now." They both laughed at her joke.

"You know that you look like a sister to me so stop saying your never-ending thank yous because I couldn't withdraw it from the bank," she added.

That's another thing she liked about Luna, her sense of humor. She can change and breeze her emotions in a matter of seconds. Their moms have been best friends also since high school so no wonder they are also best friends.

Despite all of that she still feels insecure towards her friend but in a good way. Because aside from having a degree and a permanent job, Luna also had a responsible boyfriend. Unlike her, she just finished high school because of poverty. She had dreamed of becoming a lawyer, but it didn't happen, and most importantly, she's unlucky when it comes to love.

She also doesn't seek any help from their relatives because she knows that they also had their expenses. Unlike Luna, who had a stable life because her father and older brother were working abroad. Her father died early due to kidney failure, so her mother supported her alone. But because of her mother's maintenance, they were in debt. She had told her mother not to work, but she insisted because that's her only way to remove her boredom. So that her mother didn't always think about the loss of her husband, that's why Maricar decided to give in to whatever her mother wanted. But here's the result of having a stubborn mother.

She was only seventeen years old when she made sacrifices. She worked as a dishwasher and a sergeant at Aling Pasing's Canteen. But she decided to leave it because of her mother's situation. They have to pay for the hospital bill that she could do nothing but took over her mother's small abandoned business so that she could provide at least for their daily needs.

"You made my day, girl!" That was the only word she could say towards Luna's kindness.

"Well, that's what friends are for." She smiled, wiped her tears, and embraced her.

"You can go now, girl. I'm sure your boyfriend is waiting for you outside."

They did the cheek to cheek before Luna left.

"WHERE have you been, Maricar?" Heleina asked, her mother.

Oh, she had not yet told her mother that she had a new job. "Mom, I found a short-term job in Kitsville just enough for us to pay your hospital bills that's why I came here late."

Heleina smiled. "Really?! What kind of job?"

She looked away. She's wondering if she should say that she's the nude art subject of a famous sculptor? No! Her mother will probably not like that and she doesn't want Attorney Radoc to get involved because she doesn't want her mother to think about it also.

"Maricar?" her mother interrupted her in her deep thought.

"Huh?"

"I said, what is your job?"

"H-housemaid!" she reasons out.

Her mother nodded her head and held her face. "Don't stress yourself too much, okay? Don't worry, I can help in Lucia's business so—"

She shook quickly. "No, Mom! I will not let you work again. You know your condition, right?"

Due to her mother's condition, she couldn't move all the left parts of her body. She needs therapy for her to live normal again. Luna's mother has also volunteered to take care of her friend when she is at work. At first, she didn't agree because she felt she was too abusive. And who will take care of their merchandise store if Mrs. Lucia takes care of her mother?

She agreed to the Attorney's agreement because that job was only temporary. But in the end, she couldn't do anything about it because Mrs. Lucia can hire someone who can take care of their store.

"But—"

"Mom! If you want to help me, just stay at home and take good care of yourself, okay? For me?"

"Okay."
