ELLA cannot understand what she's been reading because of the noisiness of her classmates.

Their Filipino teacher is absent and so everyone seems to be enjoying their chattings and jokings especially the boys. When she can't stand the noise anymore, Ella decided to leave the room. She carries her bag and tells Joyce about it so she will not go looking after her just in case.

Joyce like the others is so busy chatting and laughing with their classmates. But she was not sure if she heard her.

She laughed with the thought that her best friend even left her seat to enjoy the company of their other classmates.

All of them are surely having a great time.

Well, high school life as far as she knows is the best according to those who already graduated and experience how torturing college life was.

On a bench under an old acacia tree, her feet brought her. At least she can read peacefully there. She will be able to finally concentrate.

After a while of being there alone, enjoying the company of the soft breeze and fresh air, she notices someone's presence who seated beside her.

It is normal to turn to find out who that was.

But Ella couldn't control her brow knitted after finding out that it was a male. And in addition to that, was a very handsome or to make it short, a really pretty boy.

She felt the romantic excitement in her heart as she glances at him. She tried her to act normally and she made it.

The guy's side view angle did not decrease his charm and how appealing he was. And that appeal is what seems to be the magnet that pulls her away and commands her to look at him many times.

She couldn't understand why it was so hard not to look at him. She even placed a hand under her chin unknowingly.

"I hope I passed your standard," the guy smiling widely when he suddenly faced her.

Ella gasped wildly because of that then instantly look away from the man. She quickly fixed herself and stood up in an intention to leave but the man was able to grab her in the arm before she was able to take a single step. It was when Ella felt a sudden flow of strange electricity in every part of her body.

"Hey, I was only joking," the guy said laughing exposing his perfectly white set of teeth.

She wanted to answer but shame came over her so she decided to gently pull her arm from him and hurried to leave. If when her heartbeat became normal she couldn't tell. She is already at the entrance of their building when a sudden urge to look from where she came from was so intense and so she did. Only to regret and get stunned at the same time blush after finding out that the man's gaze is following her. And as he sees her look back, with a huge smile on his face he waves at her and even gave her a flying kiss.

Ella's beautiful eyebrows met and then suddenly look away. "How arrogant!" she whispered annoyingly and continued walking along the long corridor which will take her back into their classroom. They were on a star section so their room is located on the first floor.

"Where have you been? I've been looking for you, why you just disappeared?" Joyce asked as soon as she seated in the chair next to her.

"I told you I'm going out. Haven't you seen my signal? You even nodded on me," she replied frowning.

"Whoa! What happened to you, why you seem to be in a bad mood?" Joyce asked her resisting to laughed with amusement.

She turned to her best friend annoyingly. "An arrogant guy gave me a flying kiss there at the quadrangle," Ella explained in a low but very much irritated tone.

Joyce was moved by what she said. “Really? Is he handsome? Where? Come on show him to me!” Joyce suddenly became excited to see that annoying guy. She even grabs her arm and pulls her upright.

"Hey, will you just stop! If I do that he might be able to see me," Ella said pulling her arm back and returned to her seat.

"No one would ever have the courage to court and come near you if you are always like that," amused, Joyce said as she returned to its seat beside her.

"And who told you I need a boyfriend? All I wanted to do is to study," she replied rolling her eyes.

Joyce was about to say something but the entrance of their Social Studies teacher stop her. As the class started, for a moment a certain individual whom Ella met on the quadrangle vanished in her mind. But not long until a familiar face appeared right at the doorstep of their classroom a few minutes before their class ended.

"Luis, what do you need?" their teacher Mrs. Devantes asked him as he said his excuse for interrupting the teacher's class.

LUIS HUH, ARROGANT BEAST!

At the back of Ella's mind is what she wanted to say.

"My gosh, he is so handsome!" Joyce whispered giggling while covering its mouth with its own hand. While the reaction of the whole class is the same as Joyce's who seems to be smitten with the guy's charm.

Irritatedly Ella glanced at her best friend. "He was the one I was talking to you. Yeah, he is handsome but very irritating that could easily turn me off," she said in a low tone of voice.

As soon as she turned to Joyce again, she could see the sparkles in her best friend's eyes. Ella can't help but amusedly laugh at her.

"You are so lucky he gave you a flying kiss. If I were you I will flying kiss him back!" Joyce said following his words with low giggles that made Ella laugh again.

"Will you just stop? He might hear you and think you have a crush on him!" she told Joyce in restraint.
