Prince

One week had passed and during that short time Coraline gained new knowledge about this era little by little, and she gradually became accustomed to ancient time's lifestyle with the help of those people around her.

She initially thought she would find it difficult to get along with the people around her but she was mistaken because she was able to reconcile with the people here. She couldn't help but to wish that she would stay here and never return to the present.

In the present, her life is such a big mess that she doesn't want to go back. Because no one wants to hurt her here unlike in the present where she came from where those people loves to hurt her physically and emotionally. People in the past accepted her and treated her well.

"Cora?"   she heard Juliana calling her name.

She looked at her and she was worried for Juliana when the latter's lips looked pale and eyes were slightly red. Her friend is definitely sick based on the look. Juliana entered her room weakly, she immediately approached her for a walk. She made her friend sit on her bed before giving her a glass of warm water. Severe fatigue was evident on Juliana's face.

"You are sick,"   she directly said to her.

"Yes Cora. That's why I came here to talk to you, I want to ask you a favor."   Juliana almost whispered to her.

"What is it Juliana?"

"Mr. Martinez ordered me to go to the Market and buy some goods, but I couldn't make it because I was sick."   Juliana stopped for a moment then coughed.

"Can you do what Mr. Martinez tell me to do?"

She smiled softly before nodding. Even she didn't knew this town so well she agreed to what Juliana was asking, it is just a simple request though. She also want to reward her for helping her out, by gratifying her request.

She laid Juliana on her bed to rest. She even went to the bathroom to fix herself. When she was finished she didn't hesitate and immediately left the mansion to go to the Market, carrying with her the money and shopping list that Juliana had given her earlier.

As soon as she left the mansion, a carriage stopped for a ride. The carriage is a type of ancient car in the Philippines, a two-wheeled horse-drawn. The flight lasted more than ten minutes to her destination. When she paid the coachman, she immediately entered the crowded Market. She took a deep breath as she smelled the smell of rotting vegetables, frozen fish and anything else that could be found in the market.

A few minutes passed when she finished shopping. Her purchases were simple just a meat, vegetables, fruits and some seasoning and spices. She did not immediately hesitate to get out of the Market to ride carriage that will bring her to the mansion.

She only lasted a week during this era so she could not roam especially each place was unfamiliar to her. She would go on a tour and get acquainted with every area in Martinez town, soon.

She let out a sigh of relief before crossing the middle of the road, she wished that she would not have done it. Cause a carriage was heading to her direction. She was only a few inches away from the running horse so the frustration and fear she felt for herself increased.

She seemed to be froze in her position that she could not run away, what she can do is to close her eyes, covering her ears and wait what will happen next. She thought she could feel any pain or throw herself in the area but that didn't happen because someone pulled her back to the side of the road, both of them rolled on the floor causing her to break one leg.

"Ouch!"   she could not keep up with the pain.

She had a bruise on her right cheek, forehead, elbows, knees and even her broken leg. She forced herself to stand up to thank the man who had saved her life, if he had not pulled her away she might have been trampled and hit by a horse.

"Are you all right, Sir?"   she worriedly asked to the man lying on the floor.

The man get up from the floor. She was shocked to see Ybrahim's handsome face, with a bruise on his lips and a bleeding nose. She swallowed heavily before assisting him to stand.

"Are you really a stupid lady?!"   he shouted.

"Where is your brain! A poor young lady should not cross the middle of the road! You are a big fool!"   he added.

She could not hold back her tears because of the hurtful words he was yelling at her. People were already staring at them and she was listening to their rumors. Some have pity on her while the others make fun of her.

"Sorry if I was ignorant Sir. Ybrahim, I just came into this place unaware. I'm sorry."   she said.

She avoided looking at him as Ybrahim's eyes fixed only to her teary eyes. His eyes soften as if he's pity her, perhaps only to be taken a back those words he uttered. She breathed before wiping the tears that were about to dry down her cheeks.

"Who are you with?"   he asked her, her voice is now calm.

He's not like earlier that he has a high voice.

"I have no one. Juliana is sick so she asked for me to go at the Market to buy some goods."

Ybrahim did not answer her, instead he tightened his jaw as if he's suppressing his anger. To her surprise, he held her right hand. Even if she had difficulty walking because of her broken leg, she act normal so he could not recognize it, Ybrahim might be more angry with her.

Ybrahim opened the car door. She rode away so that Ybrahim nothing could say anything to her that could hurt her feelings. He sat beside her in the back seat, the driver started driving and she sighed as a relief.

"Your nose is bleeding,"   she said softly.

Ybrahim just looked at her. Because he did not speak, she herself wiped the blood from his nose. His forehead twitched slightly when she applied on his nose the hanky she had, Ybrahim didn't complain and let her do what she was doing.

She couldn't help but to swallow heavily when she noticed Ybrahim's gaze on her, as if he's memorizing every angle of her face. As soon as their eyes met, her heart beat faster. If she had not abstained from looking at his eyes she might lose consciousness because of her heart being wild in beating.

She tries to do fast what she is doing to finish it off, cause she can't stand Ybrahim's gaze anymore. She was about to end up wiping the blood clot on his nose when the car they were riding stopped all of a sudden causing her to bumped herself to Ybrahim's face. Her lips accidentally applied to Ybrahim's smooth cheek.

She kissed Ybrahim on the cheek even though it was in fact an accident. She breathed a sigh of relief before giving distance between them. She pushed herself to the side to distant herself from him.

"What's the matter?"   Ybrahim questioned to the driver, without any emotions.

"There's a cat who appeared suddenly ,Mr. Martinez! My apology."

"Drive cautiously next time."   he warned.

They didn't took so long before they reached the mansion. They both dropped at Ybrahim's car. He walked first and she was behind his back. She hadn't been able to move her foot, she winced and screamed because of the pain she was feeling in her foot.

"What is your problem?"   Ybrahim asked in a worried voice.

She's unable to answer, he quickly made his way back to where she was. Ybrahim noticed that she was holding her ankle and he already had the idea that she might have broken leg. Ybrahim sighed, she was surprised at what he had done.

Ybrahim just lift her up, as if they were a newly wed. She grasped Ybrahim's neck as he started to climb the stairs to reach the main door of the mansion. Her heartbeat was once again beat faster. Her lips opened as Ybrahim's movements are getting so slow, in the present they called it slow motion. He was like a prince in a drama where he rescues a poor princess trapped in a tower.

'She smiled when she thought Ybrahim was her prince.'
