Chapter Four

Chandler's POV

I don't know how long we standing there but, I know his shirt was soaked from me crying and we were just standing there being quiet. Not a word was spoken. I pulled back and looked up and him.

"I need to go home." I started to step back but, he came with me and didn't let go of my waist.

"We need to talk Chandler." He gave me a hopeful looked.

"I know you want to talk Clayton but, I am way to tired right now. I think we should talk tomorrow." He gave me a little smile.

"So you will talk to me. So if I asked you if you would go on a date with me tomorrow would you." I stiffened when he said date. I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

"What if I say we can go someplace as friends would that be ok." He gave me a bit of a sad look. I hate when he looks at me like that.

"I guess that would be fine for now."

"For now?"

"Yes, I'm not giving up on you. I don't care what your not telling me but, I won't stop until you go on a date with me."

"Well I hate to break it to you but, It's not gonna happen Clayton." His eyebrow raised and got a little smirk on his face.

"That's what you think?" I shook my head at him.

"You know you are way to confident in yourself."

"There's nothing wrong with be confident about my feelings towards you." That is just so confusing.

"What feelings Clayton? You just barely met me. How do you already have feelings towards me." I stepped out of his arms and leaned against my car.

"I know this all sounds weird to you but, in time I will tell you. I don't want you to freak out."

"Well it's a little late for that Clay. I'm already freaked out here. I meet you and you don't leave me alone. Then you say that you love me. I just don't understand any of it."

"I know that's why in time I will tell you."

"In time how long will that be."

"Are you already getting impatient."

"I can't explain the way I'm feeling towards you Clay. I feel like I've know you for a really long time but, I've never met you in my life until now."

"Did you call me Clay?" I didn't even realize I called him that.

"Ummm ya I guess I did. That's not the point though."

"I like it when you call me that. I've always wanted the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with to call me that."  I couldn't help but feel my heart drop when he said for the rest of his life. He would never have that with me. Why am I even considering this. I promised that I wouldn't bring anyone down with me.

"You won't be able to have that with me Clay." Ugh stop calling him that. He started to walk towards me and lean in to me as he put his one hand on the side of me.

"Like you said Chandler. I'm pretty confident that I will." He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Why are you so afraid of this."

"Because it's not worth hurting you." You just need to go home. You can talk more about this tomorrow.

"How could it hurt me?"

"Can we just talk tomorrow?"

"Why are you ignoring my question?"

"Well I'm not ready for this conversation and you make me nervous." Oh my hell Chandler why did you say that out loud. He started to smile.

"I make you nervous." He started to to brush my cheek with his finger. I bit my bottom lip cause my heart was racing right now. "You look cute when you bite your lip. Kind of sexy actually."

"Don't say that." He chuckled.

"Why?"

"You know why. I have to go please. I'm really tired."

"Ok but, I'm gonna pick you up tomorrow so we can talk. 10 ok with you."

"At night?" He laughed a little.

"No in the morning."

"Well I guess that's ok."

"I'm gonna need your number so I can tell you when I'm coming."

"I think you'll be there at ten so I already know when you'll be there."

"Trying not to give me your phone number. That's fine I can just ask you grandfather." What?

"How do you know my grandfather?" That's weird.

"It's a small town Chandler. Everyone knows everybody. And our families are friends."

"Umm ok why haven't I ever seen you before then. I've come to my grandparents a lot when I was younger."

"You might have seen me you just probably don't remember. I don't either so we probably didn't. Anyways can I please have your number. What if I can't make it and I have to tell you. You would just think I stood you up."

"Well you do that often to girls so that wouldn't be new for you." He gave me a hurt look.

"I know I have a bad reputation. But I'm changing. And I would never do that to you."

"Why am I so special?"

"Cause we're meant to be together. It's destiny."

"Wow that was one of the corniest lines I've ever heard. That's like sappy love movie material right there."

"Well get used to it cause you make me feel like I'm in a sappy love movie."

"I can't even believe I'm going to do this. Give me your phone." His smile grew wider. He got his phone at of his pocket and handed it to me. I punched in my number and put in my name and gave it back. He took his phone and started to punch buttons. "What are you doing?"

"Just checking something." He put the phone to his ear and my phone started to ring. Why haven't I changed unknown caller ringtone from 'Hey Juliet' by LMNT. That's not embarrassing. I quickly grabbed my phone from my pocket and stopped it.

"Oh so you didn't trust me did you?" I raised my eyebrow.

"You can never be to careful. I like the ringtone though." Oh gosh. I rolled my eyes. "It's pretty fitting if you ask me."

"Oh my gosh I am leaving now. I will see you tomorrow." I pushed him back and opened my door and got in. I pulled on the door but he stopped it.

"Thank you for agreeing to talk with me tomorrow." He gave me a kiss on the cheek and shut the door. And walked away with a little innocent grin. I rolled my window.

"Your lucky I don't run you over for that."

"I think we both know how that worked out last time." He gave me a big grin and walked towards his house. That's right. Come to think of it how the heck did he hold my car still like that. That is gonna have to be discussed tomorrow. I turned my car on and put it in drive and drove off. Before I knew it I was home. The hole way I could not believe that I actually agreed to see him. I am seriously going to regret this. The walked in the house and met my mom and dad in the TV room.

"I thought you were staying the night at Roxi's honey." My mom looked at me worried.

"I just wasn't feeling up to it. I had a long day today and I was to tired to party." She sighed. I was not going to tell her about my puking my guys out and Roxi's house.

"Ok sweetheart. You just need some sleep. I'll see you in the morning."

"Oh mom could you make sure I'm up around 8:30. I have a friend coming over and he's taking me out tomorrow." Oh why did I say he. That perked my dad up.

"Is this a date or something." Ugh me and my big fat mouth.

"No we are just going as friends."

"Does he know that." My mom was trying to hide a smile obviously enjoying seeing my dad grill me about this.

"Yeah I already told him that I'm not looking for a relationship dad. There's no point in one."

"Honey don't say that. Maybe it would be good for you to be with a boy." My mom leaned forward and my dad gave me a worried look.

"Mom why would it be good for me to start something and then hurt them when I can't be there for them."

"Well do you like this boy."

"Yes-- but that's not the point."

"You like him." She had a huge smile.

"Oh my gosh I am not talking about this. Just please wake me up in the morning."

"Ok honey I will. Just stop denying you don't like him and that it's a date."

"Dad could you help me out here." He tried to hide his smile.

"Alright hun let her be. You doesn't have to admit that she likes him." My jaw clenched.

"Both of you are hopeless. I'm going to bed." I stomped off up the stairs to my room like a child. I am so not looking forward to tomorrow. But yet I kind of am in the back of my mind.
